Staff were very friendly and helpful, Location was great to walk to the Allianz Stadium. Bus stop nearby to get straight into the city. Fish n Chips was excellent at the Bar and had Happy Hour 4-6pm Stay included 10% off at the bar downstairs and included a main shared kitchen upstairs with Tea/Coffee milk, Juice and Basic Cereal selections which was most welcomed. Room was clean and tidy and had a heater, also had Kettle with tea and coffee. Did contain fridge but was stocked with drinks to buy and food and snacks above on the shelf.

Painting work could use some improvement/TLC

This is a good hotel to stay in if you need to be in Surry Hills. It's on the corner of busy Crown and Cleveland streets and over a pub but amazingly, the room was not noisy at all. Bed was comfy, room was large enough and the kitchen area with cereals, milk and juices was much appreciated. WIFI was fast, TV had limited channels and the bathroom was a bit small in that there was nowhere to put your toiletries (I placed a chair out the door) and the sink is absolutely miniscule (hard to wash your face with the cabinet sticking directly over) but the shower pressure was good so made up for it. Elevator was no wait and one free drink in the pub per day was nice too. Staff friendly and helpful and room cleaned every day with new towels. There is a Chemist Direct across the street and a Coles grocery store plus fruit store less than 3 minutes walk so very convenient to pick up food (room has a fridge but could also leave in the kitchen) though Crown Street itself has plenty of food options (plus an Op-shop). There are three bus stops outside the hotel on Cleveland Street (take the 352 to Bondi Junction) and the Devonshire Street L2 to Central Station and beyond is about a 5-7 minute walk up Crown Street. The rate was very similar to several hotels in the Haymarket area so not really ideal if you want to be in the city as it's probably a 25 minute walk but very good if you want to be in Surry Hills.

No complaints

The staff were friendly and the room was a perfect size. We stayed in the queen room. It was clean and comfortable. There were complimentary drinks at the bar and 10% off our meal. There was also a shared kitchen with complimentary breakfast cereal, juice and water for guests. Only downside was the rooms were not very sound proof. However, we could not hear any of the traffic or sound from the pub below. Simply just other guests on our level. Walking distance to a Coles and plenty of restaurants and cafes. Would 100% stay here again!

The shower grain was blocked; it was full of hairs. With my first shower the water was overfloating and running into the bathroom I have removed most of the hairs and asked the reception to do the rest .... wasn't done!! The air-condition was full of dust. The dust was falling of the bed. I've asked the receptionist to clean it by vacuuming it. That was actually done..... but only on the outside. The inside was still dusty!!!

Good location, comfortable bed, room was nice with private balcony. Bathroom sliding door get stuck when you close it so had to keep it open which is awkward when you're traveling with a friend and our room was next to the shared kitchen and woke up at 4 am and 6 am because of people in the kitchen but apart from that the room was pretty good and comfy! Nice mini bar with a lot of choices too if needed and free cereals and juices available in the kitchen. Staff were great.

Nice room, perfect stay! Besides free coffee and tea, there were also free cereals and milk and free juice. What I have never experienced before in any other hotel: as there is a bar associated with the hotel, there was ONE FREE DRINK at the bar on EACH DAY OF THE SOJOURN! Fantastic! The hotel is easy to reach by bus: two different bus lines to different places downtown. The bus stops are very close to the hotel. Very convenient! Really a great stay!

The stay was great! The room was above a hotel on a bustling road full of great cafes but so well soundproofed I didn’t hear anything, not even other guests in the corridor outside my room. The staff were great, I felt very welcome. The room itself was large and great to move around in in an electric wheelchair, well stocked with bottled water, and tea making facilities, and the bathroom was a nice, modern, well designed accessible bathroom. Because of the reasonable price and superb location, very central to everything, I will definitely be staying again.

The mattress was a little too unforgiving for my liking, I prefer something softer as well as supportive, and the pillows weren’t great, so next visit I will definitely ask if there are any other pillows as the ones in my room were ready to be replaced.

Lovely rooms above the pub. Juices and cereal in the morning and a free drink at the bar downstairs surprised me :) Super friendly staff. Good location.

Water pressure in shower was a little low. I would have liked to have a table in the room. The fridge in my room didn't work propey / needed to be taken out, but I used the one in the kitchen area.

Hotel was an amazing price and included a breakfast that was delivered to the kitchen each morning. It was a great location with lots of food options around. Walking into the pub downstairs I was a little worried but then you are taken upstairs to a beautiful little boutique hotel which is so quiet.

The only bad thing is the parking situation but nothing the hotel can do about that.

We were lucky to get the last room but is was a disability room which is fine but the bathroom has an open shower room with no where to hang clothes or towels off the floor which is pooled with water after a shower. The entire floor space was wet not just the shower end. It would be good if it drained quicker / more freely and there was wall mounted hangers to keep things off the wet floor.
