The accommodation is really beautiful, especially all the colourful plants in the pool area. The staff were lovely. Good amenities nearby including restaurant, shop and pharmacy.

It was roughly a 20 minute walk to the old town which we expected, but it’s worth noting that cars can’t go into most of old town most of the time so it’s hard to get taxis. Also, the walk into old town was a bit tricky as you often have to walk in the road! There was a lot of noise outside our room early morning (e.g. 6am one morning), often it was the staff talking loudly. Not ideal as we booked to stay outside the old town so it would be less noisy.

we loved staying here as it was outside of the madness of the old quarter of Hoi An, which can get so busy and noisy. the staff were amazing and the breakfast was delicious! they made everything to order each morning. it was a 15 min walk to the start of the old quarter and you can walk along the river or down the street. they had free to borrow bikes, which we used to collect some clothes we had made in town. it was so nice to relax by the pool, as it was very hot when we visited. they have such a gorgeous garden!!

just the water pressure was weak and the drain was a bit clogged, otherwise it was perfect and we would definitely stay again regardless.

This was the first place we stayed in Vietnam, and it set the bar high! It's set in a beautiful garden full of flowers and bonsai trees, just as lovely as in the pictures. The pool was gorgeous, although when we were there we avoided swimming in the heat of the day as it gets a lot of sun. The hotel have bikes which are free to borrow to cycle the short distance into the Old Town. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and air conditioned, nothing was too much trouble. I had a massage in the hotel spa which cost 300k (about £9) for 60 minutes, and was blissful. Breakfast as the hotel was huge and delicious for 100kpp. We would highly recommend the restaurant Nhan's Kitchen, a 1 minute walk away, which was delicious, friendly and reasonably priced- we ate there twice in our 3 night stay. We also enjoyed a day at Cua Dai beach, although be warned, the sun is strong! Transport and activities were easy to arrange and the hotel sent a car to pick us up from Da Nang airport. We loved our stay in this idyllic place.

Everyone at Betel Garden Villa was so lovely! I was staying for an extended time, and Betel became my home. The garden was well maintained, everything was always clean and tidy. Staff always helpful, gave advice, smiling and kind. The pool is beautiful, especially in the evening when the sun has gone down..it remained warm and you could enjoy the night sky before heading to bed! Each day two of the service workers at the villa helped me get my rental motorbike out of the busy parking bays at the villa, they were so attentive and smiling all the time, they kept the pool, gardens and driveway clean of debris among many other duties. Honestly I really appreciated everything the team did for me on my stay. The location is ideal for getting around the centre of Hoi An, great, and incredibly tasty meals to be had at local restaurants nearby (I recommend Peanuts and Rau Oi). Rooms were always refreshed each day, bathrooms were sleek and simple, everything from coat hangers and a fridge in your room, bed side tables (they even delivered me a new bedside lamp so I could read my book!) All in all it was a wonderful stay and if I ever make a trip to Hoi An again I know this is the exact place I would return to for a guaranteed comfortable, friendly stay. I travelled alone so a price for a double room which is all that is available is a lot more ~ I appreciate that I got extra space and double the morning coffee's so thank you!

Wow this was a beautiful villa, the gardens are just as beautiful as the photos show. They care and tend for them so much. The staff are all kind and friendly, they helped us with our bags, washing, getting the bikes for us and adjusting the seat and getting us a last minute airport transfer. Our room was clean and spacious, and tidied daily. While the villa isn’t super close to the ancient town, we road the bikes to the river edge and road along that road until we got to ancient town, locked our bikes up there and explored, otherwise grab bikes cost us like $15/19,000 VND so it’s super easy!

Vang and all the staff were amazingly helpful and always happy and genuinely interested to help you enjoy your stay. The gardens are next level amazing and it was so peaceful sitting anywhere in the garden and I loved all the bonsais around the pool. And the fishpond was beautiful so I would go out of my way to go and visit it everyday. Unlike most places in Vietnam there was no buffet breakfast -everything was always freshly prepared for you and we (Mum and I) loved the variety on the fruit plates which was always cut up fresh. The pool was so clean and always plentiful towels to use and I spent a lot of time just getting in and out. The rooms are all tiled and very spacious and so it didn't matter if you dripped some water on it. The beds were comfortable and even though the tiles in the bathroom are a mix and not necessarily matched, the bathroom was huge and spotlessly clean. Vang's husband Jimmy drove us from Hoi An to Hue via Marble Mountain and to the Buddha Lady at our request and a stop at Lang Co for some lunch and he was very informative as I was very interested in the life of Vietnamese people and his English was excellent so we had a wonderful trip with him. Although a little bit away from the Old Town it was only VND55,000 to catch a taxi into town and one night (despite the incredible 36 degree heat we had every day in our early August visit) we walked the 20 mins home and really enjoyed the variety of places we saw along the way. It was very convenient also to visit the beach from their location and had plenty of bicycles we could have used to get there but it was too hot for us to feel like cycling. I am very keen to visit again as it was so restful and I felt very refreshed at the end of our 4 night stay. We are from Australia and although we are used to heat, I would avoid August as it really was very hot and humid and would probably go in May, June or Sept, Oct. The atmosphere! Very beautiful and calming place where you can just walk around or sit and take in all the plants and the ponds. The breakfast area is perfectly placed behind glass in the center of the property. Excellent breakfast too. Great pool and perfekt relaxing environment after a day in Hoi An. The walk in to town takes quite a while but taxi is cheap and a good option for those who want to save their energy for other things. We were recommended a private cooking class (Dong Family Cooking and Tours-Tripadvisor) by the reception and that was one of the highlights of our trip. This hotel have my highest recommendations. Should I come back to Hoi An, I will stay here.

A great hotel within walking distance of the old town of Hoi An. It has a wonderful garden and a lovely swimming pool. I had a large and lovely room with a nice balcony outside. The staff are very nice and helpful, and they serve a good breakfast with many choices every morning, at a very reasonable price. They helped me with transportation to the airport. I highly recommend Betel Garden and would gladly use it again if I go to Hoi An.

Very nice room and the entire property was very beautiful. Everything was well maintained and looked after. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean.

I didn't like that our room was right in the middle of the courtyard and had big glass windows/doors. We would leave the curtains closed when we left for the day and come back to find the cleaner had opened them and all of our belongings were visible to anyone walking past. Breakfast wasn't included which we didn't realise, we would not have ate it if we knew we were paying extra for it as there was better food in the area for cheaper. That being said we still loved our stay here and would recommend this place to anyone else.

The most beautiful, peaceful place you could stay within the city. We stayed at a few places in Hoi an and this was by far the best. So much wildlife because of all the plants and flowers they have and look after so well. You can tell the family who run this place really care about the up keep and the guests staying here. Vang ( not sure if spelt correctly) was so helpful and gave us loads of info on the local area and helped us book a great cycling tour too! Thank you so much for a great stay.
