The staff were very friendly and helpful. Deepak in housekeeping kept our room very clean and made wonderful towel designs for us. We felt so special. The old man moping around the elevator was also very friendly and welcoming. All the staff we interacted with were very nice, warm, and inviting. The design of the hotel lobby and lounge is very beautiful and captivating, I really liked it. Breakfast was also very nice, although I found that the chicken curry would go cold and was therefore not as enjoyable.

The rooms were not up to our liking, the furniture in the room was not the best quality and the carpet in the corridor could use some better cleaning as it had stains.

Perfectly situated, nicely designed and well integrated into the surroundings. We were very pleased that there were always enough loungers available for all guests.

We didn’t really care for the breakfast situation. While the breakfast was good and offered a huge variety of options, there were far too few tables and too many people. The place is very busy and you have to wait at the entrance. They should certainly use their other restaurant to serve breakfast as well. This would ease the pressure.

Was overcharged when checking out for food but when I showed receipts the bill was rectified.. Another person I met had the same issue. No other complaints

This was our second stay at Park Royal Penang, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations. As a family, we absolutely love this resort. In fact, we were so content and entertained at the hotel that we didn’t even feel the need to visit George Town during our trip. The resort’s landscaping is truly stunning, with beautifully maintained gardens, towering trees, and vibrant plants that create a peaceful and tropical atmosphere. Our children, aged 5 and 13, had the time of their lives. They spent hours in the pool every day, enjoying the water slides and participating in the fun, family-friendly activities organised by the hotel. The staff were exceptional—always greeting us with a smile and going out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued. The breakfast buffet was another highlight, offering a wide selection of delicious dishes that catered to all tastes. One of the major perks of this hotel is its fantastic location. It’s situated right along the strip with the bustling night market just steps away, which was a great bonus for evening strolls and local snacks. There’s also a currency exchange conveniently located just across the road. For those interested in water sports, you can book directly with the resort or explore a variety of options from vendors along the beach. Overall, I would rate Park Royal Penang a solid 10/10. We’re already looking forward to returning next year, inshallah. Having stayed at many hotels and resorts over the years, this one stands out as our top favorite. If you’re considering a trip to Penang, do yourself a favor and book this resort—you won’t regret it!

We enjoyed our luxurious stay at Parkroyal. The room was comfortable and clean. Having a private balcony to sit at was an added bonus but the social spaces such as the large receiving entrance foyer, the restaurants, bars and pool area were equally comfortable to relax in. The food and beverage range is extensive and amazing cocktails were available. The breakfast buffet was epic with so much choice but extremely busy. There are sufficient loungers amidst tropical plants in the pool areas and a very relaxing and therapeutic atmosphere despite the busy-ness. The private beach is clean and there are many accessible restaurants and shops all within walking distance outside the hotel. We accessed the hotel’s St Gregory spa where Lakshmi and her team made sure we received the relaxation we required. Would highly recommend PArkroyal for a relaxing trip to batu ferringhi.

Sometimes a large, too busy hotel can seem a little impersonal however the luxury, attention to detail and the the friendly bar and restaurant staff somewhat made up for this.

Fantastic family resort. The grounds were beautiful, the pools were great and the slide a big hit with our little ones. They really enjoyed their time in the Kids club with the scheduled arts and crafts activities each day. Spacial mention to Norliza who was so attentive and caring. We like that the hotel is on a slightly quieter stretch of the main road in comparison to the other bigger resorts yet it’s only a short walk to restaurants and the food court. The staff and their warm and caring nature is really what makes this place special though. From the security guards through to the chefs you’re always greeted with a smile. We had to see the in house doctor as our daughter was unwell and had a very positive experience with that. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Breakfasts were amazing with a huge variety (from my point of view it was rather as breakfast together with lunch as there were different sorts of meals available). Pool was great and looked like somewhere in the jungle. There were sunbeds always available and a lot of space in garden to enjoy it and relax. Great place to spend whole week, relax and walk on beach.

Unfortunately sea was not clear and not good / nice to swim in it. We knew it before we get is so it wasn't such a surprise for us and is definitely not something hotel is able to do with, but it may be disappointment for someone who expects clear water and would like to spend a lot of time in the sea.

We had such a wonderful stay at PARKROYAL Penang. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and cared for. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and accommodating. It really made a difference. The room and amenities were absolutely perfect. Everything was clean, stylish, and comfortable. The air conditioning in the rooms was strong, which was ideal for the hot and humid weather. A special mention to Ganesh, who greeted us every day with a warm smile and played ball with the kids while we waited for our Grab rides. Shah was also incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Even the security staff were so kind and made us feel safe and looked after. The breakfast buffet was amazing. There was so much variety and everything tasted great. The kids absolutely loved the splash zone, and we really appreciated the peaceful greenery at the back of the resort. Overall, our stay at PARKROYAL Penang was truly unforgettable. The resort had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, the facilities were spotless, and the atmosphere was perfect for both adults and kids. We left with beautiful memories and are already planning our next trip.

If I had to mention one downside, it would be the temperature of the pool water — with how hot the weather was, a cooler pool would have been even more refreshing.
