This place is great, very homely and the building itself is lovely, definitely old but huge and a nice design. spacious and the rooms are large. Everyone is so lovely here and they have events and free dinners every few nights, take you out as a group some nights too. The TV room is nice and the kitchen is decently sized! I would definitely come back here. There was just something about it! The location is also perfect, close to shops, restaurants, bus and trains. Loved my time here, was sad to leave!

Only complaints were the lack of individual lights/ chargers and no curtains on the top bunks. Also didn't love how they close the kitchen/patio at 10 but it's understandable for cleaning.

I had a really good stay here. What I liked the most was how clean everything was. the common areas and rooms were always tidy, which made the whole place feel comfortable and welcoming. Having breakfast included every morning was a big plus, especially when you're traveling and want to start the day off right. The people and the overall vibe were also really nice, super friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

I honestly can't think of anything worth mentioning.

Very big kitchen and friendly staff. They clean the hostel/toilets/kitchen several times per day. Not lots of toilets/showers but never had to wait for long. Lockers, drawers and fridge inside the room. If you need to print a few pages, they print for free.

WiFi at night is very precarious. They have some people actually living there so they make more noise than usual (most of days until 1-3am) but I think it depends of the room you get. The mattress is a little bit hard. And there's some cockroaches, but not so bad.

This place was perfect for a night away. We got a private bunk room with an ensuite and it was just what we needed. Not that we used it cause we weren't there much but there was even coffee sachets, kettle, plates and cutlery and a fridge. Guy at the front desk was very friendly

Our room was off the central space and it was a bit noisy at night time but we still slept fine

I had a pleasant stay at Original Backpackers in Sydney. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is really convenient, close to transport and very central. The rooms were clean, and the common areas were nice for meeting other travelers. Overall, it was a comfortable and affordable place to stay. Would definitely recommend!

The friendly staff is exceptional, so welcoming and accommodating. The location is unbeatable do is the value foe the money.

This is a classy place for backpackers and the staff is doing its utmost to keep the kitchen clean and tidy however, with the amount of traffic that comes through, it is impossible to expect spotless. It is expected that everyone cleans after themselves and contributes to keeping the kitchen and dining area clean however, this is not always the case.

Its an original old town house although converted. In a super local for easy travel around the city. Whether on foot, bus or train. We loved the atmosphere and friendly staff. Comfortable rooms and very well equipped kitchen. Free breakfast- cereal, muesli and toast. Excellent for the price you pay.. Three free evening meals provided and different entertainment a few nights a week..

The location is great. Close to the train station and tons of stuff around, walkable to Centennial Park. The room is a good size.

Wall leaked where the shower hit, so water coming under the wall/floor. Room is very humid and hot with just a fan. Not soundproof, you can hear people talking outside early in the morning very clearly.

loved the atmosphere everyone was very friendly and courteous in the rooms. I was not expecting free dinner aswell and they were amazing Everything was clean and the bathrooms never smelled bad. There was so much information about what to do in Sydney I also loved how there was always people to talk to no matter how late

I would have preferred there stricter rules about where you could smoke. the top bunks had no privacy while the lower bunks did.

Room was as advertised and value for money as well as a good location. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Free daily basic continental breakfast and free dinner twice a week.

Appeared to be no lights in the corridor going up stairs to the room and dark at night, i needed to use torch on my phobe. . It had been raining so concrete floors were wet and slippery.
