Love the attention to detail and how clean it was. The bathroom was exceptional. He must have a great cleaning crew, plus he likes to keep things clean himself. The veges in the fridge and cereal, pasta and other food in the pantry are free to use. Love how the fruit and veges were displayed just beautiful. The kitchen was gorgeous, and you have another sink available in the bbq outdoor area. Lots of little nooks to eat privately or with little groups. The decor on the walls was amazing, great beach paintings or prints. Huge TV that has netflix and you tube. I loved the vegetable and herb garden out the back that anyone can pick from or do some gardening if they wish. Love the layout of the whole place. You can tell the owner is passionate about what he does and having people stayover. Just an amazing place. Woolworths is just next door!! There is a little fridge in the room or other fridges to use in the dining area for storage. I found a little side path that takes 5 mins to get to the beach/waterfront. It was a beautiful little walk along the water and so peaceful, such a great place to go if you want to distress. I stayed there overnight because of an event at the Caloundra civic centre. I also went and explored the shops nearby down the middle of the main street either side, great variety. I felt really safe staying there as a woman travelling alone. It was good value for money

The staff at Motel Sunshine could not go further out of their way to assist, make suggestions of the local area. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. If you like to be a social person this is a warm and welcoming place to stay. We found the experience enjoyable with the interaction that we had with other guests. Definitely a vibrant place to stay with someone always saying hi or just a quick chat. Motel Sunshine Coast offers multiple relaxed areas to sit, dine, chat, socialise or just simply chillout on your own. A relaxed atmosphere with all the amenities that are required. Excellent kitchen area, BBQ area, lounge area and pool table. Very close to the beaches.

Great vibes!!! Great place to spend the night, the owner is really nice and welcoming, and provides plenty of food for guests to cook. Great herb garden that you can use for cooking. The kitchen is large and has everything you need for cooking, the rooms are simple and cosy. Super recommended place.

Very well run yet extremely laid back hotel right next door to woolies. Quiet air con (with remote) security screens, blackout curtains and timber blinds outside windows with a comfy bed all make for a cool and easy sleep. Lots of places to sit and relax throughout. Showers have shower gel and lots of hooks which is essential! Smart tv with Netflix and YouTube, good size fridge in room. Bikes to borrow (free), pool table and BBQ. There is also a dedicated fridge and pantry for condiments, cereal, tea, coffee and food left behind by other guests which are available to use, which was great. Outdoor kitchen area is very handy too. Quite a few parks on site undercover. The staff are great and the common areas are very safe. They’ve thought of everything.

Was extremely clean throughout the entire place. Beds were very comfortable with clean linen and nice pillows. Air conditioning worked exceptionally well as it was 37 degrees. Was lucky enough to meet some absolutely amazing people staying there from all over the world it was a great experience for everyone even my 5 year old son made friends with kids and adults alike and can't wait to go back... It was very close to everything shops,fast food, pubs , clubs and the water front esplanade.

Didn't like having to leave the place and head back home to the grind..

Very clean! The room, shared bathroom facilities, and all common areas were very clean and well maintained. I felt safe and comfortable even though I was staying alone for the first time in my life. The property is next door to Woolworths which is very convenient and you can use the shared kitchen to cook and shared fridge to store any groceries if you wanted. There was also a big mini fridge in the room which was an added bonus that I wasnt expecting. The free wifi was also fast which is uncommon!

Other guests slamming/banging doors early in the morning which I understand is out of the control of the property however, it was unpleasant to be worken up multiple times each morning to slamming doors. Perhaps soft close hinges could help? But likley due to the nature of them being security doors, it might not be an option. Regardless, I would still stay here again!

It was a very friendly place to stay. It is nice to interact with other visitors in the shared kitchen and dining area. There was a large fridge for visitors to store their food and plenty of cooking equipment. The cereal for breakfast was also a nice bonus. The covered outdoor eating area was pleasant too. Even though it was winter we sat outside for our breakfast. The room was smallish (but fine for the price) and we had to walk the full length of the hallway to reach the shared bathrooms but that wasn't a problem. It was great having the large supermarket next door. Laundry facilities were available but we didn't use them.

The only thing I can find to 'complain' about was that the milk in the free section (left overs from past visitors) seemed to have passed the use-by date. (Unless I read it wrongly). However I was fine using water and yoghurt.

Every thing was all good until sleep time, this place is so noisy. This is just the nature of people unfortunately, they come and go as they are entitled to do so but for me, being unable to sleep at a hotel is a problem as that is what a hotel fundamentally should do, enable the guest to get a good nights sleep. There obviously is no solution as this is a Motel, so maybe next time I`ll just bring a massive pair of headphones! I had a nice time here over 2 days but I couldn`t sleep hardly

Very good value for money. The room is small but very clean and it has a comfortable bed, a TV and fridge and good storage space. Bathrooms are shared and clean. The location is very good - quite close to the beach, with a Woolworths and Dominoes pizza and Mexican takeaways around the corner. Glen, one of the hosts was very friendly and helpful. The shared lounge area was pleasant with a large TV, and the shared kitchen was excellent - all the cooking gear you would need, and complimentary breakfast cereals, milk coffee and tea. There is also a big outdoor BBQ area at the rear of the building. Quiet location.

All very good if you don't mind a small room and shared bathroom facilities.

Very friendly staff, convenient to town & shops. The breakfast extras were appreciated. The kitchen facilities were super clean. Nice wine glasses. Kitchen well equipped. Bedroom as per picture shown. Best pillows ever! We did not find it that noisy, by 10pm all was quiet. A great set-up with laundry facilities and I spotted bikes for hire as well. I will highly recommend Motel Sunshine Coast. Clean, convenient and friendly staff.

•We were there for 4 nights. If I must be critical, The ladies bathroom could have done with a clean towards end of our stay. • on one of the nights I did have to ask guests that were enjoying the shared lounge area to turn down the volume of their conversation (just past midnight) They were apologetic so no tension caused.
