Great Hotel for exploring Shkoder and the area round about. We parked our hired car at the hotel's private parking and the centre of Shkoder is a short walk away. Our large 2nd floor room had access to a balcony so we were able to eat outside and enjoy watching the sunset. Breakfast was buffet style and were able to get a teapot for our English Breakfast tea.

The hotel only provided evening meal for tour groups but we were happy to eat out or bring food back to eat on the balcony outside our window.

The receptionist at the check-in was friendly and helpful by providing us tips where we can enjoy a traditional meal. Hotel also offered parking for us and has also kindly kept our car while we headed for a trekk in the alps. This was very helpful to us as it put our mind at ease. We also needed to leave early for the bus to the north, and the hotel also kindly arranged for a light breakfast to take with us given that the breakfast served at the hotel would start later. Location of the hotel is also close to all the shops so it was convenient. Would highly recommend!

Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Really nice shower and bathroom. Fridge, a/c, and bathroom fan all worked perfectly. The hotel staff was very friendly and helped us out with transportation and other advice. The breakfast was really nice, and we got a packed breakfast the day we had to leave extremely early. Good location too, easy walk to the main shopping, dining, and transportation areas. Yet in a very quiet neighborhood.

Great location, on a quiet side street but close to a Spar shop, a short walk from the main bus and taxi stops in Shkoder and near to some lovely streets with restaurants and bars. Helpful staff. We were able to get a packed breakfast the day we left early to go to the mountains and to leave our main luggage at the hotel until we returned.

Our daughters' room was at the end of the corridor and in the corner, which made it a little smaller than our room.

Excellent service. I really felt cared for and so at home. I stayed at Rose Garden on 3 occasions and I'd go back. Room was comfy with a small fridge. Included breakfast was delicious and generous. I could park on site and the location was peaceful and convenient, within easy walking distance of the pedestrian street and many restaurants. The staff helped me get organised when I was running late and totally sleep deprived (my own doing due to last minute planning...bed was comfy!), so I made it to the airport for my flight.

Great location close to walking malls, restaurants and bars. Staff so helpful, booked our trip to Valbone and return journey from Theth, stored our bags, pick up was from the hotel so all super easy thanks to the staff there. Hôtel breakfast was good and the rooms adequate. We found Stesi Travel and Tours a short walk from the hotel were also super helpful for planning the rest of our trip in Albania, highly recommended!

We stayed two nights, one before and one after our trip to Valbone and Theth. We could park our car safely in the courtyard for a few days. We got a take away breakfast as we left early (sandwich, fruit and small bottle of water) and we had one breakfast there, buffet was quite good and it was nice to sit in the yard (If you want coffee instead of tea, just ask the staff). The staff was very friendly. The rooms were fine and clean, the family room we had on the second night was more comfortable as the normal double room was very compact. The place has a bit of old fashioned flair. Location is very good, close to city center but without any noise.

Beds were not very comfy. A bit more attention to details would make the place better (curtains were a bit broken, no spare roll of toilet paper when existing one was already almost used up when entering the room, some dust here and there,...)

The hotel was better than I expected. We were able to park and leave our car while we were on a day trip after checking out. The girl on reception was extremely helpful and gave us a map highlighting local things we were looking for. It's very close to the main pedestrian street which is full of restaurants, bars and shops, etc. Breakfast was nice. We only stayed one night to use as a base for Shala River tour but wish we'd stayed another night or two.

The staff here is very competent, friendly, and welcoming. There is free parking on-site in a secure area right next to the hotel. My wife and I stayed in Room 11 right next to reception. The room was quiet and spacious, but could have used a couple of soft chairs. The breakfast was good and typical for Albania. The location is excellent for tourists wishing to visit the mosque, cathedral,pedestrian zone and old town. There is a SPAR market close by and many bars and restaurants.

The rose garden area is pretty, but could use some attention. If you have heavy luggage, be aware there isn’t an elevator and you’ll need to climb stairs (not an issue for us).

What is there not to like? This small hotel/guest house in a wonderful rose garden is close to everything, restaurants, shops, museum, the pedestrian street . In a quiet area with the Catolic Chathedral as nearest neighbour, the bells may disturbe someone now and then, but consider it part of Skhodra's charm. The staff was very charming and smiling and went out of their way to help and give advices. Spacious room, very clean, wonderful bed, though the bathroom was arranged a bit strange,but that's really no problem at all. In all; I love this place and will choose it again any time.

Too bad their restaurant was closed.
