Convenient at-room parking, large comfortable room with full kitchen, close to many amenities, friendly staff, happy little birdies nesting above each entryway.

The serenade of trucks and traffic on US 26 just outside the room did get loud at times even with the room closed up, but wasn't too disruptive. One entrance to the parking lot is up a very steep hill which could be an issue with larger vehicles.

My first stay at this motel was in the early 70s with an aunt and uncle of mine from eugene and were hunting thunder eggs if I remember correctly. Eons later, my kids lived in madras and the motel became a good place for us to visit when my old studio was getting ready to be torn down. I saw the motel as a safe place to visit with my kids.

The room was simple and clean. Had fridge microwave, and a table with two chairs. The bed was comfortable although the pillows small. All I needed the room for was a nights sleep and for that it was great.

The office staff although friendly was rarely in the office. I tried to register at 2:30 pm and there was a note on the door be back a 3:00. (found that same note at 10 am the next day) Trying to avoid checking in at midnight I traveled back to the hotel (50 miles) at 5:00pm (peak checkin time) no body in the office. You need to call a number on the door or get lucky like me a happen to catch the attention of a helpful man. No tellin how you’d check in if cam in late. Thought there might be coffee in the lobby as it shows in the pictures but ……… easier to drive across the street to McDonald’s and grab grease filled breakfast. I must say the staff, once found, and very nice and helpful.

This is an "old school" motel just off a main highway in the Oregon mountains. There is no food option but there are facilities in the room to make coffee, and store food. There is also a table and chairs. There is a garage nearby which sells some basics.

There isn't much in the way of evening food outlets in the immediate vicinity - so stock up on route

Staff were extremely friendly. Whilst the room was basic it was all you would expect from a motel, it was exceptionally clean and comfortable.

We are used to sleeping with a window open for fresh air and sleeping under duvets or thick blankets. Additional blankets would be appreciated.

In my opinion, the juniper motel in madras, or was the best place to stay for the money I had to spend and I'd do it again. The rates were and are very reasonable and the room was very nice. The staff was and is outstanding. terry

Front desk woman was friendly and very professional. We enjoyed our stay. Room very clean and we would stay again. Newly remodeled it offered every comfort and a very comfortable king bed.

Very basic but just what I needed for a stop. The bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well without being noisy. Yes, it's tired and worn, but had everything I needed.

Lovely front desk staff, excellent location, clean, safe, quiet property. It is an older hotel - that should be clear from the pictures, but it's still a great value. I will provide some small suggestions below.

Suggestions - put a 2nd wastepaper basket in the bathroom, put a lamp on both nightstands, provide kleenex type tissues, provide earplugs due to noisy ac/heating unit. Consider changing older falling off curtains for some type of blind/shutters- this would look nicer and prevent the curtains from blowing all around as they do now over the AC/Heater vent.
