we have repeatedly stayed at the 'Jolie' and absolutely love it, on this occasion we brought a group of 21 guests to celebrate a birthday in Ho Chi Mihn City for the weekend and the hotel could not have been more accommodating. This is not a big hotel, this is not the most polished of hotels but what its is, is its clean, its in a great location and the staff are truly wonderful. At this price point its hard to make a decision and our first visit we took a punt based on others reviews of the staff and they where not wrong. We are staying elsewhere in the city tonight as the Jolie is booked out and its just not the same. we truly love the staff here. the rooms a pretty standard for the city, but super clean, the breakfast is good (we do love to get out and explore the city and there are some fabulous options to eat nearby also - fine dining 'Ox not only Ox' is half a block away, Vietnam House just two blocks away). the rooftop is magnificent, and while it is only a plunge pool it is a great space to hang out and we have always found it super friendly and communal and it had fantastic views. The hotel's greatest asset you will also find on the rooftop in 'Daniel' who is possibly the most wonderful, happy and engaging barman who cannot do enough to make your stay wonderful. This is a fantastic small boutique hotel that will not cost you a fortune (i have had far worse experiences in much more expensive a hotel)

that sometimes its booked out and we can't get in.. some people will not like the fact some of the cheaper rooms don't have windows, but this is common in the area and you are only there to sleep.

We loved our stay. Our suite was incredible! Large bedroom, plenty of wardrobe space and a bathroom with huge, Romanesque private spa, steam room and twin basins. The view wasn't special but you can't expect everything and it was quiet, as we requested. The rooftop bar was cool and Daniel is a great guy who makes excellent cocktails. Bar and food prices were very reasonable and we spent an entire evening there enjoying the view, the cocktails and Daniel's friendliness. We didn't use the pool/spa but it looked great and is well maintained. Easily big enough for several people to lounge and wallow in! Breakfast choices were good (Asian/Western, hot/cold options) and afternoon tea was a great way to unwind after a hot day. The hotel is clean and very well maintained. The lobby has a touch of class and there was always someone readily on hand to help if needed. It was an unexpected bonus to be able to enjoy afternoon tea and have a shower after checking out. With a late flight, this meant we could enjoy a final day in the city after checking out but return to collect luggage, have a bite to eat and a shower at no extra cost before leaving for the airport. However, above all else, the entire hotel team made the stay special. Highly proficient, professional and well trained but warm, friendly and genuine. They attended to our needs efficiently, quickly and willingly and always had a smile and a welcome. They deserve high praise. The turn down service with a chocolate on the pillow sums things up - a bit of old fashioned class at an affordable price. We definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again.

Daniel on rooftop bar was very helpful and friendly. He made my stay very spectacular!! The room was clean and spacious too. It is a great location, perfect if you want pick up from hotel for torus. I had some Vietnamese pancake for afternoon tea, it was delicious! 😁

It was a good central location, the rooms were cleaned regularly & the staff were lovely.

We landed on the reunification festival & we had to go to a sister hotel first as per an email we had received, only the sister hotel didn't seem to know anything about it & it took a long time at 10:30pm at night to get it all sorted out when we just wanted to get to our hotel & rooms to relax after the flight. It was just a bit of miscommunication that could have been avoided & dealt with a bit better but the staff were very lovely & brought us out drinks to cool us down & helped with our luggage.

A charming place where the staff were truly gorgeous! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed. At check in I was orientated to the whole place which was really helpful - I loved the rooftop view, I enjoyed using the rooftop spa & I loved the afternoon tea. The staff helped me with everything -use of a charger, swapping my afternoon tea day because I missed it on arrival, leaving me to work in the room ( I had a 6 hour teleconference), and for a quick chat which made me feel so welcome. Ho Chi Minh City is busy and bustling & this is a great location to be in and feel safe to walk around and explore. My room was perfect - I had a comfortable, quiet, sleep. I wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you for the sincere warmth, attention and dedication of all your staff. I really enjoyed my stay.

A cake of soap in the bathroom would have been nice.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location in District 1 is unbeatable, with main tourist attractions within walking distance. The hotel itself is very nice, and my room was spacious and comfortable. We opted for a room with a window, which let in plenty of daylight despite the lack of a view. This didn't bother us at all, and we would happily choose the same room again. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide range of both western and local options. An added bonus was the afternoon tea, included in the room price. What truly stood out, however, was the amazing and helpful staff. They were always ready to assist with airport taxi pickups/drop-offs and booking excursions. A particularly nice touch was the rooftop bar, which offered stunning views of the river. It had a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, which was a pleasant contrast to the city's vibrant vibe. The bartender, Daniel, was exceptional—friendly and attentive to every customer, and he served fantastic alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails.

There were a lot of things to like about the hotel from the hotel itself to the staff. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see and do and we had a nice view of the River from our room. The room was very clean and beautiful. We needed to use the laundry service due to the unexpected rain and the staff were very helpful and the service was very quick. Breakfast was very good, and it had a lot of variety. The High Tea was also a great addition which we really appreciated and enjoyed during our stay. Some of the facilities including the pool and the sauna were undergoing renovation so we could not use it, but Edith - one of the staff members - provided us with alternative location options. She also gave us very helpful suggestions on where to go and what to do during our stay in Ho Chi Minh City All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, a special mention to Edith and Kimi for their kindness and their help from the start of our stay all the way until the end I will be definitely returning to this hotel when I come back to Vietnam again

Excellent location, Waterbus 5 minute walk to the left, Opera House 5 minutes straight, Little Japan (feels like a Tokyo neighborhood) 5 minutes to the right. Staff and service were excellent without exception. Every guest was treated as a valued guest, the ambience and vibe couldn't have been better. It is not one of the new and "fancy" places, probably the reason why it feels so comfortable. Breakfast was way more varied than expected, virtually anything you could want no matter the diet preference, afternoon tea (I believe included in every room rate option) was good, quality fresh fruit options always available. Incredible river views from the roof top "small-pool, Jacuzzi, bar, lounge, dining" area, considering its only on the 9th floor. Special thanks to Daniel, Sydney, Nine, Mia, Mike, Jennie and Ava. If I didn't live so far away, I'd be on the rooftop tonight :)

There was nothing not to like. My stay was just shy of three weeks. I stayed in a Junior Suite with an incredible river room. Please note that not all rooms may have windows or incredible views. If your budget allows, I highly recommend a room with a river view, if your stay is longer, consider opting for the more spacious Junior Suite.

Highly recommend to stay here when visiting Ho Chi Minh. It is well located so that you can reach most sightseeings by walking. Plus it is in a rather quiet street so you get some time off from the very busy city. The facility is clean and the breakfast and afternoon tea (which is much more than just tea) offered a lot of good choices. Once they even had live music. Above all the staff was exceptional. Always smiling, very attentive and helping proactively. We also tried one of their recommended restaurants (Quan Bui), which turned out to be really good.

Not much, just some minor details: For digital nomads: Internet was a bit slow at times in our room, so you may not be able to work in it. You can hear people from other rooms, water pipes and the mini bar fridge was pretty noise. You may want to bring something for your ears if you are a light sleeper.

The service was lovely. Huge thanks to Edith, who was incredibly helpful. Really warm presence with such hospitality. Dephia and Mike too. I went for English Mass at the Notre Dame Cathedral, which was just wonderful. The Catholic store across the road was lovely. I went for Mass the day before at a church further away, which is famous for its really gigantic Catholic store within its parish grounds. So well-stocked with so many stellar choices. Got lots of beautifully handmade Catholic items, for friends and myself. I left Vietnam a very happy, contented, grateful man.
