I stayed in the spa suite. I really enjoyed the comfort of the room and the facilities offered. The staff were also very lovely.

The bathroom in my suite could have been cleaned slightly better before I arrived. Mostly talking about the metal such as tap handles, shower head etc. did not impact my stay but was slightly noticed. I also found toe nail clippings on the floor as soon as I arrived. Cleanliness might be an area to be focused on. This is more of a personal complaint due to the room I picked and not at all the fault of the hotel. As I stayed for a week in the spa suite it was very difficult only existing with a coffee machine, kettle and mini fridge. It would have been amazing if there was a plate and bowl in the cupboards for me to eat off but I also understand this room is intended for a short stay. Again none of these “complaints” affected my stay and I would still recommend Ramada to others.

Loved the pyramidal layout. Feels fresh and alive. River aspect is sensational.

On Level 3 adjoining suites Share a common entrance where there is a small laundry and then separate entrances to respective suites. Very vulnerable space behind the first entrance. To add to this security flaw you have a large wrap around common balcony facing East with no dividers and an outdated unsecured security sliding screen door. So on a balmy night you have to secure the main glass door and be contained in your Air Conditioned space or risk it with the security grill that a teenager (in Townsville) could access through seamlessly. Same when you go out for the day if there was a Crim Safe door I would be completely relaxed about leaving my suite open with just the Screen Door secured.

Location is good near to our walk to Shawls Bay and lighthouse. Nearby CBD and easily for shopping and get stuffs for bfast, lunch, dinner. We stay in suite room therefore room is bigger and spacious. Amenities in the room and kitchen are also very good.

The bed is too soft and bouncy. We did not get goodnight sleep. The bed could have been a bit hard. When taking shower the water level on the floor tends to go up from the shower, therefore I hve to off the shower tap first to allowed water to flow in the drain then i on the shower again. A bit inconvenient there. Don't like laundry share with room next door. Don't like the door when closing is so loud and disturb other guest next door.

The balcony was great with the view over the river. Having a spa and being able to open the shutters so you could see outside was a bit cool too. Location was great, we could walk everywhere easily.

Being woken at just after 5am by someone's spa, not an issue with the hotel itself obviously but still irritating. Hair in the bathroom and shower walls had not been wiped, white soap residue on dark tiles Isn't a good look which was a shame. No exhaust fan would be the other thing, shutters for the wall made for unpleasant odours in the bedroom area at times if you get my drift.

Great location on the river, 150 meters to Woolworths plus bakery and choice of multiple restaurants with 2 minutes walk, undercover parking which is wonderful in summer. Large 1 bedroom suite included huge outdoor patio overlooking the river (see photo). River walk which is right outside your door goes all the way to the beach 3ks away which was a great way to start the day and public 50m pool is on the river 2 minutes walk.

Motion activated fans in bathroom take ages to turn off and aren’t effective if you’re showering as they don’t pick you up through the shower screen - having said that it was a great shower with heaps of water pressure and no stingy water saver head.

Love this place. We love the spa that's practically in the room,it's actually in the bathroom and divided by shutters that you can fully open and pretty much makes it the Center of the room and you can watch TV from the spa. You can cast whatever's on your phone to the really cool Samsung TV. Parking downstairs has two levels and you can always find a park. The place has a pretty good view of the river and a little Marina and part of town. Whenever we go we happen to get it at a really good price under $300 which we think is pretty good. Ballina is a really nice town and the Ramada is very close to the Town Centre and a couple hundred metres away from the RSL which is a great place for lunch or dinner. We'll be back.

Liked the spot beside the river and the interior fittings with the restaurant as part of the complex. Found the facilities easy to negotiate and enjoy. Ballina is a good central place to visit Byron Bay, Lennox Head etc.

We found the staff disorganised at the restaurant and had to wait over 20 minutes for 2 cold drinks on the 3 separate occasions. Young staff seemed to spend more time chatting amongst themselves than delivering orders. However, we did find the restaurant itself very comfortable. Another difficult feature, was there were no prices on the dinner courses.

We were very happy with the location, the view, and the spa bath. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset, though partially. Or just sit and watch the boats and the pelicans while having a cup of tea. The hotel is in a very good location and we enjoyed walking along the boardwalk by the river.

The room was nice, but there was not much space between the bed and the desk. Though it was convenient to have a washing machine and a dryer, it was shared with another room.

Lovely large apartment with a comfy bed which was huge - bathroom fantastic/ shower was massive & the water was hot with fantastic pressure. Loved the heated pool especially after a long drive. Had a lovely dinner & breakfast at the restaurant. Fantastic location on the river within walking distance to the lovely RSL & the shops. Stayed here a few times. We loved it.

Perhaps the choice of a different menu rather than a set menu.

I like the separate bedroom layout. I particularly liked the corner view room we had in the first of our two visits.

Everything was great. The second time we stayed there a protracted rainstorm came on, and our room was quite a way from the lift requiring walking through an open air passage way. It was often wet from the rain. Also, I went downstairs hoping to get lunch and witnessed the doors to the restaurant being closed. Had I known they closed for the afternoon I would have gonedown earlier.
