I had a private room with shared facilities and the room was nice. It was clean and spacious (no storage but enough room for my bags). I had a tv and tea/coffee stuff. My room shared the bathroom with just one other room and I didn't see anyone else use it while I was there. It was quiet and private. I did use the kitchen and the breakfast a couple of times. They tried hard to keep the place clean but the kitchen had food on the floor and dirty dishes in the sink - not their fault but other guests I think. There was a nice roof top space and it's right in the middle of Manly, minutes walk from the beach and ferry landing. Great location.
I think it depends on personal taste. I didn't like the breakfast (white bread, cereals) so I went out to eat. That's just me though. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it was quiet inside the hostel at night. The biggest thing was the noise coming from the bar/nightclub right outside my room. Not their fault. But it was incredibly loud and came right into the room. It stopped about midnight.

This hostel was by far one of the best ones I stayed in. This is a very social hostel where you can make friends for life! I had an option to work for accommodation which was also really helpful. Staff is really nice and once you start living in the hostel for some time you will feel like part of the family. The hostel is also in close proximity of the beach so you can really experience the beach life!

Friendly polite staff. Cleaning on everyday basis. Multicultural environment. Books, Art , Free Breakfast and other resources available.
The price for a private beedroom I understand is quite fair . Specifically because Manly is one of the best places in Sydney. It is already expensive to live there. But It would be amazing If the price was a little bit cheaper only for people with specific situations. Of course Temporarily. At the end of the day is a business and rent for this type of properties , strata fees , staff etc cost so much so I think the Government should give some help to owners of beautiful places like this. It helps Increase the revenue of the Area when people can spend more outdoors by supporting local businesses etc I have nothing to complain about I really loved this place and I can't wait to come back for a chilling weekend. Thankyou , God bless you all

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bonus we weren't expecting but so appreciated, room was great, tidy, clean, loved the little balcony with a view of Manly beach. This is a backpackers so lots of traveller's and has a pub right below/next door so if you wanting quiet then this is not for you BUT we loved it!!! Very close to places to eat or get takeaways from and shops and super close to Manly beach!!
That the lift wasn't working just hard to navigate stairs with heavy bags

I was supposed to stay only for one day in this hostel, and the vibe, the personal and the people I met, made me extend my trip here!!! It's a really cool place to discover Manly and fall in love with this particular area of Sydney! I recommend 100%!!!
Some of the things were not really working well in some room, and the heat as well was hard to manage in room even if there are fans in all them!

I’m hesitant to give this property a great review- as it is the BEST well kept secret! Clean, spacious, best locations, lovely staff, comfy bed, quiet- and a free brekkie!
The only comment I could make was there was no kettle in the room, although there were tea bags, coffee, mugs and milk!?!

I stayed here for a mate's birthday. I needed somewhere clean, near the function, & secure. My room was spotless, the girl at the front desk was very friendly, & I met Arya the cat, which other reviewers have mentioned. The hotel was literally next door to the birthday I was attending. If you want somewhere in Manly that's handy to everything, then this is the place Other guests were quiet, but the patrons leaving nearby pubs were a bit noisy. This is out of the hotel's control, but the hotel supplies ear plugs, however I didn't need them. I visit Manly throughout the year, & will stay at this hotel again.
No complaints

Loud, dirty, reeks of weed, had someone walk across the balcony one night to get into another room. But all in all I loved it haha you get what you pay for and it's a hostel so no complaints here. The room was big and cosy in an amazing spot. Will definitely be back haha

Location at Manly is perfect. Just minutes to the famous Manly beach. Price is the cheapest in metro Sydney. You can't find anywhere cheaper than this motel. Of course you pay what you get. It's a single bed in a dorm where you access via a key card. People from any countries including work holiday visa and some locals. You do have to look after your own belongings as there's no where to save the valuables as it's a big dorm.
If you share the room with other people unknown to each other, then you would expect noise issue.

The location of the places is in the center of manly, you have everything so close, just walking, and the beach is super close too.
In the lobby is not always people, have their number with you before to arrive, in case you need to call them.
