The location is perfect and ideal in the heart of Kings Cross with easy access to transportation, food, museums & park & laundry mat. It’s made exploring the city with no hassle. The room is perfect for two! The amenities are easy to use & it’s clear cut. The balcony view is stunning for sunrise dinners and to take in the view. The bed is top notch! Usually they are either too soft or hard but it’s been perfect & the bedding is so comfy. The rooms don’t echo sound when some accomodations do. We couldn’t heard our neighbours or people walking up and down the only sound was outside as the city woke up. I love the simple key access to the room and that property access and wifi are instructed when you check in. The staff are so lovely & went above any standard. We had issues with re-booking and they were so kind to allow us to stay in the same room instead of changing. If I had a query for more towels, toilet paper or where to find something it was answered quickly and kindly & have made our stay so lovely and a place we’d come back to easy!

The stairs are a bit narrow. Only as I’m pregnant I get tired easily but it’s not a major issue at all! The support railings are there, the hallways are well lit and there are only 3 flights. Walking up and down isn’t a hassle or a long trek it’s maybe takes a minuet if that which is great.

I had such a lovely stay at Sydney Boutique Hotel! The location was super convenient, and the room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. A special shoutout to Sam at reception—he was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made check-in feel so welcoming. He gave great tips about the area and really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. You can tell he genuinely cares about the guests! It’s a charming place with great service, and I’d definitely come back again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Sydney and wanting a more personal, boutique experience!

The room was small, as expected from the photos, but it was very clean,comfortable,and had everything I needed. The balcony was a bonus. It was on the third floor, but without being asked, Sam the receptionist carried up my suitcase. I loved being a 20 minute walk from the CBD, but in a more local area. Nice coffee shops, old houses, churches etc. I would stay here again. Great $25 taxi option direct to airport too. The driver arrived on time and was very professional.

The welcome was very warm and the guy on reception was super helpful from the get go. Nothing was too much trouble. My room was lovely and the hotel makes the most of its wonderful setting. Everything worked and the bed was super comfortable. Ability to book the shuttle to the airport was also very helpful

I think it is important to be aware that the reception isn't staffed full time (although arrangements for this period are in place in case you need to contact someone urgently) - it isn't for everyone. The corridors and shared spaces could do with a refresh.

Excellent value for money and location,

The toilet flush was not strong enough, which caused me a lot of inconvenience. The stairs are very narrow and the floor is a bit brittle. I admit that I was scared a few times when going up or down with something in my hand that blocked the view. The standard room was simple and comfortable, and there was nothing wrong with that, but it was not the same photo that appeared on the website.

We stayed one night in this hotel. After hours check in procedure made entry so easy late at night. We were given clear instructions & even a video! Room is small but has all we needed. Who comes to Sydney to sit in a hotel room anyway! Nice big comfy bed. It was very clean & we appreciated the quality bathroom products. Great price for this accommodation, so close to city. Really friendly & helpful staff. Thanks so much.

If I have to make any suggestion here it would be to put some air fresheners in the stairwell as there is a musty smell, but we get this is an old renovated building & this did not affect our stay in any way.

Great location - just a short walk from Kings Cross Station and close to restaurants and bars; comfortable bed and good shower; good staff also

There is no lift so you need to drag bags up flights of stairs; very narrow passage into the building also (but that can be navigated); it was a very hot day so carrying the luggage up two flights of stairs with unexpected - but other than that - great place to stay in Sydney

This is a fabulous, good-value and modern stay for the solo traveller or couple. I love the location - it's close to Kings Cross Station, loads of delicious eats and bars, along with quirky shops. The room is fresh, light-filled and the bed is huge and comfy. I stayed in a balcony room, and had a lovely time watching the street goings on and having a cup of tea out there in the morning. A nice, quiet room to sleep in and the bathroom is modern, with lovely L'Occitane products. Highly recommended!

The location and value for money is excellent. Also the staff are super friendly and helpful - Dom went above and beyond to help me retrieve my phone after I left it behind

Unfortunately the noise from the street outside woke me up at 3am and kept me awake for over an hour. I would also have loved a black out blind in the bathroom so that the room is not so lit up at night when you’re trying to sleep

I had a wonderful stay, the room met my expectations. Clean, warm and the bed was extremely comfortable. Location was perfect, close to public transport, and great places for food and coffee. The highlight was certainly the customer service. I was made to feel warmly welcomed and well informed about Sydney, the attractions and what I could do.

These are out of the accommodations control, but other patrons were extremely noisy during my stay. Also some outside noise from the street.
