The property is nice. It feels like a big guest house which was warm and cozy. The rooms have nice style. And the staff made the experience unique. They were so invested in our trip and making sure we had things to do and good places to go. They offer a hotel boat to bring you from the hotel to the financial center which is closer to stuff to do. The hotel is located in District 2 which is a quieter area mostly higher end residences. The salt water pool is beautiful and clean and large. We used it daily to relax during downtown. And the food at the hotel is really good. Better than most food we’ve had elsewhere in Vietnam. Breakfast was from a menu which is different from the buffets we’ve had most other spots.

Nothing really. Maybe it’s a bit far from the touristic stuff to do but it’s a few dollar taxi ride and it’s so peaceful to get away from the chaos.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful facilities and staff were very attentive. The food was exceptional. Everything we ate was delicious and not bother if you wanted room service. Staff were helpful and friendly and happy to organise anything for you. The boat was a major plus to get into the city with ease and for a lovely addition to the day!

Beds were not as comfortable as expected for a high quality hotel. Also the mosquitos were always in the bedroom and we got bitten a lot. This has not happened in any other hotels on our Vietnam tour. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was chosen from a large menu choice. Staff were very helpful. We were moved to a suite and the view over the river was lovely. The free speed boat transfer to the centre was fun.

Building site next door started early and continued till late. When we first arrived we were put in a room overlooking the building works but we asked to be moved and the staff did this straight away. It wasn’t an issue for us but be careful which room you book if the building is still happening

The photos of Villa Song do not do it any justice. It is a beautifully unique hotel with lovely grounds, spacious and well furnished rooms....and the pool area was a perfect place to rest from the heat. It was lovely sitting near the river for both breakfast and dinner. The staff were so helpful and always had a smile on their faces. (Vicky was so sweet and always happy to help with anything we requested) The shuttle boat to the city was a fabulous service....an added bonus to a wonderful hotel. We would definitely return to Villa Song.

Loved the heritage aspect, on the river away from the centre. Superb staff, particularly at the front desk. Lovely big, secluded pool and nice restaurant with tables on the river.

The main reason for choosing the hotel was the promise of a complimentary boat down the river to the centre ( lovely way to travel rather than the crazy traffic) unfortunately the boat captain had disappeared and the one trip he took me, which was delightful, he failed to pick me up again at the designated time! This seems to be an essential element that needs to be sorted.

Excellent restaurant - great menu, v good chef. Lovely friendly helpful people. Great riverside ambiance. Characterful property with a feeling of ‘old Saigon’ about it.

It is a bit too far out of the way of the main tourist centre in Saigon. There is no passenger lift and so it is completely unsuitable for travellers with mobility issues or lots of heavy cases!

Villa Song is a very special place located along the Mekong in a quiet and upscale neighborhood of Saigon. Wide choice of food, efficient and friendly staff that will do his best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Villa Song needs a little refreshing, the years have passed and left traces that taint a little my stay in a place that used to be magical 7 years ago.

Location was great especially away from the hustle and bustle of HCMC downtown. Very friendly helpful staff. Nice salt water swimming pool exceptionally clean - great for doing lengths. Lovely having breakfast alongside the river. Food well presented and tasty.

We chose to stay out of town at Villa Song on the river because of the expected ease of travel into the centre by the hotel speed boat which is offered as a facility when booking. We were disappointed to find it was not working doing our stay. Otherwise we liked the hotel a lot.

We had booked this hotel as it looked and was lovely, but also it stated that there was a boat suttel service to the town. The boat wasn't in service, as they were waiting on a licence, so we had to get taxis . Because of this reason the location of the hotel is just a bit too far from the main part of town, so that is why we gave a 9 out 10
