Staff was very lovely when you signed in. The room was clean, fresh and modern.and was perfect for what we needed. We got into Motel around 9 pm. we were only there to sleep as my son had an early morning flight the next day. The only small thing was the TV couldn't get decent reception so we couldn't watch it. I was confused as to where to plug the jug in to make a cup of tea. There wasn't a plug point near the microwave and jug. The only plug was in the bathroom area. There were car parks but they were all taken when we arrived so we parked on the street, not sure if there is a car park for every room? If I needed to stay close to the airport for a night, this would be the place.

It was central to what we needed. The check in lady was absolutely beautiful and a credit to the place. Even though she was working, she still found it within herself to be full of compliments. We had enough beds and didn’t have to share. The linen was crisp and clean and in abundance.

There were a few things that needed tending to. The soap dish was broken and covered with duct tape. The shower gel was empty. There was no screen on the bathroom window. The sliding doors didn’t quite meet properly so the wind howled through the gaps. Those same doors also allowed for noise to creep in.

My detailed review is below: The reason we choose the property was, out flight to Melbourne was cancelled at 4PM & we were provided an alternate option for the next day. In that situation of distress and based on the reviews on Booking.com, we booked this place, booked an Uber & reached there. This is where our experience started: 1) The lady (I forgot to ask her name, else would have mentioned here) at the reception was very friendly & welcomed us with a big smile. She also told us that in case we face similar situation in future, just give a call directly & they will offer better rates :). 2) The room (18) was very neat and clean and surprisingly they had tea-coffee sachets along with cookies as well (which I was least expecting in Red Star, based on my recent experience in one of the best hotels in Sydney, located on Circular Quay, as they failed to provide enough tea-coffee supplies for 5, let alone providing cookies :D). 3) As our flight to Melbourne was next day at 1PM, we were informed that we can leave the room any time we want, don't have to vacate it at 10AM (all this at no additional cost, unlike some big hotels). 4) Location of the hotel is very close to the Palm Beach (5-7 minutes walking), which again was surprisingly less crowded than Surfers Paradise. It is also very close to the airport (around 7-8 kms). 5) There are quite a few eating options, if someone is driving, else Uber Eats deliver everything to the location. 6) The property does have a small pool as well, just in case someone is feeling bit lazy to walk to the beach :). If someone is visiting Gold Coast for a quite break, this place is highly recommended.

I told him about that and his efforts to make me feel better about your motel saved the day ( and a poor review) I’ve been travelling for years and stayed in some fo the best hotels on the world and Korn stands out as one of the best hotel staff members I have come across. The reception staff lady was very welcoming to us. Our room was spacious with lovely cool aircon on a very warm and humid day. The beds were comfy. Nice to have a swim at the nearby beach & in the well-maintained pool, and a balcony on which to dry our cozzies. Short stroll to beach and shops/ restaurants. All up, an enjoyable stay with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Was clean, and beds were comfy. Liked the PowerPoints with usb-A and usb-c charging capabilities. Shower had the most massive shower head in it - nice :) A great park is across the road as well as the beach. A Coles was close by which made it easy to get stuff for microwave meals. Car parking was tight but fine for our Pajero. Was great to have undercover parking off the street.

There was only 2 stools in the room when there was 4 of us staying there. Other than that minor inconvenience, it was fine. Stairs weren’t an issue for us.

Beautifully designed and spacious room a short walk to a really nice beach, I had a great hot shower and slept really well. Under 10 min walk to the supermarket and restaurants. The smart TV has most of the streaming services, there’s a full length mirror and modern charging ports by the bed.

The wifi didn’t work all the time during my stay. Also note that you’ll need to be physically able to carry your luggage up 1-2 flights of stairs.

Lovely and welcoming reception. Freshly and tastefully renovated rooms. Modern, clean bathroom with both overhead rain and removable shower heads. Excellent water pressure and temperature in the shower. Quiet and private location. Bright and welcoming lighting. Comfortable, modern decor. Incredibly comfortable chair. Amazing bed and pillows, felt like sleeping on a cloud.

The exterior looks dated compared to the renovated rooms. Chair had some visible stains. No beach view.

The lady at the front desk was extra lovely . Our room was spacious and clean. The shower was great.

The front room we stayed in was very noisy from the road traffic. May not be so loud in the back rooms. The selfish person that stayed next door kept going in and out front and verandah doors til until after midnight. We were getting up at 3am to attend the Anzac Dawn Service . Very thoughtless.

Staff is friendly and very welcoming. Room is of expectations. Our room runs out of shampoo and got replenished very quickly. Also helped resolving technical issues on TV to keep our kiddos happy. Great location very close to the beach and playground. Wish we stayed one more night to explore the area a bit more.

Kitchen cleanliness can be improved as the cooking stove is oily. Being close to the main road it can be little noisy at night but we were ok.
