The photographs of the property were obviously taken many years ago - and since then the building has suffered - ripped flooring, cracks/discolouration in walls, handles that come off cupboard doors, a safe that didn’t work… it is a heavily discounted property to get people to book. You think it’s a $400 room being discounted to $100, but it is only worth $100 due to the need for renovation, maintenance, painting, etc.

I was attending a meeting at the Melia and the HanoiOi was close enough for me to walk to and from the meeting, so this was very convenient. The staff were always very polite and extremely helpful. Overall, I was very happy with my experience at the HanoiOi.

We loved this apartment; it was one of the best ones we stayed in, and we traveled quite a lot. The communication with the host was great; the location was nice and quiet, but the best part was the apartment itself. It was big and spacious, decorated stylishly and luxurious, making us feel welcome and comfortable. It's a type of apartment where you say you wish you could stay longer. The home cinema with the huge TV, the well-equipped kitchen and the comfortable double bed made it even better. The kitchen also has a pantry with additional groceries which functions as a mini-bar, you take anything you need and you just leave the money behind. We took a few things and it came very handy. FOR DOG OWNERS: our dog felt very welcomed in this apartment. There was a bed prepared for her with towel for he paws, as well as a water bowl and treat. Never had a better experience before while traveling with our dog. I would recommend this place 10/10 and would definitely return.

This dynamic duo went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Their attention to detail was remarkable—anticipating our needs, ensuring every moment was comfortable, and delivering service that rivals (if not surpasses) even the most luxurious big-chain hotels. What truly amazed us? Even after checkout, they continued to assist us, tailoring their help to our Vietnam itinerary to ensure we had the best experience possible. Their dedication didn’t just meet our expectations—it raised our standards for what a quality hotel should be.

This hotel is in the perfect location for easy walking all around Hanoi... we walked everywhere exploring together. The staff at the hotel were exceptional - they met every need we had and went above and beyond to help. They always had a warm welcome for us. We stayed here on three separate occasions during our 2 week holiday in Vietnam and had the same kindness and consideration shown to us at each time. The hotel was spotless and breakfast was great. The added bonus of a 12 noon checkout helped greatly too. We most definitely recommend the Minasi HanoiOi Hotel.

We do like and enjoyed our stay at the HanoiOi Hotel ! Especially Ngor at the reception did a very responsible and thorough work. We spent one night before we went to Halong Bay. Ngor tried his best to satisfy our needs for a twin room . He is also honest about the situation and that’s why we returned for another 3 nights. He also arranged the airport shuttle from/ to the hotel for us at reasonable prices . We think the most tasty food of the free breakfast is their beef rice-noodle soup which is better than any other restaurants we had in Vietnam! Also the chef and the waitress are very nice. We feel all foods are elaborately prepared for treating guests . The young waitress was so kind to bring a tray of breakfast to our room as my husband was not well that morning. We also feel the owner of the hotel handles its business smartly by adjusting prices timely.

We think if there’s a real window in every unit , the hotel would be more comfortable and welcomed by more people.

This hotel was lovely, really really enjoyed my stay. My room was lovely, stylish, in great condition and extremely clean. The room had sockets which take a range of plugs including UK ones which was very handy. The bed was comfortable, I slept well and it was pretty quiet too. The bathroom was lovely, also very clean and the shower was great, lots of hot water. There was a safe and a small fridge, small bottle of water. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice, nice pancakes, fruit, pastries, bread, the lady working in the breakfast room was so nice. The reception staff were friendly and helpful but not pushy which was great. They booked a bus for me and it was all very smooth and a great bus company. The location is fantastic, less than 5 minutes to the lake, so really easy to get everywhere.

The only small thing was that sometimes there was a smell of food in the room, from cooking somewhere but it wasn't all the time and it really wasn't bad. I would definitely stay here again!
