The hot water was not working most days, it's solar and needs repair. The showerheads are not great either they need better shower heads.The breakfast menu could have better variety. They change the Asian foods but not the western food. Same everyday. Baked beans and mushrooms would be good addition. Boiled eggs were in hot water so continued to cook and were overcooked everyday. No power point in the bathroom.

Amazing location right on the beach. We had a beachfront villa overlooking the ocean which was incredible. Lovely palm trees line the shore and the beach is kept meticulously clean by the staff. Bed was comfy and all room facilities were fine (fridge and air con were cold, shower pressure good). Restaurants and shops are all a short walk away. Great value for money considering the location. Would stay here again.

We had a beach bungalow which was 20 steps away from the water so very nice. The bed was comfortable. The views were pretty fabulous. Lounge chairs outside at our bungalow made it more comfortable as could sit out there listening to music, watching the sunset and enjoying a beer or two. Beach bar close by in the beach. Close to restaurants and shops. Free green vin bus outside on the main road that takes you to North of Phu Quoc and South as far as the airport. Food was reasonable.

Make sure you cover the drains in the shower as the cockroaches are huge as we had a few every night in the bathroom. The air conditioner might need a service as did not work very well. Some staff were great others did not like to smile back at us when we smiled at them. We were not aware until we arrived that the pool was being renovated and we chose a non refundable room. It was only after we paid and received confirmation that bookings.com advised the pool was being renovated the day after. We saw a notice at reception when we arrived it was being renovated.

- Perfect location: central to everything and down a small road off from the main road, surrounded by trees which made it very quiet. Being on the beachfront which only hotel guests could use meant that it was quiet. The beach was well kept and nice. - We stayed in a deluxe double room in the main building which was quiet at night and the facilities were good. Nice air con, spacious and comfortable rooms, good size balcony, nice big bed with TV facing it. Large walk in shower. - Breakfast had a big selection of western and Asian cooked foods. This was based in the beachfront restaurant where you could sit inside or outside. - Staff we’re very friendly and helpful, and they even brought us a Santa cake to our room at Christmas which was a lovely touch.

We didn’t dislike anything!

The resort was amazing. The breakfast was very good also. Bike rental available for approx €5 a day and organised from reception. BBQ on the beach each night was amazing with music in the bar next door. The pool is large and always quite. Highly recommend.

Hotels Beach front is best on the long beach and whole grounds are lovely, good breakfast on terrace and beach bar for sunset ... been off staying around the island which was great but this was so good we've just booked another few nights here before we leave the island to chill before the hectic ho chi minh.

Nothing to moan about

1.The female young receptionist with glasses is very good at English and is very helpful 2. The breakfast is good with a great variety 3. The swimming pool is clean and suitable for children and adult 4. You can walk to the beach but it is wavy to swim 5. Busy street is just outside the hotel and you have a great choice of restaurant

The location is great and the hotel is good value for money, I regret that I initially booked Anka Hotel in waterfront Marina and decided to move to Sea Star Resort after one night horrible stay there.

This is one of the best stays I had in Vietnam. Most underrated hotel. Hotel location deserves 11 out of 10. 2 minutes walk to the beach if you are staying in the main building or just 1 minute if you stay in bungalow. Sun-beds are available on the beach. Very tasty breakfast. Staff are very polite and very helpful.

We stayed in a beach bungalow and it was truly paradise. Sitting on the terrace looking at the beach and the ocean just a few steps away was perfect, it is west facing too so the sunsets every night were beautiful! The bungalow itself was clean and had good facilities with a big bath in the room too. The pool area was nice but we never used it due to the beautiful hotel beach. The hotel beach area is private with sun beds for guests only, the ocean is clear and shallow - perfect for cooling off. Breakfast had everything you needed, eggs cooked to choice, fruit, pastries and other items. We have already said that when we return to Phu Quoc we will definitely be staying here again!

I’m not sure that the experience would be the same if you were staying in a standard room up near reception area.

Chose the hotel for the beach and it was delightful, clean and staff excelled throughout our 12 day stay- travelled North &South Vietnam for a month and well deserved rest and sunshine in Phu Quoc long beach- location for many restaurants and bars - but we spent several nights at the beach bar and food was first class - decided to upgrade to a beach villa for the last 5 days - everything was taken care of - we just transferred in the morning and had the best time listening to the sea every morning and evening a few steps from our veranda to the clean beach - well done to all staff - loved being with you 🤩
