We spent six nights in this stylish hotel at the end of March 2025 and were very satisfied with our stay. Just 5 minutes' walk from the old town, this hotel offers an ideal starting point for visits to this area of Hanoi. Due to an early flight, we arrived at the hotel in the morning, but after a short first walk through old town we were able to check in at 11:00 am without extra charge, although the official check-in was 3:00 pm. Great service! We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the room was very comfortable and well equipped. The AC works very well and is really quiet. The breakfast buffet is excellent, there is a large selection of international and national dishes. We were also very satisfied with the staff - from the front desk, to the bar, up to the breakfast area - always friendly and service-oriented. Our special thanks go to Mr. Tung Do, who greeted us every day with a smile and gave us good tips on how to spend the day.

We like the cleanliness of our room service staff. Additionally, the hotel's location.

We didn't like the shower area because it was the bathtub, which was very difficult to get in and out of. Additionally, when showering, the water made the floor wet and slippery. We are an old couple who have difficulty using this kind of bathroom. Additionally, water was leaking near the toilet area. We had requested twin bedrooms, but instead, we got the beds put together as one large bed. This meant that when one of us moved, the other would notice the movement, which could wake us up while we were sleeping.

Impressive suite with big ample space. 2 wide wall screen TVs each at the cellar & in the room gives us the choice to be at either place. 2 washrooms to use at will & a wider beautiful bird-eyes-view of the area. Location is very good with only 10mins walk from The Old Quarter & Hoan Kiam Lake plus Trang Tien Plaza(Shopping Centre). Local traditional Vietnamese food shops just few minutes away from Hotel. Staffs from front desk to housekeeping very friendly & helpful. Wish to highlight one morning when we ran out of water to boil, one housekeeping lady happen to be outside our room. Told her we need two bottles of water & immediately she brought to us without any delay. We then went out for sightseeing & upon our return, the room was done well & to our surprise, there was an extra 1.5litres bottle water beside the usual ones. How thoughtful was that lady & the extra mile of service given⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

None to mention.

very good location, well-designed room, great view, I rly like how the elevators work

please update the TV into a smart TV, not much people watch cable tv anymore, give us youtube, netflix, and other apps, or at least a TV that has screen mirror, the room was so perfect until I saw the TV. and the guy checked us out at early morning on 1st Sep was really bored I think, he just completed all the necessary protocols like payments and yeah we were checked out, there was no other communications asking how was the experience, any feedbacks, didn’t even ask if we need any transport arrangements at 4am. We knew it was early morning but dude, ur job was hospitality. The rest was perfect, so it was a solid 9/10.

Clean, comfortable and a good sized room, plus I was on a higher floor so I had a great view across Hanoi. The fresh fruit plate provided on the day of my arrival was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and great to fall into after a day of exploring the city. The rain shower was wonderful. A wide variety of local and international dishes was offered at breakfast. The general vibe in the hotel, especially in the lobby lounge, was really upbeat and welcoming. All staff encountered throughout my stay were friendly, from the hotel's representative at the airport to the receptionist who handled my check-out. The hotel's location couldn't be better - just 10 minutes' walk from Hoan Kiem Lake and less than 10 minutes to the Vietnamese Women's Museum where you can catch a sightseeing bus.

I'm certain I could smell cigarette smoke coming through the A/C vents one night, which was quite unpleasant. However, this only happened on one occasion so I didn't mention it to any of the hotel staff and it didn't impact my overall stay. The TV software needed upgrading and there were lines / discolouration across the screen whenever I watched any channel - again, I didn't raise this with any of the staff as it wasn't a big issue for me, but I'm sure they would have rectified it straight away if I'd mentioned it.

We really liked the clean and comfortable rooms, the Premium Room and connecting Suite were perfect for our family. The location was excellent, just a short walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and close to many shops and attractions. Breakfast had a good variety of Western and local options, and the hotel felt well-maintained with friendly and helpful staff. One special highlight was the surprise birthday cake the hotel sent to our room for our son, a very thoughtful and memorable touch.

The only downside was the cost of breakfast which felt quite expensive compared to typical prices in Vietnam.

Check in was smooth and easy, room was clean and daily room clean was helpful. The staff were all very friendly and spoke good English.

The local breakfast selections were great but everything else (western, Indian food) were mediocre and sometimes downright bad. Not an issue for me since I loved Vietnamese cuisine, but for a hotel that’s catering to a lot of westerners, this might not be good news. The door also doesn’t close easily, you must always force close it when you enter or leave the room. I didn’t know at first and my door was left open! Nothing was stolen or taken so no problem.

The location was excellent. It was easy to access the old city, the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, the rooms were comfortable (excellent pillows) and the gym was one of the best I’ve used when traveling.

For me, it was nearly perfect but if I’m going to be critical, I would say that the bathroom sometimes smelled of sewage. The odour was so strong one night I had difficulty sleeping. I know this is a common problem in SE Asia because of the heat and humidity and old pipes.

Melia provides a high standard everywhere in the world, as well as in Hanoi. great offer at breakfast, quiet in the well soundproofed rooms

surprisingly very bad pizza in the restaurant - just a heated industrial semi-finished product that had nothing to do with pizza. In contrast, a very well prepared steak. Nothing particularly exciting around the hotel, but nothing bad either - possible to walk to the old quarter or a while by grab

We visited the Melia Hotel for our honeymoon and we are so glad we chutes this hotel. It beautiful and everything felt luxurious. The service was exceptional. We tried the breakfast buffet one morning and it was delicious. The lobby bar had happy hour everyday and we loved going to get a drink before dinner. There was a live band playing during happy hour that was lovely. It was a bit of a walk to the main entertainment area/old quarter but we enjoyed taking the longer walks and that meant it wasn’t loud in our area.

Nothing bad to say. Maybe more information about the spa services on the website.
