Hotel Sierra Nevada is a stylish and well-maintained hotel with a long tradition. It offers plenty of comfort, with a spacious bathroom and a matching room featuring a small sitting area. Its location is ideal for walking to El Calafate's main street or the immense Lago Argentino. Across the street are small shops and a large supermarket for any supplies you might need when preparing a day trip. All of the staff are friendly and happy to provide additional information or help to book excursions in the surrounding area. In the morning, you can enjoy a generous breakfast buffet, including fresh fruit. Hotel Sierra Nevada also has a restaurant that offers several delicious dishes. It's a pleasant place for a peaceful stay, with several cozy corners in the spacious lobby. Highly recommended!

The hotel is within walking distance of the center of El Calafate and is a great value. It is an attractive property, with rustic and comfortable common areas (we especially liked the aviation-oriented memorabilia displayed in the lounge), off street parking, nice outdoor areas, and a small gym. The hotel is well-maintained and staff very helpful. The room, bed, and bathroom were all fine. A room safe was provided.

Breakfast buffet was pretty basic. Room amenities did not include coffee/tea, although an electric coffee kettle was provided (we bought instant coffee at the market nearby). Balconies did not include any furniture, although we could take chairs from inside the room.

This was a nice spacious, bright modern hotel not too far from the town center and with some very good restaurants around it. Our room was a good size with a nice bathroom and shower and the bed was comfy although the pillows were rather flat and firm for my liking. The big windows in the room and the balcony had a lovely view of the lake and mountains. It had lovely gardens too. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and spoke very good English. Breakfast was good with a fair choice of foods. The hotel was a little expensive I thought, but El Calafate is very touristy and so prices seemed generally quite high.

The hotel backs onto a main road which was a little noisy at night but I still slept pretty well.

Sierra Nevada property offers reasonably priced rooms that could be considered above the average in terms of quality. The property is a real hotel compared to many other properties in the area and is conveniently located on the edge of the most interesting segment of El Calafate town. It also offers quite a convenient parking lot for those having a rental car during their stay in the area. The rooms are very well maintained and the beds are of large size, allowing a good night rest.

The hotel is well located in the main avenue but a few blocks away from downtown activity, so it was quiet. Very close to the lagoon for very nice evening walks. Breakfast was a plus and started 6am, so it let us be ready for all our activities which started early. Staff friendly and willing to help with advice on what to do in the surroundings.

We stayed only for two nights, but didn't use much of the hotel other than sleep and breakfast, as all the activities are outside, so I didn't find anything in the hotel that I did not like.

The rooms were very clean and serviced daily, which was a big plus. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful – we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel restaurant was truly worth the price, tasty food at reasonable rates. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive our room an hour earlier than the scheduled check-in time.

The only small improvement would be in the gym – the machines could use a bit of refreshing and some repairs to fully enjoy the facility

Hotel has great staff, always willing to help and recommend good optipms for tours, they helped us booking our tours, served a good breakfast and had great location, walking distance from stores and restaurants. My rate in facilities is because the toilet had an issue and was not repaired during our stay, other than that very confortable and nice.

Maintainance did not fix the toilet issue

The hotel was incredibly clean, bed was super comfy, room was large and nice view. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Located just on the edge of town which was ideal with easy access to the lake front.

Minor note that there is little sound proofing in those types of building. Not much that can be helped and generally guests were respectful but you can hear people coming and going a bit.

The room were spacious and the beds were very comfortable, perfect for after a long day of walking. The location of the hotel was very good because is on the main street. Also, they have a good breakfast.

Could have more sockets or in more convenient places, they were either height near the ceiling or covered with furniture. They could also add a wider food selection in the breakfast menu (more sweets, fruits)
