Great value for money. The 6-bed dorm was quite comfortable, with separate toilet and shower rooms. There's also a bar and food service on site. The food was delicious. Hostel guests get a 10% discount on the food bill, which is a great bonus. Overall, I really enjoyed the vibe here. The location is convenient too. I’ll definitely come back if I get the chance.

The bed is super comfortable and the room is spacious. The staff were very kind and waited for my arrival very late at night. The showers and the bathroom are clean, and there is a common area as well to talk with fellow travelers. They gave me a towel as well without an extra cost. The hostel organises activities in Ho Chi Minh and nearby areas.

They don't close reception at night (there is no door), which may feel a bit insecure, but all the rooms have electronic keys and an alarm if the door is opened. Reception is open 24h I think.

Koha from reception and the cleaner were very polite and helpful. The beds and the room was great and it is very clean. Nothing similar to the bads reviews that you can see here. The location is very good and you don't need a grab i just walking is okey. Thanks.

The rest of the employers that work there inclued the ones at the bar are not polite att all. I asked to wark my own water and at the begening she didn't want it so I used the one that was ready worm after talking with reception because she couldn't speak english. It was very weird because there was no clients at the bar at that time and I just want to warm my own water, riduculous. It would be nice is there is a ketel and a water refiller for guests as in others hostels. It is a suggestion that could help others travellers.

Met my expectations. I used to live in HCM and I would most likely recommend that place to anyone looking forward to discovering the city. The location, staff, and amenities were great. Thank you

Plugs by my bed struggling to work. I had to find a way to make my phone hold onto it so it could charge properly. The air conditioning is a bit cold but nothing dramatic since the duvet is nice and cozy.

Anna & the staff at 9 Hostel were very friendly and accomodating, happy to answer any questions about local offerings, tours etc. I booked the Mekong Delta tour through reception & they offered a good rate. I stayed in the female only 6 bed dorm. The beds are spacious and comfortable, the high ceilings give plenty of head room and the mattress was long enough to accomodate my tall frame (5’10). A/C in the dorm worked great. Dorm and beds appeared clean, spacious lockers in the room for your valuables. The showers in the 2nd floor bathroom needed a bit of a deep clean, but the facilities in the larger 3rd floor bathroom were much cleaner. Decent water pressure and good hot water. The cafe / bar downstairs has a good offering including vegetarian meals. Location is excellent, walking distance to key sites of interest in District 1 and many many great food/coffee options (including vegan) as close as a 2 minute walk. Rooms were very quiet considering the central location. Would stay again!

9Hostel has the best location, staff, internet, food, and drinks. I honestly had such an amazing time that I even extended my stay by three days. I loved the all-women hostel rooms—they weren’t far from the bathroom or common area. I also enjoyed having a girls-only shower. The staff—oh my gosh—were amazing! They gave me such a warm and hospitable welcome. I’m so happy I got to meet them. Their café is incredible. Their teas and sodas were to die for, and the fact that they had beer on tap at a great price was also amazing. It was a great place to hang out and be treated well. The bed was very comfortable, the curtain provided great privacy, and the noise level dropped around 10 p.m. I loved it and would definitely stay again. Note: There is no elevator. Circle K less than a minute away. Also you get to exchange your towel for a new one EVERYDAY.

No water dispenser or refrigerator to hold things. But I could live without those.

This was one of the loveliest hostels we have stayed in! The dorm rooms were spacious with HUGE lockers, and the beds were very comfortable and had lots of surfaces to store your personal items. Each bed had a curtain and a light, and the AC was very good! The bathrooms were clean, well-lit and I never had to wait as there are plenty of showers/toilets for each room. The staff were kind and helpful and the café downstairs looked lovely too (although we didn't spend time there). Good location, a short walk from anything you'll need in district 1. Highly recommend!

Super comfortable stay in a clean, modern and central building. Stayed in a 6-bed female dorm, right next to a female-only bathroom, which meant there was never any waiting for bathroom/shower facilities and always felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveller. The staff were incredibly friendly, and it was great to have the coffee shop/bar on the ground floor for some delicious drinks. Also very close to main city attractions, plenty of food options and easy pick up for tours or transport.

Not a hugely social hostel. Dorm guests changed nightly and no hostel based events to meet others. But also not advertised as such. Just to be mindful of!

Stayed in a private room. The bed was very comfortable and shower had great pressure and was hot.

Its not aesthetically pleasing, the bedding was lime green and beige. My room had been painted so it's not like the picures. They could do with a a full size mirror in the bedroom. The bathroom is a wet room and the only mirror is above the sink opposite the shower. There is no lift but they will help you with your luggage. This hostel has no common room to get to know other travellers, just a cafe on the ground floor.

This is a great hostel I took the private room as I have a child and the staff were really helpful, the cleaner carried my really heavy case on her back to the top like it was a piece of cake 😅the beds are huge and clean, bathroom had powerful shower and toiletries, the bar downstairs is cool and can get a coconut or coffee in the morning then drinks at night too, it’s very safe around there I went out with a child to the circle K across the road at midnight there’s no stress, I would definitely go back if I was back in Saigon
