This was my second time staying. I feel very happy there - the breakfast is amazing (the pho and the Vietnamese coffee and yogurt), the staff are very kind, the hotel grounds are beautiful (all the moringa and jasmine). The yoga and meditation and wellness classes were very valuable to me. I appreciated the kindness of so many staff members - Khoi, Tuyet, Sam, Patrick, Ms Tu. There were many more. I was glad that you added more wellness classes - it's one of the reasons I returned and I found them very meaningful. I also loved the facial. Thank you for everything. I hope I can come back next year.

Fabulous old colonial building set in well kept gardens. Fabulous staff, so friendly and nicely attentive to your every needs. Food is out of this World. Chef Sin is exceptional….so so friendly and just a happy person.

Hotel Beach area could be better but there is a free daily shuttle bus to white sandy beaches on the east coast 20mins away.

We loved everything! Cute walkways to our room. Lovely yoga space, gym and spa. The food was amazing! We actually took a ride down to the JW Marriot to have dinner. Everyone of our four dinners at La Veranda were better than the seafood platter we had at the Marriot. The people here work so hard and are so kind. It was a pleasure to stay here.

While we were there it was VERY hot. Our air conditioner worked perfectly. It would have been nice if there was a bar or eating space that was air conditioned. Maybe it was difficult because we are not used to the heat… it was snowing at home.

La Veranda truly is a magical place. Sure, as is evident from the pictures, it is an incredibly beatiful place. The idyllic boutique hotel, with its tropical garden and exquisite buildings, overlooks a wide pristine beach where you'll have plenty of space to enjoy the ocean. The main building is gorgeously decorated and it will be impossible to resist having one of the hotel's signature drinks on the veranda overlooking the sun setting in the ocean. The rooms are gorgeous and impeccably cleaned. The food is absolutely amazing. The breakfast is spectacular and was the highlight of our day - the Vietnamese dishes offered at breakfast could compete with most of the dinners we had had during our stay in Vietnam, not to mention the pho. Mix that with a great offering of Western options - do not miss out on the Egg Benedict - and a wide variety of options, coupled with bottled fresh juice, resulted in the most enjoyable breakfast experience I've ever had. Be sure to try out the many great dishes offered at the garden restaurant (Le Jardin) and DO NOT miss out on the Vietnamese buffet offered once a week or so. And, not least, the food at the main restaurant (The Peppertree) will guarantee to blow you away. The complementary daily activities offered by the hotel were really enjoyable and provided a really nice complement and touch to our stay. We made sure to attend all of them - the afternoon tea, the cooking class, the rum tasting were all great. Do not miss out on those, nor the great spa! But what truly makes this place so special is the service. The kindess, attention and hospitality that the staff - all of the staff - at La Veranda shows you will draw you in and make you feel right at home. At the end of the stay, it felt like leaving a family.

Our stay at the property was so personalized from start to finish. The staff were wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The facilities were fantastic, with plenty of activities to keep guests entertained throughout the day, making every visit feel fresh and fun. One of my favorite spots was the private beach, which offered a peaceful and relaxing escape. The food and drinks were delicious, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The property overall is quite stunning, smaller but bespoke (so refreshing than the bigger chain hotels that all look and feel same). The spa experience was great and therapists are really good. I will stay here again if am in the island next step.

Beautiful building, lovely pool and very friendly and accommodating staff. Fun to be able to walk to the local shops and bars.

Bathrooms were a little basic but fine for the price. So loved the general feel of the hotel, I just wished the sea was a little clearer and it didn’t have such grotty next door neighbours. There was a VERY loud bar on one side and what looked like an abandoned nightclub on the other. It’s a beautiful hotel that belongs somewhere else, a real rose amongst thorns. If you’re sensitive about noise (I confess, I am, even hate music around a pool) this is not for you. Also not for young families - our teens are great with board games on rainy days but if you have younger or more active kids I’d suggest a bigger hotel. Great for pool lovers who aren’t fussed about the beach. And the breakfast on the wraparound first floor balcony is gorgeous.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean with a few minutes walk to the Main Street with bars and restaurants. Also very clean beach area and nice pool area. The standout is the staff, all very friendly and enthusiastic, everything we asked for was accommodated with a smile. The food and the cocktails in the restaurants were delicious.

The breakfast was very good with loads of Vietnamese foods, juices, fruit, cakes and egg, pancake, waffle and crepes station. $25 per person is a bit expensive though especially in Vietnam. Not an issue if included in the rate however.

From the welcome drink and service we received when we arrived to the farewell gift when we left, we have been in awe of La Veranda and cannot wait to return. All staff were outstanding and special mention to Guest Relations Manager Sam who was an absolute superstar and also to trainee Megan, Cara and Sunny who warmly greeted us every morning at breakfast. The hotel and grounds are beautiful with a stunning private beach. The rooms are traditional, well sized and cleaned immaculately every day, Staying at La Veranda really was the highlight of our trip to Phu Quoc. You are treated like family and not just a number like big chain resorts. The breakfast is both buffet with al a carte menu. All food is served fresh and well presented. It was truly faultless on all levels and all staff are an absolute credit to management. Thank you La veranda for making our holiday so memorable.

Everything was perfect!

We loved everything about this hotel. This has to have been the most beautiful and charming hotels we have ever stayed in. It was pure heaven. Every aspect about this hotel was perfect. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for you. The room we stayed in (Ocean View) was magnificent. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was immaculate and so well thought out. The spa was wonderful, the treatments worth every penny. The food delicious, the beach was a little piece of paradise. Every night we watched the sunset on the beach and WOW we will never forget those sunsets they were so perfect it didn’t feel real. The pool a perfect temperature and beautifully maintained. We loved our stay so much we didn’t leave it over the 4 days we were here and many people we spoke to were staying for 2 weeks and came every year from the UK and Europe. We would definitely like to return for longer some day. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay truly magical.
