This was one of my biggest pleasant surprises in Asia in many years! Every year I travel to Asia - Malaysia, China, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and this hotel that I found on booking.com turned out to be a truly exceptional jewel! A lovely clean hotel with very helpful and efficient staff! Everything in the hotel is maintained and working. Quiet and pleasant. The service is wonderful, and the location is incredible - just minutes from the most important places in the city - the Opera House. There are many nice restaurants and cafes around the hotel. All major malls are a few minutes away. But the most important thing is that this hotel offers the unique service of being boutique and at a high level. Both rooms I stayed in are great clean, comfortable, pleasant and excellently organized. Every day the cleaning was excellent and the breakfast was rich and started from omelettes through European, American and Asian cuisines. With fantastic espresso which is hard to drink in Asia as espresso is not popular when made like in Italy. In this hotel, however, even that was superb! The staff was responsive, thanks to all of them and especially Mr. Trach at the reception desk for assistance. I have no words to describe my admiration for this precious find, which I recommend to everyone! I myself will visit this Saigon treasure again next year.

Really nice and cozy hotel in a great location! Excellent customer service from all the staff members! Small, but very cosy rooms with great bathroom! Small additions here & there, amazing artwork across the hotel, brunch in the afternoon - you can feel that you are being looked after. Great restaurant and bar on the roof. I can strongly recommend this hotel!

To be honest, the pool will let this place down. It is basic, and needs a new approach what you guys would like to achieve with it. I am not an expert, but I know you can find the way, even if your possibilities are limited by the size of the roof.

Great location so much within walking distance. Central Post Office, the Opera House, war Remnants Museum and much more. Two great convenience stores nearby and good pharmacy. Also a fantastic restaurant on the same street just turn left out of the hotel and it’s before the junction, called Gânh. Breakfast are hotel was superb so much choice and all well presented, coffee also very good. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful

The rooftop pool was a let down. It’s very small and just done with a liner. The ladder in is not easy. I have a bad hip so getting out was tricky. Bar area is also small so if there are a lot of people there it becomes unpleasant and not relaxing. We only used it once

The team at the hotel was extremely friendly and courteous. This concerned staff from all departments, be it the front desk, housekeeping, F&B or security and bellboys. The breakfast room space was somewhat limited, but it was always possible to find a table, and the room around the tables was spacious. The breakfast was great with many choices, both Asian and Western options. The pool is good for a dip. The rooms with internal windows are small, but comfortable and very clean. Housekeeping teams were very attentive. The location is great, very central and close to the Opera house. We have enjoyed the stay very much and would recommend the hotel.

The only thing we did not like is the slippery shower floor.

This was my third stay at the hotel. I'm still as satisfied as the first time. The service is wonderful, the staff are very professional caring and responsive. Only on the first night I had a problem with noise in the room and I wrote through the platform and in the morning my room was immediately changed to one that I myself wanted and that I had been in during my previous stay. The receptionist personally came to help me with my luggage and offered to make up for the slight inconvenience with a transfer from the hotel to the airport and a late check out. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the beds also have everything you need. I am sure that this hotel is the best in the area and located only meters and a few minutes walk from the opera house and all the most important sights of the central part of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to all the sights around, just minutes from the hotel, there are dozens of the most diverse and great restaurants and cafes where one can eat both local and western food or drink any coffee of choice. I recommend this hotel, which is truly a pearl in the heart of the city, to anyone who wants to reach the most important places of the city with just a few minutes' walk, to see both the sights and wonderful and comfortable restaurants, or just to go for a walk. The exceptional atmosphere that Vietnam provides with its pleasant smiling and friendly people with the wonderful food that is one of the best in the world and the great warm and pleasant weather is a prerequisite for a person to return again and again. I recommend anyone who will travel to Saigon to stay at this hotel because it will be in the best location for a very reasonable price, a beautiful room, a comfortable bed, an extremely rich breakfast, and of course a wonderful espresso, which is difficult to drink anywhere else in Asia.

Great staff, always smiling. Thanks to the housekeeping, I was there for 2 nights, they even left a handwritten note and very clean room. All the efforts by your staff. On the last day I forgot a small bottle of essential oil in my room, the house keeping staff found it gave it to me. It's these simple and honest gestures why I will definitely come back. Much appreciated. 👍🙏 Even the restaurant on 9th floor is really good... Also that have many nice restaurants as a café nearby also a massage place right next to the hotel is really good and open until 11pm.

Nothing... Everything was great

Really good breakfast selection, they even had pancakes Comfy bed and the A/C was really quiet. They offer complimentary Coke, which was a good surprise

We had an interior face window, we knew this before booking, but it is worth mentioning that it is no pleasant (the room is really dark so this might actually be a plus for some people)

We had to book this hotel last minute, as the original one we booked cancelled the day before we arrived. The hotel itself is lovely. It's modern, clean, in a great location that allowed us to walk everywhere and was easy for tours to pick us up from. The rooftop bar & pool facilities are great, a little smaller than I had imagined but we were still able to enjoy it. The included breakfast is brilliant, the best we had over our stay. The afternoon tea was also a nice touch. Our room was an 'internal window', as it was all that was left. The room and bathroom were beautifully clean, with free soft drink included every day. The internal window though doesn't offer any natural light (as expected). This meant we slept very well as the room was very dark, and then in the afternoon's when we wanted to relax we just went to the pool deck for natural light. The staff were lovely, attentive and helpful.

The price was quite high for what the room was itself. But this is probably due to the fact we had to book so last minute and it was over the holiday period. Booking in advance at this hotel and it would probably be better value.

This was my second time staying at La Opera Hotel Saigon, and once again, it was a fantastic experience! I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the hotel for taking such great care of my Miss Cosmo Australia delegate, who was competing in Miss Cosmo, as well as myself and the family who traveled for the event. Your hospitality truly made our trip special. The staff were incredibly welcoming, the rooms were impeccably clean, and the thoughtful touch of drink vouchers was greatly appreciated. Cool and modern hotel. Same with the rooms. Felt more maintained than many we’d stayed in. Nice roof top bar with a small pool that you could see the city lit up at night, after a humid day out. Lights for easy access. Mini bar as well. In a nice area where you felt safe and so much choice of shops & food! Close to attractions. Afternoon tea was a nice touch. Staff were really friendly & helpful. Had breakfast ready in early am ready for our morning flight. Would stay again for sure.

Rooms a tad small for what you pay for and in comparison to other hotels that you would get for cheaper.
