Pelican Waters Resort is a hidden gem on the edge of a new and leafy residential area only 10 minutes' drive from the Esplanade at Golden Beach. The large swimming pools were fantastic! Clean and well-maintained, the main infinity pool had sparkling water and overlooked a beautiful golf course and creek with pink water lilies. The breakfast and dining area also had beautiful views. For budget reasons, we chose a room facing the front car park (rather than the pool) but even that view was extremely pleasant thanks to the curated landscaping and the Fox-Tail Palm trees in front of the balcony. We had a delicious Thai Buffet at the downstairs restaurant which was very reasonably priced. There are also some fish taverns and Woolworths and Coles at the local Marina 5 minutes away from the resort. The price was incredibly good given that it was the Australia Day Long Weekend and that the facilities were so good. We will recommend this resort to everyone and go back again!

The mattress wasn't the best quality, the air conditioning in the room was too loud, and it wasn't easy to adjust the room temperature. We decided to remove the card from the slot near the door during the night to turn off the loud aircon. This way the room was very peaceful and we managed to sleep well.

The view, pool, restaurant food, the apartment was great with a spacious balcony.

I feel some of the reception staff need encouragement/training on being more friendly and engaging with guests. Some extra smiles, a pleasant "good morning" would go a long way. Another guest commented on the same thing.

The one bedroom apartment we had was nice. Number 210. Looks over the pool and golf course. Very spacious, good kitchen. The bathroom was set up for disabled people with a fixed shower seat and handrails. The door into the unit was of its hinges and was fixed promptly. Good customer service

One bedroom window behind the bed had only slat blind. The daylight came in and woke us up every morning. There was no window cover over the lower part. The tiles on shower floor needed cleaning as they were slippery and slimy when wet. Didn't like having to wait at reception until I was noticed in camera and then front of house attendant came out. Long wait at times. No notice to say please wait. Just looks unattended.

Pool views and the lake/golf course. Lovely balcony that was private and peaceful. Room was spacious and clean. Underground secure parking is an excellent facility. Overall, modern facilities and great value accommodation.

The airconditioning in our room was fixed at 17.5-18 degrees. Super cold, like being in a freezer. I rang reception and reported it and I was told they’d send someone to look at it, but when I arrived back in the afternoon it was still set at the same temperature. Made for very uncomfortable nights and gave me a chill. We were in room 315

I have stayed at the resort as a little treat for myself traveling between two places and really enjoyed my time. There is so much potential for this place, I feel it's not fully appreciated. This is a multi purpose building both as holiday rental and residential. The staff were wonderful very hard-working people. Felt that more staff could have been employed. All the areas and facilities are generous in size. The apartment was big, I have received a very nice 4th floor apartment overlooking the pool area. I do believe that there is huge potential for this place but there is a little bit of room for improvement. In saying that, I had a wonderful stay.

My room had an awful smell, of what I believe mould, from either the A/C unit or actual furnishings. No matter the origin, it was unpleasant especially trying to sleep and I hope it's addressed. Another small issue is that the outdoor smoking area downstairs is directly underneath residencies and so anyone who opposes cigarette smoke would be inconvenienced. I think that area needs to move from anywhere with a window/balcony to apartments.

Lovely clean room, looked like it had been renovated recently. Big modern bathroom. Balcony with table and seating so that you could relax and enjoy the wonderful view over pool across to the golf course.

No microwave to enable us to heat up our food (not everyone wants to eat at the restaurant. Really noisy ducted air conditioning - made it difficult to hear the TV without having to put the volume up loud, and it made it difficult to fall asleep. The restaurant could be improved with more food options for dinner than just Thai and pizza.

Minor points but need attention Apartment we stayed in needed a clothes dryer - particularly for more than 2 night stays. I can see it did have one as a vent hole to ceiling in laundry QLD tropical often damp, rains or humid means balcony does dry clothes overnight. We are not staying in an apartment to have to drive every 2nd day to town to a laundromat to wash and dry sporting /clothes daily. 2 new toilet seats needed- current are old badly stained yellow unpleasant as the rest of the bathroom is excellent - at Bunnings not expensive Noted 2 smaller damage holes in walls when we arrived looked poorly - one near fridge one in main living or smaller twin bedroom from memory - patch and paint as it’s more welcoming bc rest of apartment well appointed comfortable

Lovely setting next to golf course. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The tv in our room didn’t work and we wanted to watch the State of Origin match. The young guy from the restaurant, as reception was closed, came up to fix it. Had the Thai cuisine our first night and pizzas the second. Both very enjoyable, reasonably priced and good quality.

Paper cups provided for coffee were terrible. Twice when we used them they leaked hot coffee over the desk area. This is dangerous and could cause scalding. Crockery plates, dishes and metal cutlery are provided so why no pottery mugs or cups? We actually went out and bought a fun pottery cup to avoid any more mishaps with the leaky plastic ones provided. Reception closed at 4pm and last orders for dinner were 7.45pm.

Beautiful resort in excellent location close to lots of attractions, supermarkets and shops not too far. We absolutely loved staying here. Tucked away from the busy then waking up with gorgeous views of golf course and ranges. Rooms are so clean, comfortable and modern. Pool was fantastic and infinity edge was a special touch. On-site amenities are available, (nail salon and hairdressers, restaurant). We had the most relaxing time swimming, doing day trips and eating on our balcony as the sunset. We will definitely return.

We would have loved a few more options on the poolside menu, as currently only pizzas and drinks are available. ( pizzas are delicious) We also felt the pool should have somebody checking it more often as a couple of times guests were doing backflips off the side walls and ruining the experience for other guests. A few more sun-lounges that are a bit more sturdy would just make it overall special. The resort is quiet and you can really relax and have that holiday feeling and picks up a bit more on the weekends. We found the staff approachable but they seemed to be trying to balance a few too many things at once so potentially extra staff on the weekends might help a bit.

Wonderful quiet location with peaceful,calm views!!! Staff were great- friendly & helpful - the rooms were serviced every 3rd day with clean up of Bathroom & Kitchen & bins emptied (2nd clean) & clean Towels & extra washing detergent & Clothes (Washing machine) detergent provided as well as tea, coffee & sugar supplies re- stocked! We dined at the Thai Restaurant which was nice & has a great views across the pools & golf course! Coffee was lovely & hot also! Gym is well set up & the choice of Swimming pools is amazing! We are already looking to re-book next year!!

Bed could have been better/more Comfy & a few extra Utensils in the Kitchenette would have been handy- especially something to use to cook food/Vegetables in the Microwave!(Especially as no Oven!)
