The hotel is very nice. A beautiful garden and swimming pool. Everything was fine a very polite staff as well. I really recommend that hotel which is closed to all attraction even they provide shuttle bus to/back beach for free.

When we were in Hoi An, we spent a few days at The Ancient House Resort, and we highly recommend it. The hotel is relatively small-scale and located just outside the hustle and bustle of the old town. The atmosphere of the hotel and the rooms is traditionally Vietnamese, but the comfort is modern. The hotel is full of character, with a beautifully landscaped garden and a lovely swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and feature a nice bathroom with both a bathtub and a shower. The breakfast buffet is very extensive. It's also convenient that you can borrow bicycles, making it easy to ride into the old town, to the rice fields, or to the beach. A big compliment to the staff—they are welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful. Especially Minh.

I stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The rooms are set in beautiful gardens. I had a balcony - if you have a terrace you might have less privacy as the doors open onto the communal areas. The room was lovely and spacious. The balcony was not huge and the chairs were not comfortable but the view was lovely. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of food. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I organised a cooking class through the hotel which I really enjoyed. Ming did a tour of the rice paper factory in the grounds which was very interesting. It is about a 15/20 min walk to the old town which I liked as it was bustling. The river is very close as well. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are always smiling and making sure that you have everything you need. Pool is great. Room is very large. Breakfast Buffet is awesome. Minh, the customer relations person is so helpful. My wife and I were sick for most of our stay and he made sure that we had food and support. The housekeeping staff would also make sure that our room and bedding were clean everyday even though some days we could not leave the room. They treated us like family. The location is great as it is a little way from the old town so it is nice and quiet. They have a shuttle that wil take you to town, it is only a 15-20 min walk, or to the beach. You WILL be empressed with the resort.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks must go to Minh who spoke to us every day to check we were happy with our stay and see if there was anything additional he could do. Rooms are clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast has lots of choice and is regularly topped up. The hotel is in a quiet location (apart from the cockerels) about a 20 minute walk from the old town. The hotel does offer a shuttle service but we preferred to walk. We took the shuttle bus to the beach one day. There are shops, bars and restaurants near the hotel but, seeing the lit lanterns and boats in the old town at night is not to be missed.

This was my fourth stay at Ancient House Resort and each time it has been exceptional! The resort is like a tropical oasis, it is close enough to the old town that you can walk there in about 15 minutes or alternatively take one of the hotels free bikes. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and very clean. The pool is lovely and you can pretty much find a shady place to hang out in it throughout the day - or have full sun if you like! The breakfast buffet is awesome, they have a great range of options with a chef who will make you eggs any way you have them! All the staff at Ancient House are so welcoming and friendly - they all make you feel incredibly welcome throughout your entire stay and cannot do enough to ensure you have all the things you need! I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

There was nothing I did not like.

Wonderful capable and helpful and friendly staff. Huge pool. Sumptuous breakfast buffet. Best tropical vegetation anywhere. Orchids. Fan palms. Luxuriant. Free shuttle bus to town and beach and back. Great 2 for 1 happy hour.

We loved this hotel, very clean and in the perfect location. Just outside the Old Town and a shuttle bus is provided many times a day , also to the beach which is close as well . The pool was big and ample sunbeds and poolside cocktails were lovely Friendly staff always on hand for any situation esp Minh who very was so helpful The breakfast was tasty and always fresh with a delightful setting overlooking the lush gardens . Our room was really big with a magnificent free standing bath. We would love to return here as it was everything we needed .

The pool area, the rooms with big beds, the bikes including child seats, the friendly staff and the shuttle bus to the beach and old town center (the location of the hotel is amazing to be used for both: sightseeing and beach)

I chose this property for its more traditional style, low rise, relaxed and tropical feel. The hotel rooms and gardens are beautifully maintained and cared for, there is no signs of aging or weathering , staff were constantly doing bits of work to upkeep the rooms, furniture,, walls, and beautiful gardens and they obviously take really good care of everything. Rooms were spacious enough, kept very clean , comfy beds and lovely bathrooms, air con great , always hot water . Staff all very friendly and attentive, ready waiting with a nice cool little towel when you come in from the hot day. . We used the hotel free shuttle bus to take us into town or to the beach and the hotels free bikes are always there ready to go. And it’s an easy ride into the old town . Also close to an area of rice fields to ride around . We were a family of 4 and the interconnecting rooms were perfect. We went a few times to lovely cafe/bakery 30m down the road for coffees etc and quite a few little local restaurants around if you dont want to go into the old town. Pool was enjoyed by all.

No problem for us but lots of stairs so not a good choice for those who can’t manage stairs easily. A small thing and not much to be done about this but the pool was very warm water and not as refreshing when it’s so hot.
