Great ultra quiet location, beautiful gardens and lots of places to sit and relax. Friendly staff with tips on things to do. We had Orchard Room which was nicely appointed. The real unexpected treasure was the communal kitchen and BBQ which had everything you could want including a supply of herbs/spices and oil. A number of board games and puzzles were also available. I also enjoyed the lack of TV.

The bed was comfy but a little soft for my needs. The only other slight problem was a damp smell in the bathroom, but we left the windows open and this helped. A suggestion- The night was cold and would have been great if there was a community fireplace

It was a different but unique experience and very basic but so quiet! The train carriages behind was a new experience for us, and sleeping in an old church certainly was different. It was very clean, and there was a great location close to the lookout and the shops. There is a local tavern a short drive away, but we got the pizza! Which was massive for 2 people! Mattress was comfortable, and the grounds were lovely to walk around. Aircon was superbly warm all night. Was a shock, NO TV or reception, but a blessing in disguise also! Great cooking shared cooking facilities, and nice fresh vegetarian breakfast $15.00 per person. The location was terrific, especially for those going to discover the surrounding areas, such as The Ginger Factory, Amaze, Australia Zoo, Maroochydore Beach, and The Big Pineapple!

Pillows were the worst and no fitted sheet on the bed.

There were train carriages - yes train carriages that have been converted into a kitchen with everything you could possibly need, and a dining area with tables and chairs inside the carriage. There is an original train/coach seat the full width of the carriage, with original baggage racks that are used to store books and games. There is a covered deck next to the train carriages with more tables. There are m any quirky little sculptures made out of bits and pieces of metal, and quirky signs. The rooms are so quiet you could hear a snail sneeze. We booked a family room with DB, and there were bunks in the other room. The beds are a little dated, but the bedside tables are hand made and very heavy. There were really good quality towels.

The shower floor was extremely slippery so we had to put a hand towel on the shower bay floor for safety.

Fantastic location and facilities were great. It was so peaceful and quiet for a weekend away. The unique character with the train carriages, well kept grounds/ orchard and cool signs was so neat. A friendly welcome and staff were super helpful. I loved the environmentally conscious focus.

Neighbours were smoking weed, the smell came through the windows unfortunately. Soft furnishings and bath towel smelt a little like someone else's body odour. Some nice friendly cockroaches came for a visit overnight (which is not unexpected given it's a bush setting!) The lighting could be improved by using uplights in the living area facing the ceiling, instead of glaring downwards.

We 4 cycled in from Mooloolaba. We shared a family room which was two bedrooms. The main bedroom had a very comfortable queen bed, fridge, tea making facilities and a lounge. Separated by a bathroom was another bedroom and a mezzanine bedroom upstairs with a single bed in each room. All very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room to relax on verandas, in the gardens, outside and inside shared eating areas. All very clean. Plenty of fridge space if self-catering. Great breakfast of cereals, fresh fruit, eggs, toast, spreads, coffee, tea and juice. Sally was very professional, efficient and friendly. Lovely gardens to explore and walk in. So close to Tibrogargan to climb or walk to. Glass House village is a 10 minute drive. There is a Traven, bakery, BWS, IGA etc. Great place to stay and coming back to stay in a train carriage.

Keith was a friendly, attentive host who made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend the breakfast featuring many of the tropical fruits growing on the grounds! Wish we’d had more time to explore and in less oppressive heat. We’d already been but would recommend as a base for a night or two if visiting Australia Zoo up the road. A short drive to Glasshouse Mountains Village for provisions or dinner at the Glasshouse Tavern. The communal kitchen in a railway carriage looked great.

Large property with fun creek walk, orchards, wildlife, and charming rooms with large deck with sofas for lounging. Dinning area is super cute 1950’s train carriage with fully kitted kitchen: 2 fridges, gas stove, all the accessories and condiments, oils, spices for your use. Property is walking distance to Tibrogaran walk track. The best part was The owner Keith-he has cool recycled art on display and is super helpful. We arrived right before the cyclone and he drove to the tavern where we were eating to escort us back in the torrential rain. And then he made sure we had food while we waited out the storm. Thank you Keith!

Nothing not to like

I loved learning about Keith's vision in the creation of the ecolodge, how he repurposed a church and a train carriage into lodgings and a kitchen. I also enjoyed the peace and serenity of the place and the integration of nature into the grounds of the ecolodge but also the use of wood on the property to make bedroom furniture. Guests were well catered for, and the focus on local products was great.

The only thing was that I had my own portable prepaid internet and was unable to use it within the room so had to log onto the accommodation internet that had excellent coverage, so really, no complaints.

This is a gem in the beautiful hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. The owner, Keith, is a legend. He has restored this very special spot into an amazing collection of rooms, relaxation spots, breakfast / kitchen area, and hidden walks. Art and sculptures have been dotted around the property, along with wonderful plants, and quirky signs. We also met Sally, who works alongside Keith. Super welcoming and friendly, she made us feel right at home. Thank you both for a wonderful stay. Hope to visit again in the future. The property is a short drive to stunning hikes, beautiful towns, quirky shops, and much more. Highly recommend a stay at Glass House Mountains Eco Lodge.

Nothing, it was amazing

The lodge and train carriages used for eating and meeting were so welcoming. Fun to use and nature so close, you felt like one. The grounds with its lovely orchards, trees, and gardens made a stroll around magical. The rooms were a good size, the bed comfy and everything needed was there. All the lovely wooden furniture made you feel again part of nature. Sally, from the first second of arrival, made you feel one of the family (which was great cos I travelled solo). She gave me good advice on things to see, was keen to get to know me, and shared as well. Standing on the verandah, seeing Tibrogargan rising just as few kilometres away, for me, was magical.

I can't think of anything. It was all I expected and more.
