Really nice vibe, I was expecting so much worse as it was cheap for Sydney but it was brilliant and I extended my stay.

The only thing is all the bed frames are cheap tin so every breath you take sounds like freddy krueger playing guitar.

Value for money is unmatched. Good location, allowed to charge e-bike battery and can lock bike it outside front. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Free washing machines and dryer. Lockers in every room. Quiet at night time. Good showers cleaned properly most rooms have private showers and toilets. Big tv with sofa. Good if you want to watch your team play back home. Plug sockets on every bed.

Seriously needs more fans or AC, every room has ceiling fans but it’s not enough. At night time when everyone is sleeping the air goes very hot and stale. I think this is because doors and windows are closed at night so no air flow. Beds are very squeaky, some beds very bad some beds not so bad.

The hostel is conveniently located in the heart of the city, just a short walk away from major tourist attractions and public transportation. This made exploring the city a breeze. The staff at London Plane were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They also provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. Considering the excellent location, facilities, and service, London Plane offers exceptional value for money. In conclusion, London Plane offers a comfortable and welcoming environment that makes you feel right at home. The combination of its prime location, excellent facilities, friendly staff, and great value for money makes it deserving of a 5-star rating. I would highly recommend London Plane to anyone visiting this city.

I stayed here for quite a long time before and came back again when I returned to Sydney. I heard they changed the management recently, the whole place feels more organised, especially with noise control at night, which is great for someone like me who has trouble sleeping. The staff are super friendly and helpful, love the family vibe. Will definitely come back next time!

No hassle check in and out and the staff were very friendly. Nice and warm in winter with good ventilation and soundproofing. Cozy communal courtyard. Great location in trendy area, easy walk to the city and next to train station.

The beds were clean but not the most comfortable, a little less modern than some places but good value for money.

This is a lovely place in a pretty, heritage listed building in a gorgeous, tree lined street near public transport, shops, and coffee outlets. It's not a party hostel, which is perfect for people who want a good night's sleep and somewhere to relax before going out. The management and staff truly care about guests and their comfort too - they are truly lovely people. The amenities are very good too, especially bed linen. Cleaning is really good and done regularly, and there's a good kitchen and dining area with everything you need. There's a beautiful area our back that opens during the day and that has nice greenery and local birds in the morning that's nice for relaxing. The reception staff are great and helpful and there's also a well stocked shop in the front which has everything you need in an emergency. A standout feature of this place is management's stated and actual commitment to respect for diversity and inclusion. Jimmy and his team genuinely care about everyone's right to have peace and enjoyment here, and do a great job in my opinion in this respect as well as in overall great management of the hostel.

1. Some people just can’t follow the rules even there’s a “quiet time” announcement. 2. The kitchen sinks are usually clogged up after lunch time or dinner time, which makes it looks a bit nasty. Imo the hostel shares common area for tourists to use, it’s our job to maintain the environment well; otherwise, no matter how much effort they put for providing us more comfortable accommodation, it still cannot satisfy everyone’s need.

Cleaned regularly, close to a station and walkable distance from Opera house, but still very quiet. Check-in was quick and easy, staff was nice and friendly, never had to queue for showers or toilets. Lockers in the room, but don't forget to have your own padlock. Doors to room accessible with keypad, so no worries about losing or misplacing your key.

Despite having two fans in the room it still might get hot at night when the t° outside is close to 30°.

I like the location, close to the train.
