The room is just as advertised - it has got all the facilities I need, including a small fridge, a TV and great wardrobe space. The location is excellent and I can get to my conference venue in Surry Hills within a short walk. If you love walking like me, you can also access major attractions such as the Australian Museum, Hyde Park, Botanical gardens, art gallery of NSW and the opera house within a 30-min walk.

Unfortunately for me, the whole week I was there it was raining all the time. This means I had to spend more time in the room than I expected and it wasn't the best room to linger in while waiting for the rain to stop. The WiFi is really poor and isn't ideal if you're here for work. The bedsheets still had hair from previous customer(s) and the white sheets and pillows looked a bit yellow. The room has a faint mossy smell but I can't fault this place too much as it's been raining all week.

Great little hotel, well located just away from the bustle of Kings Cross, but a small walk to cafe's, shops and transport. Very attentive and kind owners. Everything I needed for a comfy stay, budget friendly and clean.

There is really nothing not to like about Hotel 59, situated in a Sydney terrace house, it is vintage but clean and tidy. I needed to arrive earlier than my booking and they accomodated me by having my room ready several hours earlier. There was a small plumbing problem and it was fixed the day after it was brought to the owners attention. 😁You can not ask for more than that !!

The location is relatively quiet (apart from the chirping of birds in the mornings - which is a lovely change to hear in the heart of a city centre). The hotel is conveniently located as it is short walk to Coles/Woolworths supermarkets, cafes and eateries. The room was adequately equipped and was comfortable enough. The staff were very helpful and they fixed a broken shower door promptly.

The fittings in the room are somewhat dated and worn, but they function okay. No wine glasses were provided, so we had to use the water glasses instead.

What a great location and an easy walk to SCG for the cricket, the Botanical Gardens and the view of the SHBridge and Opera House from Mrs Macquarie's Chair, bought my UK sister to tears. Great restaurants and takeaways all round and a fabulous bottle shop 2 mins away. Our room was at the front, with the trees by the window and waking up to the beautiful birdlife was amazing. Felt like home, we loved it.

Convenient location, within walking distance to the city. There are lots of takeaways, cafes, and shops nearby, as well as bus stops, a train station, and even a park. The room was small but clean, with all the necessary amenities and a comfy bed. Very nice and friendly staff. I will definitely recommend this place ❤️

The room turned out to be a little smaller than it appeared in the photos, but it was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable throughout our stay. Considering the price, it offered good value for money. The staff were attentive and made sure we had all the information we needed, which made our experience smooth and hassle-free.

A microwave in the room would have been great!

Great central location, easy to get everywhere with the train on walking distance, great public transport system. Rooms are very quiet and clean. We had a great stay and would definitely use this hotel again. Hotel was easy to find and to access, keys left in envelope in lock box. Lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner on walking distance in all different budgets available.

George is a nice host, really helpful and recommended places to see. Easy self-checkin which was great. Nice and clean room w/ really comfortable bed. There was a cold refrigerator, tv with selection of channels, coffee, tea, shampoo, towels etc, everything you need. Nice shower. Good location right at Kings Cross w/ restaurants and you can walk to the Opera House and Botanical Gardens in approx 30 min.

Sometimes, the plumbing made loud noises when showering.
