I travelled from India and stayed for six days in July 2024 in the hotel. I walked from Kings Cross train station. It took me around 5 minutes to find McElhone Street. Going toward the hotel, the McElhone street is slopey downhill road, so carrying a luggage was easy. Though, while returning to Kings Cross station from the hotel was not easy, as I had to drag my luggage uphill to reach the station. Its around 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross station. Most of the tourist sites I covered just by walking, like Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour bridge, Macquarie's Chair, Queen Victorial Building, Sydney tower, Hyde Park, Royal Botanical Park, St. Mary's Cathedral, . If you can walk you can cover most of the sites just by walking from the Hotel. I am a museum goer and to my joy, most of museums like Australian Museum, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney Museum, etc. I reached just by walking. The stay was quite comfortable. The breakfast was decent.

Everything was good. I forgot to carry slipper. So, even if a pair of flimsy slipper provided in the room, it would have been really good.

Location, location, location. This is a wonderful hotel and such good value for money. If you are happy with a comfortable room and great cooked, fresh breakfast and warm and friendly staff who offer valuable information about places to go and see and the best way to get there then this is the place for you. It’s not your up market hotel but the rooms are clean and comfortable, fridge, microwave, tea, coffee and biscuits and a separate lounge/ games room for guests to use plus a laundry is available for coin. It has the old school hospitality like your booking into a country motel. We have stayed before and we will definitely be back, perfect location for walking to see Handa Opera and we walked to Australia Museum the following day. Parking is also very reasonable at $25.

We stayed 7 days in this hotel. Their daily full buffet breakfast is highly recommended. The kitchen staff are very consistent in re-filling the food from the buffet. Kudos to Ging, who is very attentive to all of their guests in the restaurant. As far as I know, there are only a few boutique hotels in Sydney that have a full buffet breakfast. We took a free taxi from Kingsford Airport Sydney to Mariner’s hotel, which is part of Booking.com complimentary package, since we booked this hotel through their website. We were allowed an early check-in upon our arrival. It is accessible to Sydney Townhall, Chinatown and Circular Quay by taking a 5-minute walk from the hotel to bust stop by taking the # Line 311 bus. It is wintertime during our stay and the room is very comfortable as we have a portable heater and built-in heater in the bathroom. The linen and towels set-up was new and over-all the condition of the room is well-maintained. We will definitely come back to this hotel and recommend it to our friends and family.

Due to numerous numbers of passengers getting out of the airport, we missed the first complimentary taxi package of Booking.com, HOWEVER, we were able to assist by Booking. Taxi agent sorry if I spelled it wrong "Sharia" who have done excellent assistance to us by getting another taxi for us without paying anything. I highly commended her for an outstanding job well done. Thank you so much!

Breakfast provided makes the room great value for money. Breakfast fare is quite standard, no better or worse than I have at home, but there is enough choice to please most people, including a reasonable range of hot cooked items. Location is very handy to city, art gallery and City to Surf Start, which was the purpose of my visit. I was travelling with my family including baby grandson , the lounge room area was useful for us to have a bit more space than just the room. The room had a small outdoor balcony but it was too cold to use it during my stay, view included some garden plants partially screening residences, but I wasn’t expecting or needing a view.

Pillows were a bit flat and old.

Everything. Staff helpful with late check in and it is so convenient to be able to park onsite. The room we got this time was a little small, but it was fine for the one night. We usually are given one of the more newly renovated ones. The rooms are always clean, and the rate is very reasonable. A good breakfast is also included in the rate which is great. We have been staying here for years now as we come to Sydney often and find the location great and the parking at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend for good budget accommodation.

This was an accessible room (though we didn't ask for one) which meant the bathroom floor got very wet. but only stayed one night so it didn't really matter.

This hotel is an absolute gem. The facilities are great-coffee machine in lounge, snooker table and laundry-and the rooms are very comfortable with a small balcony. The breakfast and staff were excellent. We arrived by train to Kings Cross which is a 5 minute walk away and walked to all the main attractions easily. To the opera house and circular quay it takes 20-30 minutes and you are very close to the botanic gardens. There are plenty of places to eat nearby including the famous ‘Harrys’ van which does pie, mash and peas! We were expecting a lot less for the very reasonable cost but it was incredibly good value and one of the quietest hotels we’ve stayed in. Would definitely use them again.

Hotel with a large bedroom, large bathroom with curtains, all amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and soap, towels are changed daily. Very good location, very close to the Royal Garden and the Sydney Opera House and very close to Potts Point. There is a subway station about 800 meters away. Nearby Porto has the best restaurants without tourists. Reasonable breakfast. The same things every day. They are lacking in presentation and have an outside space that is better because the inside has a very strong smell of grease. The cleaning of the rooms is horrible, very bad. They only make the bed daily but do not clean the rooms. I found a lipstick from the guest before me. The reception only opens from 9am. The manager was extremely polite to me. It was raining sometimes and she gave me an umbrella and directions where to go.

Donna was a wonderful host! Very politely greeted me at the entrance to let me in. My arrival into the city by country train was late that afternoon as it was pouring down rain. Tried to phone when I arrived at Kings Cross station to let them know that my country train was delayed, but no one would answer my calls. So I walked in the rain, grabbed some dinner and got there eventually and the lovely Donna was so sweet and kind to let me in with a passcode and greeted me with a huge smile! Until today (4 weeks later) no one has returned my telephone calls. All I can think of is that your telephone line is not working and needs to be fixed?

Mariners Court not answering nor returning my telephone calls. A few guests were quite loud at night but they didn't go on for very long, so it was ok. Thankfully I managed to get a good night's sleep, as I needed to be up very early for an important surgeon's appointment the next morning.

The room was clean and had all amenities that would be expected and the bed was comfortable. The buffet breakfast was well cooked and well presented with a choice of cereal, hot and cold dishes. The staff, reception, housekeeping and catering were all helpful, friendly and welcoming. The guest lounge was a nice touch which included a pool table, TV, comfy seating and a free coffee machine. The location was ideal for visiting the city and the Big Bus tour stop was only minutes away. Excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

There's nothing I didn't like, although arriving after reception was closed, I did feel a little wary, however the entry system worked perfectly and our room was ready for us and any fears we had were quickly dispelled in the morning.

The location is wonderful, down the end of the road is Woolloomooloo wharf and the famous Harry's Cafe de wheels. 6 minute walk to KingsCross train station or a bus where the wharf is to get around. There is car parking if you have a car. The room is a nice size and beautiful , with a balcony, you can sit outside and drink your coffee and enjoy the sun. There is a guest lounge/ play room with a free coffee machine, pool table , books, etc. Also laundry room is available too, in the room there is a microwave, coffee and tea and a bar fridge, big shower, ceiling fan, aircon, extra blankets and a comfy bed. In reception area you can buy bottles of wine and champagne, also room came with a free brekky, its self serve continental brekky, it was all amazing. We love this old world charm, and will stay again. We were so surprised that this amazing hotel still used actual keys, so love this place, we stated due to going to see zz top at the icc building in darling harbour, but will find many excuses to stay at the mariners court again , friendly beautiful staff too ,

Everything was perfect, no problems at all
