The owners kindness. The manager was available and very accommodating with me and for the payment. The room was charming, clean, the air conditioning works well and is quiet. The bed was comfortable, and I have back problem, so it's the first thing I check. Not the western standards for beds, but better than usual vietnamese standards for this price. There is no real view from the window, due to the fact that it is in a small alley, but this allows for peace and quiet away from the noise of traffic, which is rare enough in a big city in Vietnam at this price to be highlighted. 30 seconds from the lake and amenities 👍🏼

The Urban Westlake Apartment is really convenient place to stay in Hanoi. The Staffs and owner are super kind. I stayed on 1st June till 4th of June got unforgettable experience. The room is clean and the location also restrategic. Really recommend to choose if you visit Hanoi. I will come back again.

The studio was clean and ideal for a solo traveler, with fast WiFi. Although it’s an apartment, they generously provided free towels, toilet paper, shampoo, soap, and shower gel. I also appreciated the free potable water tank in the hallway. The highlight of my stay, however, was the free-use washing machine and tumble dryer in the hallway, along with complimentary laundry detergent. Communication with the apartment owner was smooth—she reached out a day before my arrival to confirm my arrival time and provided the entrance code to the main building and WiFi password. When I called her with a question during my stay, she answered immediately. An attentive host like that truly enhances the experience of booking an apartment.

One small improvement would be adding hooks in the bathroom for towels. Moreover, the apartment is not fully soundproof, contrary to its listing on Booking.com. While the apartment building itself is relatively quiet, a noisy and inconsiderate family lives in the alley next to it. One night at 3:00 AM, they left their doors open with the television blaring, making the sound clearly audible from my apartment. I woke up and struggled to fall back asleep because of the continuous noise. The next morning, they started shouting and playing loud music at 7:30 AM, with the noise coming straight through my window. However, if this family stays quiet and indoors, you can expect a peaceful night's rest.

Tu and the staff were incredibly kind and very responsive. Everyone I came across made me feel so welcome. Tu was waiting to welcome me and even found me in the alley without me asking as I was lost trying to find the place. The location of this modern property is in the Tay Ho district which is about 3 miles away from Hanoi old quarter. It’s def. not a tourist area, which means it offers you an authentic Hanoi life experience. There is a lot to eat and an excess of coffee shops that also serve tea and smoothies and just five minutes walk away is a grocery store with produce and household essentials. And then there’s beautiful West Lake just outside the doorstep. The room was huge and has plenty of space for my clothing and suitcases. The kitchen has a portable burner, a pot, a pan, a plate, cups, and silver ware. Theres also a hot water boiler, mini fridge/ freezer, and a microwave. The bathroom has no curtain or divider for the shower so water spreads throughout. I would recommend bringing shower shoes as it takes a bit of time for the water to completely dry.

There is construction going on next door, and though the Urban Westlake team has no control over this I feel it’s something to note. If you’re a light sleeper the construction work will wake you up. The walls are thin so you can really hear all the drilling and banging. And they work varying hours so sometimes you’ll hear it at night too. I recommend bringing earplugs to combat this.

The studio apartment was very clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. I originally booked for 4 days and extended my stay there for another 9 days. I loved the location, near to West Lake and in a local area, with lots of coffee shops nearby, especially the small one in the same lane as the apartment building. I had coffee there every day. I would very happily stay there next time I am in Ha Noi, and have already recommended it to friends.

This is a brand-new property. It is not a hotel but a private apartment with a private kitchenette inside the room. It is clean. The air conditioning is working well (This is important as now is summer in Hanoi). The wifi is strong. It has a small fridge. The hot water is working well. The hosts Ha and Na are so welcoming and friendly. It feels great to stay here after days in the bustling Old Quarter. The property is a short walk from the lake so it is great to have an afternoon walk to watch the locals and enjoy the lake.

It would have been great if there is a list of places to eat and drinks.

Mr Tu was very nice and helpful, gave very clear explanation to get to the apartment. The studio was decent, the bedding wasn’t too bad, the shower room is very small and combined to the loo and a sink, I hadn’t realised that. We were only staying one night and arrive at 5:30pm and left at 6am the next day for that short a stay it was perfect honestly.

The lamp on top of the right side of the bed isn’t very practical we had to put the cord around the curtain thing so that I didn’t have it in my face. Quite noisy all night even during the night but Mr Tu apologised for it and again, we were only staying one night and went out for dinner and just came back to sleep. But you can hear everything. Plus we were very tired so slept conveniently!

Internet could be better, had some times it faltered, construction noises early in the morning right outside were annoying sometimes, but if you bring earplugs or wake up early anyways not too bad, overall these two issues are very minor and the positives greatly outweighed the negatives

She did a great job and was always available via WhatsApp, especially when my partner was not feeling well due to illness. ✅️ The location was still great for us, with Grab you can get to your destination quickly and cheaply. ✅️ There is good coffee in the area for all coffee lovers. All sights are also within easy reach (via Grab) Thank you Ha Viet for your help 😁

The service was first class, the staff are friendly, polite, attentive, and will try their best to accommodate your requirements. Rooms are cleaned upon request which is good. The location is great with easy access to West Lake, lots of shops, cafes, street food, restaurants and shopping centres nearby, as a native I would recommend the location if you prefer to keep a distance from the touristy areas. Overall, great stay, thank you team! :)
