I always stay at this Motel 6, as it’s half way to Rockaway Beach in Oregon. I have health problems, 5 shoulder surgeries, 1 knee replacement, bad back & waiting for a hip replacement now & I can’t drive to Oregon in one day, due to pain. This motel 6 is in a great location (even though I get lost in the traffic circles) as it’s right off the I5, & close to Costco & Fred Meyers where I get my groceries for my stay in Oregon. The staff are always kind, helpful & professional & I appreciate all of them!

There seem to be many other guests staying there who are partying, drinking & loud & throwing garbage around. But all is quiet by 11pm. I feel safe though as I know the staff are aware of this & they handle it professionally & keep an eye on everything.

Not quite luxury but still acceptable for what we needed. Stayed here before this so I kindof knew what we were getting into.

None of the lighting options made for an ideal night light. If there was a way to turn on only one of the lights in the sink area that would be perfect, but that wasn't possible. We ended up having to drape a sweater over one of the bedside lamps. There were a few small holes in the bedsheets (cigarette burns maybe?) but we never found bedbugs or anything like that. The single queen bed rooms also don't have a microwave or fridge, but that wasn't a dealbreaker for us this time around.

Very friendly, efficient check in. The air conditioning was excellent, a feature we appreciated after a long hot drive. Our room was nicer than I'd expected. There had been some recent renovations notably in the bathroom, which was very nicely finished. The room rate was extremely reasonable, but then we had a very basic room (no coffee or tea, no fridge, no microwave and limited furniture, though we did appreciate the small table at which we were able to have dinner). The parking lot was very well lit and monitored (an important feature considering some of the guests and people lurking around the motel). The motel is very conveniently located just a couple of minutes off I-5.

We liked the room, but a note to prospective guests: make sure of what you're getting. As I had noted, our room was very basic but that's because we paid less for it. A slight upgrade will get you a lot more. Since it is a very economically priced motel, there's quite a variety of guests staying there, so it's a good idea to make sure your vehicle's parked close to your room. The room was clean, but there were stains in the bedspread.

The staff are all incredibly helpful and kind- everyone from the front desk, to the cleaning staff. Anything I needed, such as extra towels, garbage bags, were generously provided. They are a great place if you have dogs. Very accommodating to my large pup, and friendly to him as well. The caring and kind attitude here is really what makes this Motel 6 exceptional.

The parking fills up quickly, and I wasn't able to park anywhere nearby my room. Had to wait to move it later. Watch your valuables and keep stuff locked and out of sight, as there tends to be lots of people walking the streets that were kind of sketchy. It's this way around town everywhere though. The abundance of security cameras around the property were reassuring.

staff were friendly, beds were comfortable, no smoke smells, neighbors never gave me any trouble, multiple restaurants within easy walking distance

mostly smaller nitpicks: a few of the lights in my room were burnt out (staff offered to give me a discount for that but wasn't able to.) shelf space in the shower was lacking, my comb and shampoo bottles often fell on the floor. the bed I used had some hairs on it. Laundry machines only accept quarters,you need a total of 20 just to get one full load done, and that's not including paying for detergent, which from what I saw wasn't supplied. (neither of the products that were available were clearly marked as detergent) staff was thankfully willing to give me the change I needed. There's also the nearby construction noise but it didn't bother me too much personally, acted as an alarm clock if anything. beware of it if you plan to sleep late into the morning.

There are two guys who alternate working the overnight front desk shift, and an awesome woman who is there mostly during the daytime. They have all been incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help no matter what our needs were, and this really made our stay much more enjoyable. Even the cleaning/maintenance staff are always smiling and greeting customers.

Several rooms need to have the front door weather stripping replaced. Our door sounded like it was open from the rush of the cold wind and I5 non stop traffic noise when it was fully locked. The base boards, sides of cabinets, and headboards are badly needing to be wiped down. When I asked a staff member for a spray bottle so I could adequately disinfect the room, they said they weren't allowed to. So I asked if they would just spray a bit on a cloth directly for me. Same answer. No. This is really gross, and makes me think that a large portion of the building goes unsanitized and disinfected. Yuck.

The staff at the front desk are all extremely professional and helpful- Especially the woman with darker hair who works during the daytime. They were quick to accommodate any requests or extra items needed. The ice machine works, the pool is super clean and open for long hours, and the beds/pillows are actually extremely comfortable.

Traffic and construction next to the motel is obnoxious. The grounds next to the parking lot in dog potty areas were covered in TONS of dog poop, and you could tell it hasn't been cleaned up in a long time. The potty bag dispensers are not kept full regularly. Theres a lot of unsavory individuals that roam around the area, particularly at night, so watch your valuables and keep them out of sight in your vehicles. .

This property is clean and the staff is exceptional. Billy, Jenn, and Brian are wonderful and caring. Jenn went the extra mile to accommodate me in specific rooms I liked best. Billy was super pleasant and professional on the weekends, and Brian was there in the evenings when I needed something. I recommend this location to anyone.

I have been a guest at MANY MOTEL 6 around America... I have worked at a high end hotel and NO ONE PLACE CAN MATCH YOU-R STAFF AT YOU-R TUMWATER WASHINGTON MOTEL 6 FOLKS! YOU-R STAFF ARE CONSISTENTLY VERY GOOD AT WHAT YOU-R DOING... YOU-R CARE.& KIND-NESS/CLEAN-LINESS=CONSISTENCY IN AN EXCELLENT STAY... AGAIN ! YOU-R STAFF R-BRIGHT LIGHTS...THANKS FOR LEAVING THEM ON!

The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. It was close to the freeway. Good value for the money. We were able to continue on our trip going south. The pool was clean and uncrowded, so I was able to teach my grandson how to swim!

It was a little far from family we came to visit, but the motel itself was easy to get to. There wasn't much we did not like about the motel.
