We stayed in the Superior Queen Room for a night. The size of the room would be great for a few days and the colour scheme was funky and fun and made the whole room feel very cosy and nice. The bed had an electric blanket and the towels were incredibly soft. Having a toaster, plates, bowls, and cutlery available in the room was a nice touch (we didn't use them but good to know for next time). The bed was very big and very comfortable (not too firm but not too soft either). I liked that there was a shelf area for our luggage and that the entry-way wasn't carpeted - it rained heavily on our arrival so it was good to have somewhere to put our shoes and wet things. The multiple lighting options were a real treat (overhead light, wall light, wall lamps, bedside table lamp). The location is right next to the Hume Hwy so driving to Gundagai took not even 5 minutes when we wanted to get dinner and explore the township. The garden-view out of our window was very nice and felt private. The carpark was full but we didn't hear anything of the other guests while in our room with the door shut.

The room was a bit older which you can tell by the style of windows and door latches - not a bad thing but adds some quirk. We weren't, however, able to lock our door besides using the safety chain which was a slight discomfort. An information folder with local recommendations and the wifi password would have been a nice addition to the room.

Great retro motel with a fabulous mid century vibe. This is a vintage motel that has been refurbished while embracing several of the retro features. A must for lovers of mid century buildings. The staff were very friendly, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Very close to the freeway for travellers needing to stop for the night and McDonald's is right across the road.Loved it, will definitely stay again.

We arrived late and after hours check in was super easy. The lady I spoke to was very lovely. It was a hot day and the aircon was on when we arrived so the room was a perfect temperature. Our room had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The room hasn’t been updated in a long time but it’s clear the managers care about their guests needs and comfort. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay, comfortable bed and pillows..better than most places I've stayed, accommodated us getting there after midnight after a long drive from Melbourne after work,petrol station just across the street helped in the morning to refuel and get on our way to Canberra in the morning. So convenient,a great place to stay

Comfortable and good air conditioning

Old and needs a renovation, too many beds in a small room, reception limited English (nice enough), too close to highway and main road - noisy, light curtain had sunlight come in at 5am. Not worth the cost

Nice, clean and tidy place with really old stuff that still works. An analog microwave and a door bolt style from my grandpa's time. A hair dryer that looks more like an antique hand vaccuum. Loved all of them. Good thing was they're in perfect working condition and add to charm of the place.

Would love for better signage or some lights on the sign board to let clients know they've reached the place.

So happy to have a microwave oven included with the usual kettle and toaster, convenient for ready made meals and warm drinks. Very efficient reverse cycle heating unit on the wall which kept the room warm on a cold June evening. Thankful for the steady flow of hot water for a shower, decent block out curtains over the sliding door and a good TV. The room was clean and tidy and quiet overnight. Good convenient location given that: it's near the Middle St and South St exit off the Hume Hwy (around 3km outside of Gundagai town centre); an IOR petrol station is over the road; the driveway to Hungry Jack's is diagonally opposite the motel's driveway and a second petrol station, Shell Coles Express, is next to Hungry Jack's.

Friendly front staff and good location (not in the centre of town but near essentials and quieter). Also pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness for a pet friendly motel. Easy check-in and privacy during our stay.

I was participating in the Beyond Blue rally with three of my mates & we loved the facilities provided, but we didn't get to experience the breakfast there because we had to leave early & breakfast was supplied by the Beyond Blue group, thank you

The room was clean and perfect. Some attention to bathroom plumbing would be good, things like making sure the sink and shower taps worked okay. And then having a jug that cannot be filled properly as it does not under the tap. To be fair, I have travelled internationally, and it is the same around the world. But in the end, it was nice. I had been on the road for 15 hours. It was quiet for NYE, and I got a good night's sleep.
