I liked the room, everything was clean and the bad was really comfortable. The location was not in the center but near enough to walk in 30min to the center. But you have everything important (bus, train, stores for food) around the hostel. The stuff is always helpful and nice when you have a question.

There are many long-term living so at the start it’s not so easy to get to know people. But when you just start to talk than you find out they are always willing to get to know new people. So don’t hold back.

Hostel has a lovely little garden, and the hostel holds several events. There is a kitchen and plenty of fridge space. rooms were tight as the lockers are awkward and not all bags fit so many leave the bags in the middle of the room which made it tight. My room had a sink but it was placed too close to a bed it made it difficult to use. the kitchen was good in terms of pots and pans all appeared quite new. The hostel has a WhatsApp group chat which is helpful to keep up to date with what's going on in the hostel. I slept well and it was close to central station and a Coles so really couldn't complain overall. Although the bathroom is shared I never had any issues, the shower had good pressure and you didn't have to keep pressing to keep the water on!

I knew the hostel didn't have Aircon but our window didn't have a fly screen which made it difficult to leave open in the evening when it was cooler. I didn't realise before I cooked that there was no oven! Everyone keeps their items in bags but I couldn't see spare bags. The hostel had a free food dry store but I was unable to see one for the fridge area, and there was no freezer. One of the nights we were given wristbands for an event but that was it, I thought the hostel was going to organise us as a group but that was not the case.

Stuff at the hostel was very nice and helpful. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, inner garden is really lovely. The room was clean. Wonderfully located near bus station and 10 minutes walk from big metro/train station, lovely park nearby. Also there is amazing cafe just across the street that was a nice addition to everything

Lack of the bathrooms/showers. Beds were creaking every time we moved even a little bit. Therefore, I wouldn’t say that the room with more 7 girls we had a quiet nights.

Amazing social garden outside, TV room is very social and everyone there is very friendly. All staff are friendly and some get involved in hostel activities such as boat parties. Cool street art around the outside areas. My bed had two sockets per person in a 12 man mixed dorm, fans in the room keep it relatively cool. Kitchen has loads of pans, pots, plates, bowls and cutlery for you to use. Washing machines and driers on site are great and easy to use as well. Very cheap price for anyone staying here at the value you get out of the hostel. The best atmosphere, couldn’t recommend it more to anyone backpacking who want to meet more like minded travellers.

Absolutely nothing

The female room is at the top, I had a pleasant stay, and everyone was respectful. It is quiet and the beds were okay. There are not many showers and restrooms available but enough for everyone. The staff was the best, super friendly and helpful! The female room also has a faucet and mirror and you can charge your phone at night.

The shower rooms can be a bit messy to use. Each "house" has one shower and bathroom on the 2nd floor and the rest are near the garden. It can be uncomfortable as there is no room to leave your shoes and sometimes the showers were messy with dirt and other stuff.

We only stayed 1 night and it was a good experience. The dorm is only for 4 people and you have lockers. The hostel was clean. I saw them cleaning the bathrooms twice daily so that was okay. We didn’t use the kitchen but it looked okay. The staff was friendly.

You can’t really darken the room, the curtain has no effect when the sun rises. There is no shelf for the upper beds so you can’t put your stuff anywhere near to the bed because it will fall down.

We booked the private double room. Huge room with a sink and place to hang clothes. Clean and comfortable with helpful staff. There were always showers and toilets free when we needed and there were great kitchen and fridge facilities.

A little rough around the edges, but no more than I would expect for the price. Curtain in the room was a bit knackered though and didn't block out any light - that could do with being replaced.

Clean rooms, clean kitchen, clean bathrooms Large common areas nice Tv room Lots of space in the dorms Everyone is very friendly Small events every days of the week Fair price compared to others hostels. 10/10, can hardly do better in terms of confort and cleanliness

Nothing, except for some roommates that were disrespectful but that’s not the hostel’s fault. I wasn’t a big fan of the location but it’s my personal opinion (not a city person) because you got everything you need at reach (woolworth, coffees shops, bus stations)

Loved the vibe and mix of travellers at SG - staff were great - well organised, especially the hooks for everyone's food on the kitchen wall - I had 3 German travellers sharing a 4 bunk dorm with me - had a great laugh - easy as.

For the price you can't go wrong if solo or travelling couple - if you're a family def consider asking for one of the 4 bunk rooms - location is excellent just 10 mins walk from Central St Station

It's a beautiful old building just a short walk from most places like the train station, shopping centre and park. It was a relatively low price and nicer than anticipated being a backpackers. The people were nice and the facilities were decent. Deffinetly would stay again if I'm in Sydney

Bed was right next to the window, which faced the street, so it was bright and noisy. Wasn't the hostels fault just a personal thing, I probably should've gotten there earlier to choose a bed, but otherwise, it was a good experience
