The lift was questionable, big bang and old

The rooms are super fresh & minimal. However, the location was the highlight for us being close to so many incredible restaurants, the junction and neighbourhoods like Surry hills. We found it so easy to get around via the bus (we went all the way to manly and it only took 45 minutes) also great amenities including a super cute cafe/bar below and pool area.

From our personal experience I would say not the most amazing choice for young families due to the room we booked being so petite and the difficulty lugging additional items like prams etc up stairs but a great option if all you’re planning on doing is using your hotel for sleeping or a couple.

Close to the city with access to bus services that run very regularly between the city and the beaches, and a pretty short taxi/uber ride to and from the airport. The pool and overall vibe is nice, and the robes in the room were a nice touch. The room and bathroom were just big enough to be comfortable though probably some people would feel the bathroom was a bit small.

Lift was being fixed at the time so it was a bit of a hike up and down the stairs - luckily we didn't bring much luggage with us. Staff did offer to help with our bags.

The staff really made it for us. In particular one lad who was from the UK, with an accent, behind the reception desk. He was friendly but incredibly attentive - he heard we were in town to get married and managed to facilitate an upgraded room for us to help my wife do her makeup and get ready. Honestly made the world of difference and we'll be back for sure.

Nothing really to do with the hotel itself, just the area has some elements and people about it that can sometimes have it feel a bit unsavoury.

Pre check-in service with CJ was helpful. Check in staff were great. Location is good for proximity to Oxford St. Room decor is good. Shower water pressure is great. Good to have mini fridge but only had small capsules of long life milk in them. Pool looked nice but didn’t use it as there was a function on. Busby’s was nice for breakfast. Good coffee. All staff were helpful and friendly. Courtyard room was pretty quiet. Nice robes and products. No phone charger in room. But reception staff provided one when requested.

Room is very small. The AC isn’t very strong or powerful especially on a humid day. I kept hitting my leg on the bed frame. They look good but are not very practical.

The check-in process was great and easy. If you are wanting a good location to check out some great food, local shopping, and ease of transport to Bondi, Coogee Beaches, this is a winner of a place to stay.

Being a converted hotel from what felt like a dormitory, it was a little noisy due to the existing construction, but if you are able to select a room, just suggest being mindful of that. If you are out and about, it really doesn't matter.

The outdoor pool/bar area is a great oasis in the city.

The main entrance to the hotel is a little underwhelming. We checked in 2 days before Xmas and the lift was out of order and stayed that way for the whole 4 days. The staff were helpful with luggage, but it would have been quite uncomfortable for anyone with mobility issues

The venue is spacious, and the room was tastefully decorated. Bathroom was immaculate! We liked the layout and the state of the room was very clean and fresh. The bed was so comfortable!

We didn't know that there would be music playing all day and evening in the courtyard outside our room, if we had known, we would have asked for a room on the outer side. The light from the aircon was very bright blue and we had to stack a bag against it in order to sleep.

Oxford House is in a class of its own. Nestled amongst the ever popular Oxford street, you are spoiled for choice with cafes, bars and night happenings. The staff were welcoming and offered their services above what many other hotels would. This was a very well received. The room itself (Oxford Deluxe) had a balcony that overlooked Oxford street. Perfect size room. Free wifi was a great perk. We had a few issues with room service one night however they were fast to rectify the issue and in true Oxford House style, exceeded our expectation with how they managed to keep us happy. Thank you to all staff - your customer service and pride sets you apart. My wife and I will be back!

nicely styled, very clean, comfortable. i appreciate the windows could open and i could sleep without airconditioning. staff super friendly.

the hotel should make some sustainability and ethical decision to supply toilet papaer and tissues from a business with purpose like who gives a crap or yarn'n. its a simple choice to make that can make a big impact and the finacial costs are very compeitive with current supplier that the hotel uses.
