Breakfast was sufficient and made a good start to the day. Room was large and accommodating. Mini fridge and microwave were a nice addition. Bed was comfortable. Towels were fresh and crisp.

The aroma of the room was overpowering. Some sort of scent used to give the allure of clean was far too strong and caused weeping eyes and coughing. Had to open the window and run the fan constantly. Office chair in the room was worn to the threads on the back. What is the purposed of the wall thermostat when the controls are only usable from the HVAC unit itself? Less "scent" would have made the best improvement.

The staff was AMAZING! Very friendly, and the front desk lady was wonderful!! I wish I was better with names because I honestly forgot. She was very knowledgeable about the area and made us feel welcomed. The rooms were very clean. This is coming from a retired head housekeeper. The air filters were clean, with no miscellaneous hairs on the sheets, comforterer, bathroom floor, or toilet. No dust anywhere, no bugs, shower curtains didn't have stains, the mattress had a mattress cover, no bed bugs, and pillows had pillow covers, the fridge was clean. There wasn't 1 thing I could find wrong with our room. Housekeepers are the heartbeat of the hotel, and Comfort Inn at West Gate has an amazing team. I sure hope their housekeepers are compensated enough for their hard work and dedication. I don't mean by buying them lunch every now and then either. We will definitely be back during our next planned trip to Spartanburg. Thank you, Comfort Inn at West Gate!!

Mildred was so helpful and went over and above for me. I left my pillow there (we were headed to Hilton Head from Cincinnati). I have neck problems and this pillow is important, not because it has value but it is the only one that I can sleep on that doesn't throw my neck out of whack. She scouted around and found my pillow and called me the next day to let me know that she found it. She was very personable and helpful! I will be stopping back on my way through spartansburg to pick up my pillow in a couple of weeks and she is hanging onto it until then. Thanks so much to Mildred!!

Breakfast had biscuits and gravy, my favorite, I was excited to hear and then when I went to get some I was told she only brings out biscuits twice in the morning and I wasn’t there to get them- so yeah, I am really unhappy that I look for hotels with breakfast and ended up with a continental breakfast. My husband was at breakfast when they came out and he said they were gone as soon as she brought them out.

The hotel was expecting large groups that weekend and the breakfast service didn’t accommodate for that and didn’t seem to care.

Breakfast is hot, tastes good, good variety. Location of hotel is excellent. Just off the interstate, across the road from Westgate Mall, easy access to shopping and nice restaurants. Stayed here often throughout the years. Always a good choice.

Costs of rooms. Prices go up with each and every stay, not just here but everywhere!

The only thing I didn’t like about the property was the rude staff in the kitchen during breakfast hours that made a rude comment towards me instead of approaching me in a respectful manner Everything else was great all the other staff was helpful and amazing.

Finally! A hotel doing things right and affordable! Breakfast was amazing! Alot of variety for my ball player before her tournament! Hotel is super clean, beds were really comfy and staff was very friendly! Distance was only 16 minutes from Tyger River Park!

Elevator was broke so unfortunately, we heard doors that were beside elevator slamming shut all hours of the night (our room was right beside of elevator and stairway) and the pool was super small (8 people and it felt crowded) but it was clean!

It was run exceptionally well, with attention to detail. The breakfast was better than most that are included with stay. It didn't have that "worn around the edges" feel; it was very up-to-date and clean.

It couldn't be helped, really, but turning out of the place onto the busy road during rush hour was a bit harrowing.

I like pool and kitchen, always bring something else to eat when they saw that new clients come. Food was good enough and serving staff was nice.

After we arrived we waited 15 -20minutes when someone came to the front desk that we can check in, and they even didn’t say “sorry” for this inconvenience. He didn’t told us way we should go so we wandering around with a baby looking for our room, he didn’t seem polite and nice. And I didn’t understand their accent.

Good fresh fruit for breakfast. Choices for beverage.

Only one choice of meat at breakfast. 😞 I booked through another course and when I was checking in found out it could have been cheaper but your own website quoted n was higher. I won’t stay at your facilities anymore. We are older and this extra savings could have helped us.
