Rooms were comfortable, more importantly they were clean. The rooms were well insulated and stayed warm with the AC set at 21'C. The mattress was just the right firmness to relax on after a day of Skiing in the mountains. The layout of the room was practical with an ensuite and a kitchen dividing the 2 rooms. Our family was arriving early, we called ahead of time with the receptionist, she was very helpful and allowed us to check-in early and unload some of our luggage before heading to the snows. The cleaner was understanding even though we interrupted her cleaning of the room for our early arrival.

I stayed at Room 15, some of the other rooms must've had arrived with more than 1 car. They took up spots outside our room. Would be good if the car spots are marked with the room number and rooms with additional cars needs to park elsewhere. This will help with loading/unloading the car as the area right outside the room is no parking. Our friends in Rm16 said their neighbouring Rn17 was playing music late into the morning. The common area had strict no alcohol policy, it would be nice to just have a few responsible drinks to unwind after a day of skiing as there are limited options in Cooma. We didn't want to drink outside our rooms in case we disturb the other guests.

I had a fantastic stay here. The location is ideal—just a short walk or drive to the town centre. The accommodation was freshly renovated, spotless, and incredibly spacious. The main area had a comfortable queen bed, and there was a separate bedroom with bunk beds (double on the bottom, single on top), perfect for families or groups. When you first walk in, there’s a small courtyard area that serves as a social and cooking space, complete with a BBQ—great for relaxing or enjoying a meal outside. The amenities were a standout: a large double shower, a deep bath overlooking the town, and a big TV with streaming services. Wifi was also available (I didn’t realise until after, but it’s there!). The host was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cooma!

Everything was so clean and new that I thought I could have been the first person to use it! The shower was a standout with excellent pressure and both a hand held fully adjustable spray head and a large overhead fixed shower head - the best of both worlds! The kingsize bed was both large and comfortable and the appliances were extremely comprehensive including an iron and ironing board, hair dryer and kitchen appliances. Undercover parking for car in front of unit.

The Motel appears to be going through an ongoing rebuild and restoration process which will ultimately benefit all customers. The onsite restaurant was not open but there better excellent alternatives a short drive away,

Lovely location with great views. The room was very warm and comfortable considering it was -1 at night. Bed was huge and very comfortable and warm. Bathroom was a good size and well designed. Shower head large and the lovely hot water was big plus ✅ All facilities needed were provided. Very modern, new built and CLEAN. Easy access to Main Street in town.

Room very small for a King size bed, so awkward to move about when accessing kitchenette. No bedside table provided on left hand side of bed. The TV was ridiculously BIG for the space we were in.

This is my fourth stay at Cooma High Country Motel. It's a great place to stop at when driving between Regional Victoria and Sydney. Sharon and her staff are always very welcoming and accomodating. Staying there with my small dog is hassle free. This trip I statyed in the new part which is amazing I've also previously stayed in the older fully refurbished rooms. The older rooms have the same crisp white bedlinens as used in the new buildings and the bathrooms have also been renovated which you don't often get in Motels while travelling through regional areas. Thanks again Sharon for a pleasant stay!

Upon arriving at the location, the exterior of the motel appeared outdated and run-down. However, as we proceeded to the reception and met the lovely receptionist, we learned that the motel is undergoing renovations. They have intentionally preserved the traditional exterior while upgrading the interior. After receiving our room key, we made our way to the room, and to our amazement, it was incredible! The interior was beautifully renovated with various facilities, allowing us to enjoy a very comfortable stay. Our kids absolutely loved the bunk bed and didn’t want to leave—they thoroughly enjoyed the room, the facilities, and the overall scenery. If we ever need accommodation in Cooma again, we would definitely book Cooma High Country Motel. It’s a highly recommended place to stay!

There was nothing to dislike about this motel. It was tip top.

Rooms were clean, warm, recently renovated with comfortable beds, good bed linen and towels. Great bathroom, plenty of hot water. Perfect for an overnight stay in winter.

The external areas are still being renovated/under construction so it’s not “picturesque” for a multi day walking stay when you might spend more time in the daytime there. I’m sure it will be beautiful when finished. However there was no construction noise or any disturbance to sleeping skiers.

The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. Room was brand new, and very clean. Cosy comfortable beds, well appointed kitchenette (interesting option of portable hob/cooktop), big TV, aircon/heat pump. There was a lodge/communal lounge area in the same building as reception which looked cosy, but we were only there overnight enroute to another destination, so didn't get to use it. Overall, good value for money.

for the cold season, floor heating in the bathroom would have been the icing on the cake. A little unusual design having the TV above the kitchen bench, where steam from cooking will go and no rangehood/extractor fan above where you would use the portable hob/cooktop. Not a lot of storage space or room for luggage. If you were staying longer than a few days and had 4 people in the room, it would be a bit cramped.

The lady at reception was lovely and very welcoming. I stayed in one of the renovated king rooms. Not a great deal of room with the king bed but after a long day on the road all i was interested in was the bed anyway. Incredibly comfortable mattress and pillows. The shower was large and had luxury shower heads. Big telly with streaming apps and free wifi. Everything i needed to relax and recharge. My absolute favourite thing about my stay though - my pooch was with me the whole time.

Although they were renovating before the peak season, but during my visit they offered a newly built room. Staff was friendly, supportive and appreciative of the fact that some renovations are going on and willing to offer one of the new rooms. Rooms were spacious, with couple of chairs outside makes a decent seating arrangement - particularly with kids.

Perhaps their common place needs bit uplift and maintenance otherwise no issues
