We were thrilled with: the room, (very clean and tidy, not huge but big enough); the bed (we like a soft bed and it was wonderful.. not too soft but not a rock like you get in some hotels); they don't have breakfast... but they do!... free coffee machine in a nice foyer, together with free fruit, and pastries in the morning! The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Don't miss the cute cafe down the end of William Street (a lovely street to walk along too) about a 5 min walk. The 333 bus stop is about 100m up the road and is fantastic for getting into the main part of the city (Hyde Park and Museum Train Station-direct train to the Airports), then the bus goes all the way to Circular Quay! (bus comes about every 5 mins!!) If you are going to an event at Allianz Stadium, this hotel is perfect as it's only a 6min walk and you don't get stuck in the traffic! Thanks to the staff at Mrs Banks Hotel, a fabulous stay, and you have probably guessed, we highly recommend it!!

Absolutely adored this hotel for multiple reasons. Firstly the team running the show are all wonderful warm professional individuals. Everyone we dealt with could not have been nicer. The location is perfect. Smack bang on Oxford street surrounded by coffee houses, interesting shops and many a good eatery. Also this position affords it excellent transportation options including a bus stop about 2 minutes walk, jump on the 333 and you can be in the city in about 15 minutes. The hotel has a beautiful reception which also doubles as a lounge area with free tea, coffee and fruit and in the mornings they provide lovely warm pastries. The rooms are very well appointed. We stayed in a standard double with a very comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of luggage and hanging space and a lovely large bathroom. To add to that each room has a fridge, kettle and Nespresso machine. I would also point out that even though this hotel is in a very busy area it is very well sound proofed and wonderfully serene when you get inside its doors. We could not have been happier. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

Location was fantastic, check-in and out was very easy and efficient, with very helpful and charming staff any time you needed anything. Amenities were good and service excellent

The bathroom needed a shelf/cupboard for a bit more storage and places to put things and a few more hanging hooks either behind the door or on the wall which would allow you to hang clothes while in the shower otherwise there is only the floor or the toilet seat!

The hotel is just that... a boutique hotel. The owner Dillon and his staff were exceptionally warm and made our group feel very welcome. It was so lovely to be able to use the facilities ( kitchen/ dining / lounge area when we wanted ie to meet and have a drink with friends. There was also coffee, tea facilities and fresh fruit and pastries every morning. It was just nice chatting to the reception staff and we were given great information on where to eat and shopping. The area itself is fantastic for the above. Paddington is a really fantastic area to do the above or just go for a stroll. The hotel was very comfortable. Everything was spotless and the ambience was very relaxing. It was home from home and I would highly recommend it.

It was all fantastic

Check in and out was very easy. The staff were happy to answer questions about public transport. The bed was nice and soft. The aircon was great. The location was very good, it's in between 2 bus stops. There wasn't a breakfast supplied as such, but there was fresh fruit, croissants and coffee available to grab.

There's a mood light in the bathroom that's activated by movement (I think). A switch to turn this off would have been nice. The milk provided was past it's due date, something I didn't realize until I reached the end of my coffee.

It was a good location for us as we had relations living in Paddington who we were visiting. As we were out most of the time we did not need a harbor view or any fancy facilities, so your hotel filled all the boxes for our purposes. In addition your staff were very helpful and responsive when information was required or any special requests made. We would recommend it for anyone with similar requirements.

All generally good. As mentioned we had particular interests in the Paddington area and particularly nearby the Hotel so it was quite suitable for our purposes.

The location was perfect. Paddington is SO cool with lots of interesting independent shops, pubs and great restaurants. The 333 bus goes one way to the Circular Quay - the Opera House - and the other way to Bondi Beach and the bus stops are virtually outside the hotel door. And the public transport is very cheap too!

The staff were all helpful but some more helpful than others. We were given some great restaurant and tourist advice whilst other members of staff were more hesitant and unsure. This is an easy fix!!

Fantastic location in the heart of Paddington! Concierge was extremely helpful and pleasant. He gave great recommendations for places to eat. Wonderful service! Room was tidy and well equipped. Would definitely recommend!

My only, very minor issue was some brown stains on the toilet seat. At first it looked like it wasn’t clean but I tried to clean it off and it appears to be some sort of stain on the plastic seat. Should probably replace the toilet seat so it looks a bit more presentable. Otherwise, the room was very tidy and clean. Would still recommend!

It is a cozy place, being a refurbished property which previously housed a bank, hence the name of the hotel. Location is perfect and very convenient to commute by bus e.g. to city, Circular Quay and Bondi beach. Love the Victorian architecture that is being conserved in the various properties in Paddington. Hotel has a cozy sitting-cum-eating area, where you can help yourselves to free coffee, tea, biscuits, pastries, and fruits.

Frankly speaking, nothing comes to mind. It was a good first accommodation to start with in Paddington, before we moved on to our second accommodation in the CBD.

So glad we chose Mrs Banks for our long weekend in Sydney for a concert at Allianz. Quick to reach from the airport by Uber and a short 5 minute walk to the stadium. The bus to Circular Quay and Bondi Junction stopped just outside and was really convenient. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Loved the little pain au chocolate for breakfast. Super comfy beds and great bathroom amenities. We would definitely stay here when we’re next in Sydney.
