We stayed in one of the signature rooms from 18th December to 22nd December and booked our stay through Booking dot com. A very trustworthy booking website. Read a lot of reviews about the benefits of staying in a signature room and decided to book it and it was a great decision. Check in at the signature lounge was smooth. The room was exactly done up as per the pictures shown in the booking website. Housekeeping staff are doing a wonderful job and very pleased to see that everything was done well. Breakfast was amazing with good spread of food and the individual attention given by the below given staff were outstanding, Thanks to Le the chef who prepared delicious eggs for us. Evening cocktails and delicious food at the lounge was complimentary and we had the chance to try the alcoholic drinks. Full value for the money. A big thank you to Thy, Giang, Quynh, My, Oanh, Tram, Nhi, Kim, Huy, Thu, Hoang, Phuc, Dat (the entire staff who were at the service for the signature lounge guests) Concierge handled by Trinh and Nhung were kind enough to help us for the laundry and the taxi to airport. Had a try at the casino on the Roulette but no luck, One of the afternoon had lunch at the Cafe De Opera restaurant, special mention to Truc the hostess, she really took special care for the order. Overall, a memorable stay at hotel CARAVELLE and hopefully will be staying here again and will book the signature room to have the same experience.

Excellent position. Within walking distance of all the major sights. Right in the heart of all the action. Booked an Opera suite with Executive Lounge access. Absolutely stunning. 90m2 of pure luxury over three rooms: Living room, bedroom & magnificent bathroom with rain shower, bath, twin sinks & automatic (wash cleansing) toilet. Extremely comfortable Seeley Posturpedic bed. Cotton sheets. Pillow selection. Escorted to Executive Lounge on 9th floor for Executive check in, complete with complimentary drinks. Escorted to room after check in for full room briefing. Exceptional service. The Executive Lounge access allows you to take breakfast on the 9th floor rather than the main breakfast area on the ground floor which gets packed. It’s reserved solely for those with the same Executive access. A more quieter & comfortable experience. Excellent choice of food. Chef to cook eggs however you want them. At 17:30 Sunset Cocktails with complimentary food & drinks. We had no need for a separate evening meal. This is a truly exceptional hotel.

Everything! Exceptionally clean. Warm, friendly staff. Large room and comfortable bed, great food. We upgraded to the King signature room with lounge access and a view of the opera house (room 1711) and so glad we did. The view was amazing with a seating area to sit and watch the hustle and bustle from above. Facilities in the room were outstanding and the lounge access was worth every penny! Private check in and check out, sunset cocktails and canapés (more like an elegant buffet spread), along with the most loveliest of staff and great views of Saigon, the lounge was definitely an added bonus and exceeded our expectations. I also booked in for an aromatherapy massage which was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough… interesting to read of its history as a war hotel too. Also worth a night at the roof top bar Saigon Saigon, a good Latin band play there most nights.

Payment was taken 3 weeks in advance. A damage deposit of 2m dong was required on check-in I asked for a car to collect me from the airport but they only offered me a 1.7m Dong limousine. When I declined, they gave me no help with my transfer and left me to hire my own taxi at the airport. Our room smelled of damp Breakfast was expensive at $25 per head The breakfast room was far too small for the numbers of diners and on both occasions when we took breakfast there, we were given the worst table in the room. Staff have been over trained and don't have the personal touch we found in our other 3 hotel stays in Vietnam.

Fabulous Location and Excellent Staff. Everyone made us feel very welcome. We arrived after a long day and there was a guest appreciation party going on and a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. Very festive. They took our luggage up to our room and we joined in the fun and had dinner at the Opera Bar. Super good food. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were fantastic and very friendly. The maids made up the room on request. I can't say enough about the staff. Location: We had an Opera House View with views of the main square and other historical places. The area was kept very clean, and there were many activities outside the Opera House during our stay. An easy walk to many restaurants and scenic areas. Dong Khoi Street is now one way and it is much safer to cross the streets. And there are a few stop lights and cross walks that people actually pay attention to.

Only a few minor things that would definitely not deter my stay. The air con stayed at 21 C no matter what I tried. I could have asked the staff how to work it but it was always in the middle of the night or early morning when it was annoying. I'm sure that there is a work around this. The sheets kind of smelled old. Maybe it was the detergent they used because I know they were clean. Again, I could have asked, but I was only there for 3 nights and I was relaxing and not in a "complaining" mode. Everything was terrific. I would stay again.

The Caravelle is the best 5-star hotel in Saigon. The rooms are luxurious and well maintained by the house keeping staff. They even have a pillow menu so you can get the ultimate sleep. The restaurant is great, and the buffet breakfast is the best in town with an amazing selection of fruits, hot meals, eggs cooked to your liking, Pho and all the items you would expect from a hotel of this class. The staff were friendly and attended to your every whim. The sound proofing of the rooms was amazing. I highly recommend the Caravelle. As for the location you can't beat it. Walking distance to all the attractions.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

Everything! The hotel was located right across the Opera House, and walking distance to many of the tourist attractions. The rooms were newly renovated, the shower room was big and felt luxurious. The beds were too soft for our liking though. We had access to the Executive lounge and that was one of the best/highlights on our hotel stay. The lounge served breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails. The food and drinks selection were very good with a wide variety of dishes such that after cocktails, we would be too full to have dinner. Served real food for cocktails. Breakfast at the lounge was also very good because it was quiet and not crowded. The hotel also had a good gym, sauna and spa. I tried their spa and had a good massage. The staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Upon checking in, we were even escorted to our room by the person who checked us in. A first for me but I’ve read that high end luxury hotels do it this way.

The bed was on the softer side for me.

Breakfast buffet could be better and We had a horrible sleep for 3 nights because we were assigned to one of their connecting room, the noise from the next room were unbearable until 2-3am every night we were there. Only the last night we noticed the noise were came from that room as at first, we thought it was from the street. Front office manager tried his hardest to rectified the issue and kept apologising. Unfortunately there was nothing he could to made our stay better since it was our last night.

It was one of the best hotel whenever I booked. Location is excellent, in the heart of Saigon. The hotel is extravagant from outside, and even more inside. The staff is super helpful. The buffet restaurant offer is non plus ultra, with seafoods, traditional vietnamese foods etc. Reservation is advisable, because it's more than popular! The breakfast is extra rich. However there is a tapas bar as well if someone prefers the lighter foods, or simply wants to have tea or very good coffee. The hotel concierge is ready to prepare sightseeing tours or even farer excursion for instance to Chu Ci Tunnels or Mekong-delta. Even the airport transport is not cheap, but if somebody arrives to Saigon firts time, I guess this is a good solution.

Maybe the cushions should be less rigid.
