This resort far exceeded our expectations on every level. The staff were always very friendly and attentive. Our room was fabulous, nothing better than seeing the ocean from an amazingly comfortable bed. The food was definitely a highlight, starting with the most extensive breakfast menu we have ever encountered. It was always beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. We had room service, which in a lot of hotels is usually luke warm, ours was hot and tasty. We had two dinners out by the waterside, both of which were outstanding. They also offer free kayaks, snorkelling equipment, bicycles, and helmets, a massive clean swimming pool with all sorts of floatation toys, etc. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future, and I will have no hesitation in recommending this resort to all of my friends and family. A must do for a tranquil relaxing holiday.

We went as a family with a four year old. The place was perfectly set up to enjoy the pool and the beach with a delicious in house restaurant. The pool came with pool toys available for anyone to use and there was plenty of seating around the pool. The rooms are a very generous size with bottles of water dropped to your door daily. We stayed for four nights and later in our trip around Vietnam we returned another four nights as we had such a good time. The staff are excellent especially Quan who our daughter adored and would run to give a hug every time we saw her in the restaurant. There is a bar onsite but we couldn't hear any of the music in our poolside room (127) which is on the other side of the property. Instead of using the inhouse laundry I contacted a local launderette via google maps (Laundry P Ganh Dau) that did a 24hr pick up and drop off, it was VND50,000 per kilo. It is near enough to the Bee Farm (free entry, wonderful coffee and fruit juices with honey as well as great products) if you wish to visit something on the island and about an hour from the airport.

It would have been great if there was something over the shallow end of the pool to shade from the sun so that the kids could play without as much sun exposure.

It is a quiet location, with a very nice beach and a good restaurant. The staff was very friendly and did their job very well. The room was clean and the cleaning ladies were very efficient. Free bicycles, free canoes, nice pool. Amazing breakfast. Our request to change the room to another location was accepted fast and without any problems.

It is a bit far from anything, yes you can walk to the village, but going back after dark is not most pleasant due to plenty of free running dogs. Getting a grab there is not so easy. Some rooms are refreshed, some not, try to ask for the newer ones. There is a lot of garbage everyday coming from the sea - it is cleaned up every time, but it is so sad to see :(

Absolutely perfect resort. The food was absolutely phenomenal and had so many different options that you could have something new for every single meal. The drinks were also very tasty and fun! The setting was out of this world and was the most peaceful resort I’ve ever been to. It was so fun to use the snorkel equipment and kayaks around the property! We saw so many beautiful fish and coral and spent many hours reading on the beach. It was absolutely perfect and I would have stayed for so much longer if I had the time! The staff was also so helpful and kind they really made the stay that much more enjoyable. This was a perfect spot for any age or sized group. The pool was also super nice for when it was a bit too windy to swim in the ocean.

This is the best looking/well-maintained hotel on this stretch of the beach/bay, more classy. We had such a relaxing time here. Not many restaurants in the nearby town so we ended up having dinner at the hotel every night. Food presentation is very good, must try the spicy grilled squid here! The breakfast is semi-buffet, you order your mains from a list they give you, you can have both Western and Vietnamese. Only 2 selections of breads but it is adequate for us and laid out on the buffet table including fruits, cereal, drinks and waffles. We loved the relaxed atmosphere esp their different types of lounge chairs by the beach with enough hammocks and swings.

The housekeeping could clean the floor a little better (I found a bit of blond hair on the floor which is def not mine) but this is very minor compared to what we got for what we paid for.

We had a FANTASTIC stay here! A pristine little beach with gorgeous calm seawater in front of you and a stunning tropical rainforest backdrop behind you. Plenty of relaxing sun loungers and hammocks in the sun and shade, and beautiful water walkways to appreciate the scenery from all angles. I'm not sure I've ever been to a more picturesque beach! The hotel itself is also wonderful. Huge, lovely rooms. Helpful staff. Delicious and very reasonably priced restaurant with a wonderful breakfast and happy hour in the evening on their excellent cocktails. The hotel also had free kayaks and bikes and a free boat tour to Starfish Beach when we were there (very cool, though it was upsetting how many tourists were killing the starfish by touching them and picking them up out of the water, just to take a photo... please don't do that if you go!) We did a lot of research before booking Gold Coast and we could not be happier with our choice... it's an awesome, secluded resort that is perfect for a few days enjoying amazing food, drinks, and relaxing beaches!

Nothing- it was perfect!

We are very glad to have stayed here for 5 nights!! It's a little far from the centre, a little isolated, which was good for our holiday purpose. The beach is in front where you can snorkel to see a variety of fish. The restaurant was fantastic, the best food we had in Phu quoc. Since we stayed more than 4 nights, we also received a free pick up service from the ferry port to the hotel (approximately 1 Jr drive). It wasn't far from the grand world, so we also managed to go out for a night to see the cultural show. Highly recommend.

The water in our bathroom tasted a little salty when blushing our teeth.

We arrived into Phu Quoc by ferry…took the excellent free bus up to Wonderworld…and wondered what planet we had arrived on! Venice in Vietnam and lots of monstrous resorts en route. So we were so pleased to arrive at Gold Coast…surely one of the best places to stay on Phu Quoc. Very laid back resort…in a lovely location 15 minutes walk from a lively fishing village. Help yourself to bikes and kayaks etc. Nice beech, great pool. Well priced beers etc. Wonderful staff.

Laid back certainly…and the service was sometimes a bit too laid back!! But work around it…eg order beers in an ice bucket…so you only have to order once!!

This was the most expensive of the 6 locations we stayed at on the island. Probably 40% up on similar locations but also 40% or more better. Great, quiet location and beach. Rooms were large, well equiped and modern. Pool was newish but a dated design. Food was pretty good and nice efficient staff

Being picky but green light flashing on the ceiling above bed was very annoying. We found it strange to walk across sand to sit in the outside restaurant areas Overall there is not much to dislike at this resort although for some reason we didnt feel the love. It is good value for money but the atmosphere was more holiday park than resort

A very quiet and serene resort for peacefulness and relaxation. Nice clean beach, but for the snorkeling there isn´t much to see. The breakfast is very good. We liked the "Happy Hour" Cocktail offer a lot.

It was a bit difficult to get a taxi to and back. Especially in the evenings. The pool was made from plastic, and our boys didn´t really like it. The water tasted very strange. Maybe they are using some other chemical to clean it than Chlorine? They should round the corners of the beds as soon as possible, so you don't get hurt. I got hurt pretty badly myself. A small thing like this can ruin one´s holiday totally!
