the pool on the roof had a great view of the river and the city, the rooms were nice, the bathroom too. The service was incredibly nice, the reception works 24 hours and there was permanent on site security, which was also very nice and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price.

for the price the room cost, it would have deserved a full rating in general, it was a great hotel for a great price and also in a great location, only compared to other hotels in Saigon and in general in Vietnam, the facilities are slightly outdated but of course at a completely different price than offers Huong sen. If you are not traveling for luxury and are looking for a pleasant hotel in the city center with a pool and friendly service, this is definitely the right choice!

First of all, the photos you see on booking are accurate and have not been photoshopped. We appreciated this after many experiences recently where photos have been altered. The room was very comfortable. Huge beds. It was super clean and everything was provided including tea and coffee, towels etc. Cleaning staff were excellent. Staff at reception also super helpful and friendly. The location was great as it was in a relatively quiet street in HCMC, near the river area. We had no noise at night, yet we were still close to all the main attractions. Walking distance from the opera house, cathedral and independence palace and a short grab ride away from others. This was exactly what I was looking for as traffic/noise can be bad in this city. This place was just perfect if you want to wake up refreshed -will be back!

Nothing -it really exceeded expectations.

18-21 April 2025: Huong Sen Annex hotel is a bit older but it has great things going for it: 1) great location 2) quiet 3) clean rooms 4) comfy bed with good linen 5) everything working like tv and ac 6) really efficient, helpful and polite staff 7) small pool on roof to cool off, also a small gym there too if you need a little work out. Last day I had an early check out to the airport, they insisted they pack me a breakfast which was all neat and in a bag with water etc (fruits, bread, pastry, butter, jam, egg , sausage / pate meat etc ... what a lovely gesture - thank you!

for the price, it was all good!

The facilities were as described. The pool is a great addition when needing to cool off. The bed was gigantic with the comfiest pillows ever encountered. We slept very well here. Basic toiletries are provided. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice. The staff were very polite. There is a water fountain in the reception foyer to refill water bottles. There was zero noise from outside. A very fair price for this hotel in this location. We would definitely stay again if in HCMC

The hotel is well situated by a busy city area where there are lots of restaurants and bars. It is close to sites of tourist interest and there is a buzz in the vicinity. The room and bathroom were fine. Breakfast is served on a high floor in a rather small area that could become full in busy times. There was a variety of choices at breakfast - we enjoyed the prepared omlets. The swimming pool has views towards the river. There are about half a dozen loungers by the pool so not a spacious area. We appreciated the central location of this hotel.

Great location, great value for money. They have filtered water fountain at reception so you can just refill your water bottle. Room is spacious and comfortable. The pool is small but deep and such a lovely respite from a day walking around! I also used the small improvised ‘exercise area’ (I would not call it a gym). But hey they have 3, 5 & 8kgs pair of dumbbells and it was perfect for a 35min full body workout! Breakfast is really good for such a budget hotel. I really enjoyed it and would stay there again.

Excellent value for money. Staff were brilliant.

Avoid room 303, it seems to have cigarette smoke being vented into it from elsewhere in the building.

The location is excellent with great restaurants around, shopping Ben Thanh market is 6 min stroll and it is quietly located away from the main drag

Little disappointed with breakfast this time the bacon was always dry and overcooked some other dishes seems to be overcooked. Great selection of fruit and staff were very helpful and friendly

The staff were excellent and friendly, with a good level of English, so communication was easy. The room was clean, and everything worked as it should, including the air-conditioning. The fridge kept our water ice cold perfect for a hot day in HCMC. The breakfast choices were varied and OK. The location was also very good, not too busy, however, within easy walking distance to the main tourist attractions within HCMC.

No complaints at all. Overall, it was a very good place. If anything were to be criticised, it would be that the rooftop pool water was a little murky.

The staff at the hotel were always friendly and helpful. The room was kept lovely and clean and the central location of the hotel in district 1 is great. Pool also really nice and usually I had all to myself.

Nothing not to like. Only gripe was that the restaurant was closed for renovation whilst I was staying there and it would have been good to have this convenience but I guess they have to renovate this at some point.
