The room was beautifully kept & the roof top pool is dreamy!! On the other side of the roof level there is a kitchen: coffee machine, cookies & fruit/tea options with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating facing the ocean and headland. We had the space to ourselves most mornings and night so it was like our own private restaurant with a stunning sea breeze and sounds. They even have a Bluetooth speaker so you can play tunes while you enjoy dinner on the roof. Location is at the top of the hill- steep walk down to town centre. Great exercise! There is a cafe a few meters away, or walk down to the beach and another cafe is hiding below the surf club overlooking the ocean. We hired out the free e-bikes for a few hours- fun way to get around. Truly can’t wait to stay here again- it felt special.

Loved everything about this property. Location is perfect right near the beach & also easy walk to restaurants & bars. The service was impeccable & loved the little things like the welcome note, complimentary mini bar drinks & food plus the coffee, fruit & biscuits in the rooftop area. Pool on the rooftop overlooking the beach is amazing plus if you go during the colder months there is a great inside viewing area where you can sit & enjoy the views over a coffee or wine with speaker to play your own tunes. A must stay if you are visiting Yamba!

Only downside for us was we only booked one night on our travels through. Will have to come back to stay longer in the warmer months.

Stayed here with my family using 6 rooms for my daughters wedding. Having access to the upstairs general area was an absolute bonus and made our stay so much more comfortable. The Surf was close to everything we needed, restaurants and the beach, as well as the Pacific Hotel. The pool area was so very relaxing and a great space. Garry on the desk was very helpful when we needed him for our small extras. The ladies cleaning were superstars and helpful delivering food that we ordered via the website links that Garry supplied to us.

I thought the fridges in the room were a little on the small side, otherwise the rooms and amenities were beautiful. Can't wait to stay again.

The Surf Yamba was such a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are perfectly designed and only the best in linen etc Beds /pillows are very comfortable, and a complimentary mini bar. We borrowed the e bikes that are available on the premises and rode around Yamba which was fantastic. The rooftop facilities are amazing... the views over the ocean are calming and just what you have access to up there is like nowhere else we have stayed. You have access to complimentary teas/coffees,byron bay cookies ,filtered water, icemaker and much more. There are books to read and games supplied to play, with plenty of comfortable seating inside and out, depending on what the weather is like. Garry was great from the word go. He had sent a message offering an early check in, set us up for use of the e bikes and always friendly and helpful throughout our wonderful stay. We will definitely be back here to stay as it is such a great experience Thankyou Surf Yamba you are definately unique and special...

Love this accom so much. It was our 3rd stay. Yamba is the sweetest little town, and this hotel is a whole destination in itself. We booked Christmas week, with our young adult children and just wanted to enjoy some quiet time and show them around. Unfortunately, you can’t control who you are staying along side of, and we had the rudest, large family stay at the same time. They weren’t all guests of the surf. However, they came from other rentals to use the amenities, and took over almost every rec space they could. Which hampered the stay of everyone else there. I felt that they should have been scolded by management a little more. Unfortunately, money doesn’t buy class or manners and people will usually disappoint, and it really put a dampener on our trip. Especially Christmas Day.

The property is stunning.

Right next to the main Yamba beach but close to walk to other beaches as well. Easy walk into town for supplies. The room had all these really thoughtful little touches that went above and beyond (espresso machine, bath bomb, free snacks, etc). Front desk reached out early via WhatsApp to let me know I could do early check-in which was really thoughtful. Rooftop pool feels luxury with the view and they have a back terrace that is quieter if pool side is busy. Really just loved my room and the view and Yamba in general!

It's a small business/building so it doesn't have all the infrastructure quite there (parking garage was full so my car sat in hot sun all day with beach go-ers), only two bikes which were already borrowed when I arrived, front-desk is very part-time so tough to get recommendations or ask questions). The room is so nicely appointed and town is so small that it kind of doesn't matter, but just a note it was a bit surprising for me given price point. I could only snag one night here, but ended up being for the best because I moved to another spot 1 block away for 1/3 the price - not as nice so happy I got to experience the Surf!

I LOVED staying at The Surf, Yamba! The property has truly thought of everything to make your stay unforgettable. The solar-heated rooftop pool has breathtaking views and is just a stone's throw from the main beach. I loved the freedom to bring my own drinks or food to the rooftop lounge area. Also appreciated the complimentary Byron Bay cookies and fresh apples. The bedroom was a stylish oasis, complete with an ultra-comfy bed and was very quiet. The front desk manager, Gary, was an absolute gem – friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. I can't wait until I can return to The Surf, Yamba. I highly recommend this incredible property to anyone an unforgettable getaway.

Perhaps some umbrellas in the rooftop lounge area.

The layout, comfort & functionality of the room were great for a 7-night stay. The 3rd floor facilities - the heated pool was appreciated as the beaches were not swimmable during our visit - the indoor and outdoor lounge areas were well equipped and comfortable spaces to sit have a drink/snack & enjoy the view were great. Undercover parking was an advantage, particularly when it was raining.

The rates are quite high for a place that does not serve food.

The Surf Yamba was exceptionally luxe!! From when you walk in the smell makes you take a breath in then an exhale into relaxation. Our room was beautiful, clean and well styled. We had a big balcony with greenery and table and chairs to chill out. The pool on the roof was so amazing with a view more stunning than I can describe in words. On the other side of the roof is an area with tea and coffee making facilities, games, lounges and the perfect spot to watch the sun rise. A short walk down to the kiosk on the beach was the perfect spot for breakfast. Overall there is not one thing I could fault, it was so beautiful and we loved our stay here.

Our welcome was warm and helpful. The parking was very convenient. We were delighted with the cleanliness and thoughtfully laid out room in what was obviously a new building. It had been well designed to ensure every comfort, with excellent provision for placement of luggage and very good lighting. Our room had sea views and a pleasant terrace, it was possible to open the sliding doors and get good fresh air inside. The terrace upstairs was very well provided with food choices and great sea views, we enjoyed dining there on a very generous platter which we pre-ordered. We saw the Harvest Moon rise over the sea, big and red, which was an unexpected side benefit. Checking out was easy and as we packed the car in the parking under the building the cleaners brought me something I had inadvertently left in the room, which was most appreciated!

We liked everything about the room and its layout, but a warning strip to indicate that there is a small step down into the shower area would have been helpful, I tripped and nearly fell because I wasn't expecting a difference in floor level.
