I had a long stay at this hostel and I think you get a lot in return for the price you're paying. Very clean, organized, well equipped kitchen, access to gym. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and also has a very good social vibe that makes it easier to meet new people in the common areas (with daily activities). I'd 100% recommend this hostel if you're looking for something social and cozy!

Would be great to have curtains on the beds, as well as night stand (specially for top beds).

I love the location, it’s not that far away from the city center, the Kings Cross Train Station is around 5 Minutes away and around the hostel you have everything what you daily need!

There is no anything that I don’t like about this. I have to stay a bit longer next time because the location is fantastic and the price is affordable!

This hostel is a very good place to stay in Sydney, the rooftop being my favourite spot to chill and enjoy the warming sun. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Located in the vibrant district of King’s Cross and at the same time, away from the night noises, it is like a warm cocoon at a walking distance from the city. The crowd is also very friendly and the good vibes make it easy to create connexions with each other.

The things that I liked the most living almost 6 months were that any doubts or problems that there were, these were managed and resolved as soon as possible. As for the pieces with the people that I shared, there was no problem. As for common spaces, the kitchen can be occupied 24/7, which was quite useful for me when arriving late or getting up early to go to work and having to prepare something.

The washing machines sometimes had problems or the showers, but again, the solution was managed in a timely manner

property was very clean, organized, and such a fun atmosphere to live in! Along with all the staff being approachable and available to help whenever needed! With the amazing location and quiet neighborhood, I would definitely recommend staying at mad monkey bayswater!!

Mad Monkey Bayswater is more like a family than a hostel, Every night the staff organise a group event such as BBQ night, Bingo night, Cheese and Wine night etc. So even if you are travelling on your own will never feel alone :) Good facilities such as movie room, roof top and free gym pass. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will miss everyone here !!

the staff here are so nice and will help you with anything, the common areas are great and varied. there is a good system for storing food as everyone gets their own box and you are given your own plate and cutlery etc when you arrive. the social events are really fun and well organised and the free gym is great. this is my favourite hostel in Sydney.

on the second floor there is only one toilet which is a bit inconvenient

Really nice people and they even have an air fryer. I think it’s perfect to stay there. It’s really clean and comfortable. The free gym pass is also nice.

The kitchen is a bit too small for the hostel. But it has all the Equipment! Would definitely stay here again!

Great hostel, I've been here for a month and everything is going well. The place is clean, the kitchen is fully equipped, and events happen all week long. Awesome!

I booked specifically because of the rooftop and the tv-room. When I arrived I was surprised that the hostel is overall really good. The location is perfect, staff is very friendly and it’s very social.

I stayed way too short! Will definitely come back :)
