The room had a balcony area to sit out and observe the street below - nice if you need some fresh air in your room area. The location is perfect for heading down to the riverside and taking in the views of the Sydney Harbour - Harbour bridge, Opera house, Naval base etc. There was adequate space in my room to lay down and watch TV as well as use the desk area to set up my laptop for work. The bed was comfy and space was clean. There were enough towels and basic items to use as well as a basin and mirror in the room to use for personal cares. Although not having a dedicated reception area after 3pm, it was fairly straightforward to accessing the property and collecting keys from the lockbox.

Sharing a bathroom with other rooms on the same level. It was giving glorified hostel vibes. Also, there isn't a lift to the other floors, so makes it not suitable for those with physical disabilities / reduced movement. Safety at night as homeless people lurk the area, which can result in not getting sufficient sleep if you're a light sleeper - their noise echoes throughout the whole street. I would advise getting private transport to-and-from The Jensen if you're heading out to other areas at nighttime.

Although it was a budget stay, it didn’t feel like budget at all. The lobby and the room feels so inviting, homey and smells nice. Checking in was easy and simple as well even though I came in after hours. I also had to leave my baggage before I head to the airport and the friendly staff was super accomodating and kind.

Bathroom was a bit squished for my liking and hard to sit on the toilet but it gets the job done.

We loved everything about our experience! The service was amazing, the staff were so helpful, so friendly, and efficient. The shared amenities, hallways and common areas were spotless. The rooms are hotel quality, they are exactly like the pictures. There is housekeeping everyday, they do such a good job at cleaning. The bed and linen were extremely comfortable. The aircon, TV, mini fridge, sink, and coat hangers are very great to have in the room. There was lots of bathrooms and they were kept extremely clean. It is in such a lovely location, with the prettiest street and lovely restaurants and cafes. The train station is only a short walk away.

The room is great, you get your own private sink in your room, which is convenient as the bathrooms are shared with 3-4 other rooms on the same floor. The location is great, there are resturaunts and cafe's within walking distance, a large upscale grocery store a block away, and you can easily walk to the Opera House, Museum's, Hyde Park, Queen Victoria Building, Library, or botanical gardens with a 20-30 minute walk. There is also an outdoor exercise park at Rushcutters Bay Park if you are into that which is about a 15 minute walk away. If you want to see Bondi its about 30 mins via E-bike (there are always E-bikes scattered about nearby). This was my first time in Australia and I absolutely loved it!

I have no complaints aside from the wifi being being a bit spotty on some mornings. The toilet and shower are shared amongst 3-4 other rooms so be aware if that is not to your taste, I personally did not mind it at all, the bathrooms are extrememly clean and the staff are excellent. I would absolutely stay here again if given the opportunity.

Very nice hotel for its price. The hotel is cute, clean, and has all the necessary amenities. There is one shared bathroom for each floor, but I never had an issue with waiting. The room and bathroom were very clean. The hotel is very close to restaurants.

No.genuine complaints, more.just possibly helpful tips. There is street parking in front of the hotel, but it can be very hard to get. There's a secure parking garage on Kings Street that is 10 minutes away. Discounted parking vouchers are available at reception, but maybe compare prices first. I bought the voucher for $33, but it only would have cost me $30 if I had paid at the garage. Rooms don't have microwaves. They do.have mini fridges, but they are incredibly tiny

I have stumbled The Jensen via booking.com website. First initial thought was to be honest quite skeptical as pictures shown was too immaculate to be true. The pricing itself was quite per se surprisingly economical knowing that the location sits at a prime location. Current rates approximately under 150 dollars per night, in Potts Point with the ammenities they have got, I would say “That’s a steal!”. To be fair I was just looking for a private room so I can do some of laptop work in my room while jamming to my music, communal bathroom defo not an issue for me to say the least. I finally arrived in Sydney, however I arrived after hours, therefore I had to pick up my key with instructions given to me via email. Instructions were very easy to follow and as soon as I picked up my key, all I said to myself was “Oh my.. wow”. Aesthetically the vibes were very much “welcome home” rather than a temporary place to stay. It was very warmth, quiet, and spotlessly clean. I continued being amazed with this place, not too exaggerating anything but all I can say again is “What a Gem!”. Overall reviews, bathroom was very clean and well maintained. The room itself was very cozy and bed was very comfortable. Guests were very respectful to each other’s privacy. Speaking of location, it is perfect for foodie lovers also Coffee-Connoisseurs. Also easy access to public transportations. For you who are looking for experience, this place is the one to put in your bucket lists Well done, The Jensen :)

Excellent value in a great location. The rooms are not big and don't always have views from the windows but they are comfortable with coffee/fridge/sink and the non ensuite bathrooms are good. Staff are friendly and helpful, we arrived early and dropped off our luggage which they moved to the room for us when it later came available Handy for transport and lots of good restaurants - recommend the Apollo just up the road!

We did find a pair of socks under the bed so I guess the cleaning may not always be that thorough!

Good area, friendly staff, able to have unlimited refills of tea, coffee and milk, comfy bed. We had a lovely little balcony to chill out, could imagine it’s a bit dingy without the outside space/windows. They helpfully let us store our bags for a couple of hours after our check-out.

The shared bathroom was one bathroom between 5 rooms so could get a little queue-y. The soundproofing was rubbish both in between the rooms and to the outside, especially to the outside, so sleep was a little interrupted.

To begin, the location for this place is excellent. It's not smack right in the middle of the CBD but Potts Point is a very cute little neighbourhood of the city which we enjoyed a lot. It's probably a 20 minute walk to the Opera House. The hotel itself is also quite cute but tiny. We never saw the staff but the check in and out was pretty seamless and the bathrooms seemed to be cleaned quite regularly. The little balcony off the room overlooking the street was also nice and the bed was comfy.

To be fair, it is right on the main street though Potts Point but it is fairly noisy on the street in the mornings. At 6 am, you could hear the recycling trucks coming by and smashing bottles. The old doors to the balcony could probably be upgraded to reduce some of the road noise. You could also hear a good amount of noise from the hallways and adjoining rooms. We heard our neighbours arguing quite a bit. Otherwise, the place was great.

It was a lovely boutique hotel with great vibe. Beautifully decorated and clean throughout. It was quiet and in a great location. The room we were in had a balcony which was nice. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and communication before arrival and out of hours was very efficient. Bathroom products smelt like a spa.

Supplies in the room and shared refreshment area were a little on the low side. It was mainly shared bathroom basis which wouldn't normally be my preference, but actually there were many bathrooms across the property and they were very clean and well supplied with beautiful products.
