The location is exceptional. The staff is friendly and supportive. Everything in the room is just right for staying in few days for leisure. The hotel is quite new. Hair dryer, kettle, towels are provided free of charge (It's so appreciated after I stayed in some other places that they charge you for towels).

The hotel is located near the train station so you might be disturbed by the noise. The room is quite small, there is no desk for working but you can work in common area on ground floor, which is quite quiet and spacious. The corridor is not well ventilated so the smell of cleaning products are strong. When we first came, we had to open the window so the room is ventilated.

The decor in the room is very bright and cosy and the vibe of the hotel is very inviting. The pillows are nice and plump, which is a nice change. The provided amenities in the bathroom are good too. The downstairs restaurant has some good Tacos and they had live music and dancing on Friday night. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel offers luggage storage which is super handy The location itself is around 10 minutes from Redfern Station or Central Station, so it's quite easy for getting to and from the airport. Also within walking distance of Kensington Street for food, and Haymarket or Broadway for shopping

The location is next to the train line, which you know before booking, but the room doesn't do quite enough to dampen the noise. The room was on the first floor and music/noise can be heard from the restaurant on busy nights These weren't issues for me however, just points to make.

Location at Redfern Station was perfect, easy walk to Spice Alley for dinner & Belvoir Theatre. The margaritas at the Mexican on site were lovely! Room felt really spacious- I’m not sure what other reviewers are complaining about. Great value for money!

Look - you can’t get past the fact that you are above a major train line! My room was on the 1st floor, directly over the trains & it was loud - despite the double glazed window. Even ear plugs can’t block the noise out.

Hotel Hacienda was perfect for my short stay in Sydney and I would definitely stay here again. It is in an ideal location, only 15 minutes' walk to Central Station, Surry Hills, Chippendale, Redfern, and accessible everywhere else by well-connected public transport. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and although the trains can be heard on the tracks outside the window, it's actually quite soothing and relaxing once you get used to it. The room was small, but cozy and comfortable. Check-in and check-out were easy and staff were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Hotel Hacienda if you are staying in Sydney and want a great location with everything at your doorstep.

Nothing, everything was great.

It was a great location about 20 min away from Chinatown by walking.The room was small but nice .We just wanted to sleep and shower up and go sightseeing. The bed was very comfortable and the shower nice and powerful.The only thing is if you are a light sleeper not that I am but our room was on the backside of the hotel and you will hear at 4am the trains moving along. The room has A/C as well. There is a very nice bakery that sells the best coffee and assorted cakes and savoury pasties just near the petrol station. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

The only thing I found out of character was the front door receptionist. it just needs to be lively and cheerful when welcoming their guests.

Perfect location and had everything you'd need, except any cutlery or plates.

Under the chest of drawers was not clean and had things left over from past stayers also there was a brown mark along the wall of the bed which would've been visible when bed was made but it wasn't cleaned. Doors had big gaps so you heard everything going on in the hall, not soundproof like it said, and I was often woken up at 2-3am by noisy neighbour's having yarns in the hall orrr the trains going by at all hours of the night

It's a nice short downhill walk from Redfern station. Easy walk to central and good value.

I've stayed here quite a few times and thought that the barista coffee served now between 7am to 9am was free as they don't provide coffee sachets and electric kettles in the rooms. There was a charge ($3) for the barista coffee in the mornings, but you can request coffee sachets, paper cups and an electric kettle for your room if you want (free). It wouldn't stop me staying here, I'm overall very happy.

The Hotel is clean , it smells nice and has just what’s needed . Location is great . Good for a short stay . We were warmly welcomed , that was really nice .

The housekeeping staff was making a lot of noise around 8/8.30 am in the hallways . As it’s not well insulated we could hear everything, they were pretty loud as well , not really considering people’s sleep .It is a shame to have a late checkout ( 11 am which is amazing ). But then not being able to rest because of that . A tall mirror would be great as well in the room as there is none .

the staff were very friendly and helpful! The location and room price were great for what I needed, a budget room that was clean and comfortable. Hotel overall was well presented. I will stay here again if I needed to.

check the map, you will see this hotel is right next to railway line in/out of Sydney Central station - so yes there is some noise from trains. take ear plugs.

The property was in a great location, a 5min walk from the train station and 1 stop to central or 1 stop to Newtown. If you are going to Sydney and are going to be out all day and only need a place for your bags and to sleep this is a perfect hotel.

We didn’t know that you had to call and book parking so the parking wasn’t great, there can be street parking but may be busy during the week. as it is on the train line during the day the trains can be loud but if you keep the window shut you won’t hear them. For the size of the room the price could be cheaper.
