We spent a quick night at this hostel and were totally blown away by the incredible views from up on the hill!! Sure its pretty basic accommodation but what really impressed us was how our room had these amazing panoramic views of El Calafate - definitely makes the climb up worth it! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and we were surprised by how clean and spacious our room was considering the price point. Yeah theres nothing fancy here but honestly when your waking up to those views who needs luxury? Whether your looking to save some money or just want the best views in town, this place delivers exactly what you need.

South B&B was so bright and cheerful. Comfortable beds. Every room, as well as the cozy, plant-filled common area, had a stunning view over El Calafate and Lago Argentina. Desk staff were lovely and helpful. Take their restaurant recommendations seriously; we visited two of their recommendations, and both were top-notch and well-priced. Bright, glass-walled breakfast room. Just a short walk into the centre of town. Great value compared to the high-end hotel down the street (where we also stayed, as part of a tour). We wish we could have stayed here longer than one night. Highly recommended.

They help me called a taxi to the airport and said it was 30000 ARS,but the driver asked me for 33000ARS and plus tips too,I was feel had been blackmailed by the driver, or did the hotel not communicate with the driver? Anyway, the last time to leave calafate feels terrible.😢

The online communication with this object is really good. They organised a pick up from the airport which was really helpful. The receptionists are really helpful and informative. The rooms are simple. The lunch packet they put together for trips is really nice. The location on the top of the hill is really nice, 10 min walk to the main street.

The breakfast is just ok: you get ONE scrambled egg and some toast, too many sweet options, and one small glass of juice, no water or juice to refill. There was no hot water in the shower at some times.

Helpful staff, comfy room, nice lounge area for working in between daytrips. Amazing view from window with fresh mountain lake breeze.

A little bit far to walk to town centre when you're tired from all the day trip hiking. We ended up taking taxis for about $3-5 to and from main strip of restaurants etc.

Check in guy had an upper respiratory infection (it was obvious and he told me!). In current circumstances he should have been wearing a mask. The street dogs in this town are NOT good. There is NO REASON to allow large dogs to wander freely, snarl at each other and follow people around - it creates a bad feeling and if I had young children I would leave immediately. First time I have ever seen this; whatever reason for it, they should be locked up.

The staff was extremely helpful and aided us in tour tips and other things. Laundry service was provided for a fee. The room was relative large, and clean and fresh. It had a great view over El Calafate. Other reviews have mentioned that it is far from the city center, but it really is not.

What a nice hotel! Loved the view from our room. The parking is in front of the hotel and the restaurants/shops are all within walking distance. The breakfast was also really nice.

Beautiful view, great breakfast, upper friendly hosts. The hotel is a bit away from the downtown area, 10 minutes walking, not bad exercise;).
