The unit was basic, as expected, though they had been renovated a bit I think. They layout was practical, easy and comfy, Little TV on the wall. Mini bar fridge. Tea and coffee with a couple of mugs. Shampoo, conditioner, soap in the shower. Clean towels which were replaced after one night. This was unexpected and appreciated! Staff were exceptional at all times. Friendly and professional. Communication was excellent. Beds and pillows were very good. The unit was incredibly clean. Location is amazing. Literally right across the road from the beach and easy walking distance to cafes etc. Pool looked lovely though we didn't use it this time. Price was cheap. Would 100% stay again and recommend to anyone wanting an email excellent base for a few days in Hervey Bay.

No microwave but lots of cafes nearby.

Staff at reception we well prepared with maps and information and also run a little informal shop which is very helpful as the hotel is close to restaurants but not close to general or liquor stores. The rooms were surprisingly large and well appointed.

Unfortunately the motel rooms are directly on Ann Street which turns out the be the main road from Hervey Bay onto the esplanade and the trucks and vans seemed to start very early with a lot of noise. Being so close to the water, there was quite a lot of salt damage to windows, doors, air con etc. and the motel generally was showing its age.

Room was exceptionally clean, and the beds are some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The location was central (about 2km walk to the pier) - an easy and flat walk, and safe to do both during the day and at night (we did both). Motel itself had a beautiful pool as well, shame we didn't have time to swim. Also liked that it was only a block to an amazing cafe where we had breakfast both days - Spotted Goat - service was faultless, food was absolutely fantastic!

The shower door when being opened leaves a very small gap to get out between the bathroom door - once you figure it out you're ok! Also it's industrial bin day on Thursday mornings - prepare for the truck noise at 5:30am (not controllable, just an observation).

The staff went above and beyond for my son and I. He is only 4 and was getting tired so I called to see if we could check in early, they were happy to assist. On our last morning we had a 4hr drive ahead of us, I took my son to the pool to burn off some of his energy however we were too early for the pool opening time, the staff noticed and was happy to let us in early. Just really accommodating, I was blown away with their customer service.

We had some very nice but noisy top neighbours, stomping and dragging the chair along the floor and it was very noisy in our room however we were still able to get a good nights rest.

The location was amazing as a quick step to the beach. The room was very clean and suited our family. Everything you needed in the kitchen but really needed rangehood. Pool & BBQ facilities were good. Secure and good parking. Great location and close to everything. Amazing people & beaches.

There wasn't much that we didn't like. No rangehood in kitchen so when cooking the whole unit took on the smell even with all the windows & doors open. Older property but maintained well. Lounge seating not big enough for a family and having to sit on the dining chairs, the floor or cubes was not comfortable.

Liked our nearness to the beach. Well positioned to the marina and whale watching tours, restaurants, and a local patisserie with delicious gelato. Staff were friendly, and our unit was lovely and clean. Really appreciated the kitchenette, well stocked with all the pots and pans you'd need to make a meal. Would recommend to anyone who wanted a clean, quiet, friendly, and safe place to stay on holidays. We will definitely stay again when in Hervey Bay.

The beds are very comfy, and the room feels spacious. I requested a ground floor room as I was travelling with my mother. They not only provided us with a ground floor room but also provided a chair for the shower, which was very nice. The grounds are well kept, as is the pool area. There is a lovely restaurant on the corner of the hotel complex where we enjoyed a very nice meal. The hotel is well positioned, directly across from the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Beach Motel.

The only negative is there's a hole in the bathroom tiles near the floor, just outside of the shower door. It was off-putting because you could see into the wall cavity. It needs to be repaired.

Proximity to beach

The ceiling fan was remote-control operated and at times would randomly switch on/off and the light attached to the ceiling fan would do the same thing. We established that each of our surrounding rooms all had the same fan installed. Obviously our neighbours were using their remote to control their fan/light which would also activate our fan/light. Although we spent very little time at the room, the light and fan would turn on randomly throughout the night and early morning. Above the cupboard was very dusty and hadn’t been cleaned in a while and this was the same with the bathroom exhaust fan as lint was easily visible whilst in the shower.

Stayed for a night in Hervey bay, the beach motel was a good place to stay. They’re renovating atm so we had a bit of noise in the morning as walls and windows are really thin. You can here the road/ car but it’s a pretty quiet place so nothing dramatic. Really basic room but enough for a night Staff was really friendly and the pool area is really nice to walk around

Wall too thin for me but I’m a light sleeper so most of people will be more than fine

The check-in and out was super easy. We arrived quite late and left early for a one day Fraser Tour but the receiptionist was so nice and friendly, check-in was easily possible.

Some plates would have been nice as well as cutlery. Also at around midnight out of nowhere the fire alarm went on for around 30 secs while we where deeply asleep and woke about completely confused also hard to fall asleep again as we where unsure what just happens and if it happens again.
