It’s in a great location, the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the concierge Hieu, he went out of his way to take me to a massage parlour under an umbrella as it was raining!

A little gem of a hotel in district 1, very conveniently located. Eleven floors with small number of rooms on each floor. Our room was quiet and had everything we needed. Breakfast is served in a small restaurant on the 11th floor; its the usual Asian buffet, & the Cook offered us fried/ scrambled eggs with bacon. Restaurant staff very friendly and customer focused. There is a small pool on same floor, great for a dip and wonderful views, space for a few chairs along the inside perimeter. All the staff at reception spoke perfect English and were very helpful with taxis/ directions. Also a great doorman who assisted with cases and took charge of our bags the day of departure, very secure. Small reception area with sofas & coffee available.

Our double bed was pushed against the inside wall, which wasn't ideal, but did allow for extra space in the room for our suitcases. This may just be the formation in this specific room - as we asked for a quiet room, back of the hotel away from street noise. Something to watch out for.

The 3 nights stay at Sky Gem was really good. The plus point is the location of the hotel which is very close to some of the prominent sites such as Opera House and City hall in District 1. The room was adequate and the bathroom and toilets were very compact, I loved the fact that they had fitted a Japanese toilet which made the whole process very clean. The buffet breakfast was perfect before long day trips and having breakfast in the restaurant in the top floor with panoramic views of the Saigon river was a perfect start for the day. There is also a swimming pool attached to the restaurant which looked promising but I didnt try it. Also full marks to the reception staff who were patient enough to accommodate a very very late check in due to flight delays. In summary, a perfect 3 night stay and am sure to book this property for a stay during next time visit.

The elevator is pretty slow and since there is only one elevator, it can lead to long waiting times which may not be a very pleasant experience especially when you are in a rush.

Good location within short walking distance of markets and eating places. Room very comfy and clean and staff helpful and friendly. Breky good with omelet's / eggs, toast, fruit and Vietnamese foods. 7 Eleven downstairs which was very handy.

Nothing bad about the hotel, but unfortunately we came during Lunar New Year which was a great vibe and lots going on but a lot of things were closed for a few days. Markets, most eating places and shops were closed. We should have checked that out before we chose our dates.

Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The location was great, the staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful and the vietnamese breakfasts were astonishingly good. I consistently had some of the best sleeps of my life here because the bed was so comfortable. The rooms were very nice and clean. The pool was beautiful and the views were lovely. Great experience!

We enjoyed everything! The only tiny thing that wasn't literally perfect (and this is really nitpicking) is that the steel pool ladder is a bit slippery. Probably fine for most people!

This hotel was our first for our travel in Vietnam and it was fantastic, and fantastic value! We had a 'front' room, looking out to the river. (Floor 5). A comfortable size, great bed and shower. Love the rooftop pool! Included breakfast had a good selection and always perfect delicious omelette made fresh. The staff, always friendly. The 7-11 shop literally right beside was handy for the snacks and cold drink stock up.

A friend and I, traveling from the US, stayed 4 days/5 nights in early March 2025. What a great location for all in-city sites and activities. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very good tasting and there is a wide selection to choose from. We both highly recommend.

Air con could have cooled the room a bit better especially at night.

Near the hotel there are many massage spas and after a long day of exploring the city, I relaxed at the nearby spa. They have massage services, hot stone therapy,... which helped me relieve stress, Restore energy and regain youthfulness. After the massage I went back to the hotel with my boyfriend, we had a wonderful night together, soaking in the bathtub in the room and enjoying ourselves a lot.

Loved the location, close to food, walking distance to shopping malls and Ben Thanh market. Staff were most helpful, friendly and spoke good English. Always greeted us with a smile. Hotel was clean and room size is spacious.

Nothing really that we didn’t like

The staff was very kind and attentive. They helped us order taxis because we hadn't been able to figure out how Grab works until our last day. The location is also nice, we had a nice view without it being too loud and bustling in the early morning.

There wasn't any handwashing soap, but it wasn't a big deal, there is a 7/11 next door.
