Love the ambience, the view; over looking the Westlake. the variety of choices for breakfast. super yummy. food at the Milan Restaurant was super yummy. brings me sweet memories of having dinner in Milan, Italy. Room wise, the view was beautiful. Thumbs-up!

I didn't know that the room I booked was above the lake. the scene was super pretty, weather was very comfortable, room was cozy. In view that my room was located on 2nd floor and I need to climb. There's no elevator to the 2nd floor not any handle on the staircase. The staircase is pretty slippery. Hope the Owner could improve on this.

location, view, room with balcony overlooking lake was just amazing!

we checked in very late and went to the bar to have quick snack. felt a bit rushed as bad was closing in an hour. understand everyone wants to go home:) but it’s 5* so a bit of patience would be appreciated. I work in 5* hotel in London so I know how it is!

This hotel truly lifted my spirits after a streak of bad luck with canceled flights and getting sick. From the moment I arrived, I felt an immediate sense of relief—the comforting thought of "Yes, I’ve come to the right place." In just one night, I felt so rejuvenated that I was ready to continue my travels for another 10 days, even though I had been on the verge of wanting to go home. First off, we were able to check in early at 12, which was an absolute lifesaver after arriving completely sleep-deprived. The staff noticed it had been my birthday the day before—a celebration I had missed due to being sick—and they went out of their way to arrange a full birthday welcome, complete with a delicious cake, even though it was a day late. It was such a thoughtful gesture. On top of that, we were able to check out late at 2 PM, which was a huge relief as our flight was (no surprise) delayed. We could even still use the gym after checking out. Some other highlights worth mentioning: The room felt luxurious, spacious, and came with an amazing bathroom. They even stocked it with my absolute favorite high-end brand (Byredo) for shower gel, shampoo, lotion, etc. I literally couldn’t believe my eyes! Breakfast was incredible. We got a deal for €15 per person, and it was huge! They had everything you could possibly want. Since I was still recovering and could only eat certain foods, I was in heaven with all the options available. The service was top-notch—the chefs even walked around to check if everyone was happy. The gym was fully equipped and spacious, with everything from free weights to machines. There was also a sauna, which was absolutely perfect for the chilly weather in Hanoi in February. This hotel turned a miserable experience into an unexpectedly wonderful stay. I can’t recommend it enough!

I wish I never stayed 4 nights in old quarter but here instead.

It was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. The room was lovely and very comfortable. They provided everything you could possibly need for your stay. The Sunset Bar had a fantastic view and the service was excellent.

It would have been helpful to have a bit of guidance during check in about where things were as the hotel is quite large. I found myself wandering around a lot asking random people where to find things. I also had to sit in the room for 2 hours waiting for them to fix my safe, although the manager did send me a plate of fruit to apologise which was a nice gesture.

The overall experience and service we received this Christmas at InterContinental Hanoi Westlake has put this hotel in my Top 5 in the world. We arrived to an early check in and an upgraded room. The staff couldn't do enough everywhere we went - restaurants, concierge, reception. Everyone we met, just excellent service. The inclusive buffet breakfast - perhaps the best of any hotel I've ever experienced! We booked into the Milan Restaurant for Christmas Eve dinner. The set menu was phenomenonal - creative and delicious - and again; the staff were fantastic! This was our fave, esp. the string quartet. Christmas Day we booked into Café du Lac, a different vibe as it was a buffet lunch and less smooth an experience (wish we'd gone back to Milan), but so much effort had gone into the buffet it was still an impressive experience. I love that the Exec. Chef would come round the room to chat. Our large, over-water room with balcony had everything you could ever imagine, from minibar to huge bath, rainforest shower to pillow menu, massive smart TV to wireless & USB charging, ironing board to safe, bathrobes and slippers to wine glasses, tea making facilities and complimentary water. All made up daily. And if you didn't wanna walk - just press zero for the buggy to come collect you. We stayed 3 nights and left feeling valued, relaxed and superbly looked after. Thank you IC!

We loved the location and views of the lake. Its quieter than the city but only 10min grab away. Plenty of laneways close by with coffee shops, spas etc as well as places to eat within walking distance. The staff were very attentive, without being intrusive and our room extremely comfortable. Overall great place to stay and we will definitely return.

We loved our balcony although music from pool area was a little annoying at times.

I stayed in 1 of the 3 pavilion rooms built over the lake - which paid extra to upgrade. It was tranquil for sure. Wifi worked well throughout my stay. Breakfast was plentiful with a huge variety - all fresh & pleasant service. All the staff were courteous & smiling. Location is nice on the lake - for me as a runner a great place to run around each day. The swimming pool area also relaxing. There are several great restaurants on the nearby streets
