The room was not as expected however I realised I had booked wrong. The staff where quick to provide a cot upon request even though I had not requested one when booking. We used the pool which was warm. The spa was spacious and relaxing. On return to our room, we noticed the air conditioner was leaking. Again, the hotel was quick to send someone to check this issue and a new room offered once the leak was established to be larger than originally thought. The new room was offered at no additional cost although towels and glasses had already been used in the original apartment.

As the units are set up with two together (come through one door then two doors in the foyer area - hard to explain) I was woken by the neighbouring unit returning at 3am as doors were loudly closed (allowed to close/slam).

We could see the water and the island from the balcony. We liked the room, however there were not enough pillows and they were not very good quality. The bed and room overall were great for a family, a big space. The room was neat and tidy and the cleaning of the room was done well, every day we were there. On the downside the bath broke while we were using it. The staff did come however it was over an hour wait but this was a Sunday night and they were very friendly fixing it. The pool is beautiful and warm, the kids loved the spa in the pool area. A great space for everyone. The sofa bed for the kids was not set up to spite us putting them on the booking. It would have been nice if it was ready to go for the kids, as we had called the hotel to let them know we would be a late check that day in due to an accident on the highway. We booked x2 rooms and my Mum and her partner were very happy with there's. Be advised if you are wanting to walk around town you will need to drive. We however were very happy with the dining options around the marina. It was a great location for the tour to K'Gari! We also did a boat trip out of the marina and that was amazing, you can walk to the marina and that made it very easy for us.

The biggest negative of the whole stay was the food in the restaurant was honestly awful. It was very expensive for what you got and very badly done. One night we ordered room service for the kids and it was a very long wait and not great when it arrived. And they sent the wrong things up. The "Free welcome cocktail" was honestly terrible and a waste of our time. The drinks in general were horrendous. I will happily pay top dollar for a cocktail, but the drinks we paid for thinking there would be an improvement were cheaply made, badly executed and quite pricey would not recommend the dining unless they get a new chief and bar staff. I honestly got some very odd, over priced food that was just bad.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was nice and quiet. Room service was good.

Room was OK but could have been better appointed. Signs of some repairs needed in the room ie: shower screen not fully functional, cracked sink, stained carpet. Insufficient secure car parking. Had to park well down the street with some valuables having to remain in the vehicle which wasn't ideal. Wouldn't recommend if you are into the restaurant scene as a bit far away from the main hussle and bussle of the main eating precincts if you were planning to walk.....

The dinner we had was delicious and the staff,Harley in the Kitchen explained what we needed to know about the meals and made our anniversary "stay away" a pleasure. The room staff helped with extra milk requirements for coffee and tea. It was a quiet location even with the room being by the pool which people were enjoying. The buffet breakfast had a great selection and was enjoyable.The starting time at 630am suited as we are early risers. Sightseeing included The Piet which was popular as everyone had the same idea. All staff friendly from check-in to checkout. Car parking was available underneath so safe and secure.Would highly recommend staying there and pricing affordable.

That we did not stay longer!

The pool and ground floor room was very clean and just what was needed. Easy access to the pool for a family.

Couldn’t adjust the aircon air flow. Could do with a screen on the door so no flies and mosquitoes get in. Bed was a little hard. Could do with a topper. Some cutlery and plates would be great, and a toaster/ microwave- particularly as the restaurant is closed on Mondays and doesn’t open for lunch. Room service would be a bonus. Needed a clothes airer to dry pool and swimmers.

My room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and the staff were all helpful and polite. Very good value for the price.

The hotel restaurant didn't have a single vegetarian main course on its otherwise comprehensive menu. Not one. But judging by other local restaurants whose menus I looked at online, that seemed to be pretty much the norm. Disappointing. Come on guys, it's the 21st Century!

The reception staff were wonderful, and vey helpful. The rooms were a good size and nice and clean.

We were told by one of the staff members at check in that the restaurant was open until 8:30pm. We had arrived late so quickly dropped our gear of and rushed back to Smokey Joes to get some dinner only to be told (in a rather blunt manner) that the kitchen was closed @ 8:10. The greeter must have been having a bad night as she was not overly polite at all. Not sure who was incorrect but was a little annoying for us.

Clean and well maintained although the swimming pool had deteriorated since our last stay some four years ago. Deep end was stained and we didn’t see anyone clrani g the pool during the five days we were there !

As above, the swimming pool did not have the blue sparkle it used to have. Smokey Joe’s restaurant had minimal staff and you had to order at the counter. Menu seemed to have less options than we remembered. That said, the meals were good.

Very clean, comfortable and perfect for our short stay. Enjoyed the sunny balcony.

No restaurant due to renovation work but snacks, drinks, ice creams and readymade meals available to buy so not a problem for us. Bedroom felt a bit damp but there were moisture catchers hanging in and on top of the wardrobe. Lots of ants in the room on our first day.

The room was great - comfortable bed and a seat in the shower - lovely

I did not know that we were going to get a room on the 1st floor - would have preferred ground floor but was not asked at the time of booking for a preference - that would have been nice as we are not as young as we used to be. When we came back to the hotel at 11.30pm there were no parks in the secure parking - we had a large amount of very expensive music equipment in our vehicle and had to park it unsecured on the street - would be nice to be able to reserve a parking spot
