Ian and Helen have created a little oasis in Alice Springs. It's called a B&B but it's so much more. There are 3 double bedrooms in self contained areas for privacy . There is a common kitchen area for you to prepare your own dinners if required and 3 separate BBQ areas for quests. The breakfasts are fantastic with everything you could wish for, and Helen makes the most amazing muffins. If you are looking to get away from the hotel experience in your red centre holiday then this is the place to stay We could not have a higher recommendation.
Nothing negative to report it was perfect

The five of us stayed for 4 nights, and it was fabulous. We essentially had the entire house to ourselves (3 bedrooms) and the facilities are great. The bedrooms were great, as were the kitchen and lounge. Not to mention the three separate decks and the swimming pool. At first the location seemed a bit remote (in the northern most suburb of Alice) thus you need your own car, but even that ended up being a plus. The garden and pool backed on to a hill top, and on two of the four days a kangaroo came right down within 3 meters of the back fence to drink out of a water hole. The breakfasts were great as well. we could not have asked for more.

This place was my dream home! Helen and Ian have created a wonderful home that is absolutely beautifully decorated…inside and out! The pool and gardens were a little oasis. They set out provision for a breakfast feast each morning. The kitchen was well stalked with everything you needed to cook dinner if you don’t want to go to a restaurant. They were extremely helpful in their recommendations for local attractions and assisting with logistics. I would rate this place as a 15 out of 10 if I could. I far surpassed all other accommodations we stayed during our month in Australia!
No negatives whatsoever

The hosts could not do enough for us. Very friendly and welcoming. The house is exceptionally well set up. We had the upstairs wing, which had a large bedroom, full ensuite, separate lounge and private balcony. The breakfasts were amazing. Eggs, bacon, mushrooms, haloumi, tomatoes, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruits and homemade muffins. Delicious. Would not consider staying anywhere else. Do yourself a favour and try this fabulous home stay, you won't regret it.
There is nothing we didn't like. Highly recommend this property.

Helen and Ian’s place is a little private oasis and they have taken such trouble to ensure their guests are comfortable and cared for. The garden at the back is beautifully peaceful and there’s a little pool guests can use to cool down. When we arrived we were lucky enough to see a kangaroo on open scrubland on the other side of the fence at the back of the garden. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and it was peaceful and quiet. Couldn’t have asked for anything better after a long drive from Kings Canyon

Fabulous bnb! Helen and Ian great hosts! Comfortable, large rooms with private bath and ac. Beautiful house, several outdoor eating areas, huge kitchen. Incredible breakfast with yogurt, fruit, eggs, bacon, breads and muffins along with veggies for omelets. Several folders with extensive area and hiking info. One of best bnbs we've ever visited. Free parking. Good wifi. Great restaurant recommendations ..make reservations at Hanuman's in Double Tree Hotel!
Coffee maker a bit complicated but Helen there to provide assistance!

The fact they had free bikes was a plus as the accomodation is not too close to the city, but with the bikes it took us about 20 minutes. The decoration was super nice and they offered little useful toiletries and food for breakfast. The owners live in the property but on the outside house, so you don’t feel they are right in your face. The muffins and fruits on the breakfast was great - but if you want cooked breakfast you have to do it yourself.
When we checked in, the person welcoming was super cold, the guy seemed to be taken out of a nap and it was grumpy because of it - unfortunately first impressions are still a thing when comes to customer service (Helen was nice and super warm though so it counter balanced). Not so sure about the DIY concept on the breakfast, we weren’t sure if we supposed to use the pots and stove, but then Helen came and explained later.

Ian and Helen are very kind hosts, who give you all the privacy you need, but are there when you need them. Everything is very well maintained, and the house is very well equipped, allmost everything is thought of. Helen also has an eye for detail and does her very best to make it feel like a cosy home for the guests. Breakfast is also really nice with a lot of fresh ingrediënts, and amazing homemade muffins. When you are in the backyard, you have a big chance of spotting a kangaroo or other animals coming for a drink right outside the fence. If we ever visit Alice Springs again, we will definitely come back to this place!

Breakfast for a king! Extensive choice, fresh fruit, cereals or cooked breakfast. Freshly baked muffins every day, so help yourself. Helen thinks of everything. An oasis. A beautiful house, fantastic hosts, large, comfortable with absolutely all amenities. Pool, and Ian lights the outside fire each night on the large terrace. Nothing is too much trouble and the attention to detail is amazing. Will come back again…and again. Thanks for a memorable stay. Very interesting books on the area and Aboriginal history.
Nothing at all.

Helen and Ian are just the most accommodating hosts even down to bring out a small throw rug to use while we sat out side near the pool after our BBQ. The room was spacious and we had our own sitting room and large balcony. The Breakfast that was provided every morning was nothing short of amazing. Helen makes the most delicious muffins which are very hard to go past in the morning with a coffee or tea. The property is amazing and in a great location. Thanks for a wonderful stay Helen and Ian
