The location is great as it is only a short walk to the kings cross train station. There are a lot of small restaurants and cafes located near the hotel where you can get amazing coffee and breakfast. The standard room is quite small so I would recommend an upgrade to the premium room. The hotel offers great value for money. Very comfortable bed.
In this price range the hotel is probably unbeatable. However, there are a few smaller drawbacks. Our room did not have a very nice view out of the window as it was into a back alley. There is no elevator, but the staff is willing to help you carry the luggage and there are only two stories. The faucets in the bathroom are a bit squeaky.

The Staff were very Friendly Taxi service good Airport taxi service good
I have stayed at the Kirton twice , a year apart because it is close to the St Vincent Pivate Hospital because i require surgery there. i travel form NZ, After this surgery i was told to go back to New Zealand promptly . Then breaking my intended stay now leaving on the Saturday, i had planned to book through Booking .com to go to Brisbane for 2 weeks needing flight and accomodation. BUT no i asked for refund on the 2 days remaining BUT NO i was told the Kirkton had not been . and no refund available. N0 / 2 Music thumping at night not loud but annoying. A lift in the building would be good. No / 3 THe resturant opens too late and closes too early so i went to a local place for breakfasts

The Hotel Room was a little run down, but satisfactory, the staff were nice and helpful and I would be happy to stay in the room that we had again, though the first room they offered was the room below what we booked. quickly fixed though, so no issue. All in all 8.5//10.
The bathroom was a little long in the tooth, it needs a reovation. light next to my bed did not work. bedding and towles changed every day and new teas and coffee added to the room daily also. Friendly staff good location, very comfatable. Would use it again.

Very comfortable bed. great location close to kings cross train station and coles & woolworths. very friendly staff, especially the lady at reception. great value for money.
No view for the room i was in. not able to open a window except for the small one in the bathroom. sink was built strangely so some water would always sit in the sink instead of draining completely. Walls very thin, could hear the people next door talking all night.

Breakfast was wonderful and the coffee perfect. Location was terrific, close to transport and Oxford street. Very quiet. Showerhead was wide and water piping hot. Staff were really nice and very friendly.
Room appeared much larger and more modern on the website. Beds were a little uncomfortable especially the trundle. Air con was outdated and not terribly efficient. Shelf in shower was broken. Loose Power Points. Couldn’t open the doors to the street as they hit the bulkhead.

I had an amazing stay at Kirketon Hotel Sydney! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The location is unbeatable, within walking distance to the CBD and St Vincent's Hospital, which was very convenient for my visit. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Given its prime location and the quality of service, it offers exceptional value for money. I'll definitely come back!

The room was of a good size for a city hotel. The bed was excellent - nice sheets, good size and comfortably sprung. The staff were very accommodating. We left some toiletries behind after checking out and they were kind enough to issue a swipe card so we could go in before the cleaners made it to the room.
The bathroom was a bit narrow - not a problem for us but we could imagine a larger person may have found it difficult, particularly as the mosaic tiles had sharp edges. If ran your knuckle by the wall accidentally, it drew blood. Rain shower heads are a poxy way to have a shower - you can't stand up straight unless you want water in your eyes. The nearby parking was a short 400m away but most of the parking in the station is marked as private. We grabbed the last spot in the entire car park, and we arrived at 3:00 PM.

Front desk staff was super helpful and went the extra mile to accommodate a request I made. Polite and professional. It's a sweet location, the rooms do what they say on the tin, and are secure and clean - the two I've stayed in when I've been there have been, so that's what I'm basing this on. Hard to find better for the price
Parking is tough - but that's not on the hotel, that's just Sydney city

The Kirketon is good value hotel for the price. It is a very short walk to Kings Cross Train Station giving you easy access to the city and other areas. It is close to many cafes and restaurants and has clean, rooms with all the basics you need.
The rooms at the Kirketon are often on the smaller side, and the hotel only has steps no lift which may be an inconvenience for some people.

Clean, great shower! Basic facilities were good. Providing you are not spending a great deal of time in your room, this is a really good place to stay. Loved Jamy’s kitchen next door for breakfast. Really good food and service.
We had the cheapest possible room and it was very small! Hotel lacks charm, but if you are mainly out and about that’s no problem! Disconcertingly, there are large mirrors everywhere, including along the hallways and at the head of the bed! This may be a ‘plus’ for some guests!!!🤣 Supplies (tea bags, toiletries etc) were a bit on the ‘mean’ side and certainly not sufficient for two people!
