Was very happy with our one-night stay. A warm welcome with pleasant, helpful staff. The room was clean with comfortable bed and excellent air-con. Tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast, included in the price, was very good - full English, croissants, pancake machine made to order. We had evening meal with a fairly good menu. We had burger and curry, both meals very good. Would stay again.

The only negative is the quality of coffee, not good. A minor complaint, lots of children there (going to Alton Towers) They were playing in the entry section between two sets of automatic doors, making sure the doors stayed open, which let in a huge draught. The staff didn't tell them to stop so I had to ask them.

We booked for 2 adults and 2 children aged 7 & 3. Was given a room with a travel cot after been emailed saying we couldn't have one as there wouldn't be room. So brought our own in car. To get a family room with a double bed and travel cot in. We was expected to share a double bed between myself, hubby and my 7 year old who is over 9 stone. This was not do able. We pulled the sofa bed out and asked for a quilt and cushion and was accommodated after been told normally it's not allowed as we have a travel cot.

Toby greeted us and gave a warm welcome. Explained about the parking but we had already paid with through the QR code from the car park signs. Don’t make this mistake paid £10 and inside they give you a discount code so you only pay £6. Toby Explained about taking a payment on arrival. Explained clearly where our room was snd advised about complementary free breakfast was served at 7am. Wished us a pleasant stay.

Husband had a grip that they didn’t have tinned tomato’s for breakfast only grilled/ cooked whole tomato’s. Apart from that everything was perfect.

Clean hotel, well run and staff are great. Good choice of breakfast too.

Room was cold, Windows’s are old so letting lots of cold air into the room and the heater isn’t powerful enough to counter it. I did ask for someone to check the heater which they did and it worked better but maybe that was due to the weather being warmer outside. It was minus outside when I first arrived. Holiday inn need to invest in replacing the windows. And car park can be noisy at night so if you are to stay get a room stay over the other side, again the windows don’t help with blocking out noise.

The Holiday Inn was easy to find by following the stadium signs and was conveniently located next to a Harvester pub. The receptionist was very polite and helpful and the room was up to the usual high standard. Clean, well equipped with a large comfortable bed and hard and soft pillows. We appreciated the Dove toiletries and the tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was a mix of hot and cold buffet options with helpful staff on hand.

Paying for the car park is irritating but you do at least get a discount code from Holiday Inn making it £6 per night.

Easy to get to. Very friendly staff. Room was clean & tidy. I had a nice peaceful night's sleep even though the place was busy. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. My son's pre surgery diet of milk & yogurt was provided on request. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff, even though our stay was only overnight they made it a great experience. If I need to stay in that area again I'll have no hesitation in returning again. Well done Holiday Inn.

Trickle vent on window. Made the room too cool near the window. It was about 4 degrees outside Building design - nothing can be done about it. Not a criticism more of a passing comment.

The staff were excellent and the hotel was spotless. Breakfast was very good and all the items were well stocked. The staff were also on the ball so everything like the rest of the hotel was very clean. No complaints.

For me the bed was too firm which meant the first nights stay wasn't great but I either got used to it was too tired to stay awake. Either way it was fine after day 1. My only real grip is parking. I don't believe that parking should charged in addition to the room cost. It means more receipts and expenses. One invoice for everything would be easier.

Bed was exceptionally comfortable (I have chronic back pain so I am an expert on bed comfort!!😀) Breakfast was also excellent so much choice and (although I had a weekend off from my diet) I loved that the calories were shown on most items Staff ensured that all our family staying in the hotel (10 in total) had breakfast tables next to each other despite the restaurant being really busy which was really appreciated

The lighting in the room could have been better. We were attending our son’s wedding so wanted to look our best doing hair and make up (mine, not the hubby!!) but a minor point

Great breakfast selection, plenty of choice and staff were always available to refill empty trays and offer help. The bed in our room was very comfortable and I had one of the best night's sleep. Lots of parking space and the staff gave us a code so the parking only cost £5 and they had a machine in the building so we didn't have to go back to our car to put a ticket in the window!

There was a spot of rust in the shower which wasn't a big deal but the rest of the bathroom was very clean and it stood out! Other than that we have absolutely no complaints, for the price we paid I don't think you can get any better!

The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. Staff were very helpful, approachable and kind. We arrived at around 6pm (check in was from 3pm) there is a touchscreen terminal as you enter to pay, and the reception desk was just to the left, the man manning the desk gave us a parking discount code without having to be asked, and offered to help us with the parking transaction. Parking was £5.00 with the discount code. The rooms, we had one family room (double bed and sofa bed) and a twin room. Rooms were a decent size for a holiday in express, my stepdaughter slept on the sofa bed and said it was really comfy, and my step son and partner took the twin room, both said it was the best nights sleep they'd ever had! We would of liked extra pillows, but we didnt ask so I wouldn't rate them down for that. There is an ironing board, Iron and Hair dryer in the room. And theres Hand wash, Shampoo and Body wash in the bathroom (all Dove brand which I thought was lovely) We had food at the hotel, which was very nice and prices are reasonable, I thought. There is also a Harvester next door and Stoke Football stadium is across the road. There was an issue with the Fire Alarm, it kept going off randomly while we were eating our dinner, the man at reception/bar was assuring when telling us there was no fire, and after he had reported the alarm he approached us at the table to tell us it had been reported and to apologies for the inconvenience. We had three girls who loved stitch, and the girl manning the bar was eager to get them Stitch halloween pictures to colour when asked if they had any paper for our girls to draw on. We stayed here as we were visiting Alton towers, its roughly 20-28 minutes away from the park, but very easy to get too. We would definitely stay here again.
