The hotel is situated a bit from the city center, meaning you can get a relaxing time from the busy streets and traffic. The staff were all super friendly and professional. Pool is perfect for relaxing a few hours or for taking a dip to cool off. Since the hotel was smaller it also gave the hotel a very personal touch. Good variety of breakfast!

Unfortunately the sound proofed rooms aren’t so sound proofed. We had a room near the elevators on the second floor and could hear everything that went pass, including the walkie talkies the staffs used on a very high volume. We used earplugs during our stay. Should be an easy fix to add a sound proofing list for the door. You could also hear the neighbors from time to time. We also had a very strange issue with the water tank in our bathroom that caused a very high dripping sound. This should also be fixed easily (the staff was informed during our stay and tried their best doing a quick fix but it didn’t really work).

Good rooms, friendly staff, nice pool and well kept garden, bicycles free to use and of good quality.

This hotel seems to be very popular for organised travel groups to stay the night. When these groups aren’t there, the hotel is very quiet and a good place to relax. However when these groups show up, they cause quite some disturbances in the common areas. Complaints to staff did not have any impact. We had this twice during our 4 night stay, think about groups of men communicating by shouting in the hallways at 5am, kids running down the halls throughout the night and ringing doors all over. We had to leave the outside/ pool area twice since there were groups of 20+ kids eating, shouting in the pool while their parents or hotel staff did not do anything.

The hotel is lovely and we loved the pool and it's surrounds. Everything worked as opposed to other hotels we stayed in where there was something wrong everytime. Breakfast was good and the room was spacious and modern. Staff were helpful and they can organise any trips for you. Next door is a laundry service that I would highly recommend, lovely family run business and so easy to use all done within the day for you. £1 a kilo of clothes to be washed and dried and then folded. Highly recommend this hotel.

We have just spent 8 nights here and absolutely loved it.It was modern and clean and had the most amazing pool,which we used a lot! What makes this place though is the staff.From the front desk/reception staff through to the dining room/bar staff(especially Trang)nothing was ever too much trouble and they were just all so lovely and friendly and wanted to help you.

If I had to pick one thing I didn’t like it was that they could improve the sound proofing of the rooms a bit.

Perfect, peaceful location for three weeks in Hoi An. By a quiet branch of the river, enclosed by trees, totally away from the noise of Hoi An Old town, yet only 25 minute lovely walk along the river. All the staff were friendly and helpful; they could not have been nicer and that goes for staff on front desk, Trung in the dining room and outdoor bar and housekeeping staff.

At first, they didn’t have towels out by the pool by 0800 when the pool was officially open, but that was corrected within a few days. Towels inside the rooms were a little old and sometimes raggedy BUT ok considering price of hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at shining riverside. It was our favourite place to stay throughout our whole trip. It was a little out of town, which we actually enjoyed. We loved jumping on a free rental bike and biking into the main part of town. It a really easy route when you’ve done it once. Being out of of the main centre made it really peaceful and quiet and felt like a resort. The pool area was amazing! And we loved to be able come back mid day for a cool off when it got too hot and then get ready to go again when it cooled down a bit. The room we had was huge compared to the others we stayed in which made it easy to open our suitcases and spread out a bit. The room was beautiful and clean and had a balcony looking over the pool. Free breakfast is a major bonus so we could just stroll downstairs, fuel up and then plan the day. The staff were amazing and really helpful! Bina at reception was incredibly helpful and felt left a friend, she would message me on WhatsApp advising me on things to do for the day, booking taxis, and checking how we slept. Was very cute! :) We used the gym, it was a bit basic… but we really didn’t have the energy or motivation to commit in the heat and after our big days so not a biggy. We loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone that wants a little oasis. ☀️🇻🇳

The hotel was stunning and lovely! From the rooms to outside! It was extremely clean. The staff are nice and kind as well. They are always going an extra mile to assist. Not to mention the breakfast, oh my!! They were very accommodating in terms of blending the western and Vietnamese(Asian) food. Their services is top tier!

A bit far from the old town (approx. 30min by foot). But okay if you don‘t mind walking. There‘s a beautiful promenade nearby with a lot of cafés and restaurants which leads directly to old town. You can also borrow bicycles. Soundproofing of doors and walls could be better.

Very nice hotel, a lot of facilities, the rooms are very nice and clean. We liked the bikes very much, because even though the hotel was a bit far from the town center we took the bikes everyday. Very good price-quality balance

Nice hotel in a quiet area with several eating options close by. The beds were the most comfortable we experienced in Vietnam so far and the pool was lovely. We enjoyed walking to Hoi An village each day. The hotel staff were all very friendly. They organised our airport transfers, day trip to Ba Na Hills and tickets to the Hoi An Memories show. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!
